@@MaximumDIY ok thanks. You've inspired me. I've done an intro to welding course at Tafe. Stick, mig & tig. I have an old AC stick welder & an old gas mig. Just got to pull my finger out. 😩
@@1mach28914u1 I'm so glad I've inspired you Mark! - There aren't many of us DIY'ers left! If I could give you some advice with welding on a mig, perform some test welds on a few pieces of metal and see what works best. Then mark the voltage setting and feed speed with a sharpie on the side of the welder for quick reference if your welder doesn't have a welding chart. For example on my Ozito welder (17.4v @ 16 speed) works really well for 3mm steel. Also don't be afraid to crank the welder up to max and see what it's caipable of, for years I never used my welder past the 3rd setting and found it was so much better when using more power in the correct application. A good welding gun also helped me out massively as the Euro Mig guns use an electric switch on the gun instead of the cheap valve/switch in one unit and I found it hard to press the trigger - chechout more on that in this video th-cam.com/video/NduMVNdxVEM/w-d-xo.html Remember, Like / Share / Subscribe.

Next, fit the trailer with Sunraysia rims and sell the Ford Falcon rims for big money!
Looks great. How much for the floor metal?
Hi Mark
From memory it cost $120 from Southern Steel, 2.5m x 1.4m 2mm steel checker plate.
