    Nathan you get some amazing vehicles. I would be high on life if I got to drive stuff like this all the time.

    My Dad had one of these--I remember waving good bye (5 years old) to it on the day it left the driveway for the last time. Old man came home with a 61 Merc Monterey. What a come down. He regained his senses in '64 when he brought home a shiny grey suicide door Continental. Wow! 1960's Lincolns are still the standard by which all others are judged. Keep your Eldorados and foreign cars absurd...

      Joe Mahoney I’m a hardcore Cadillac fan through and through, however Lincoln has some really impressive autos. I’ll give them that.

    Cars back then were works of arts. Now they are just works of mass production. ;) This one is gorgeous!

    This is my dream car. A little flashy for a high school student, but I'd definitely drive the hell out of it.

      Never can be too flashy for a high school student, this is a symbol of American engineering, a time when America was prosperous and a time when Americans were happy and lived a good simple wholesome life. So if this is your dream car by all means get it.

    Man these old Lincoln's are just so cool! I liked them up until about the mid 70's models.

    Lol at Walter. I thought it was a Packard when I went to watch this. Fabulous car and the flaws make it better. Old cars should have a bit of a patina.

    other than its a 4 door, its freakin awesome, but people arent as concerned as they were about 4doors as they used to be, because just about any old 50s cars are getting hard to come by. i love it.

    Futura que's on this car. Suppose to have wow factor. Buyers must have been mad when the '58 Lincoln's debute.

  • @bigcrowfly
    @bigcrowfly 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow, this is a classic car, in a whole different class than the other cars you list. Most cars in classic car museums, if you look at them closely are not as nice as this one. I'll bet there is an interesting story about how you came about to get this one in your inventory.

    Really nice car. IMO though, they completely over-styled 57 from that god awful vent looking thing back. They could have been subtle like in the front and it would have been really nice. 56 was a masterpiece.

    man this car is cool n all but the nex generation the 58-60 model is the best lookin one the 1960 model has the best dash. But they were some huge cars they were like 227 inches long, thats the same length as a modern SUV!

  • @PAUL_K

    The tail is great! 368 Y Block gained more power compare to '56 but they screwed up the front with 2 additional lights though

  • @jamesdavis5729

    Fabulous car. Not to nitpick, but it's a Salon Classic Cruiser. Bad things happen to cars that are saloon cruisers, and I would certainly not want anything happen to this beauty.

  • @califdad4
    @califdad4 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the wire wheels! Some people I knew here in Northern Calif, had one just like this, escept for the wheels. Same color etc. Last I saw it was still in the family homes backyard. I will have to check and see if they still have it. I think they bought it in 1962 from some poeple in town that replaced it with a new 1962 Lincoln

      I bet its oringial paint , as nice as this is, it was kept in a garage, which would extent the paint life. Did you sell it yet?

    4 doors is about all you can get on a lot of models. Years ago we wouldn't be caught driving a 4 door, it was so embarrasing. Now no one thinks anything about it.

    I'm poor just out of high school. I want to live life, and start by restoring a car. not getting in debt, I was wondering if you have any contacts that might help me find a 57 like this. it can't be a rust bucket, but I can't afford something this beautiful. somewhere in the middle.

    • @dylanmccallister6739
      @dylanmccallister6739 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay let me update, I read further down that the reason there are creaks and pops is because the stock motor has enough torque to twist the Tranny in its mounts a little. Idk if it is worth buying if I have to stiffen the frame to support 500lb ft of torque or more for the engine I would drop in. which sucks, this is the coolest looking 50s car out there.
