    Both of you are the most positive vlogger I've ever seen. Chow Kit is near Kampung Baru. I used to go there during my college years to have porridge or nasi lemak (nasi lemak antarabangsa) after finish clubbing at 3:00am 🙂. You can find many locals go to Kampung Baru after midnight.

      Beer For Breakfast I live and work in Johor Bahru (JB) now 😄. Although most Johorean work in Singapore because of the high exchange rates but stay in JB due to cheaper rents and etc. I hope both you have a great time exploring Malaysia. I think you can find many other attractions updated by locals on foursquare apps.

    such is the unpredictable weather of Malaysia, one moment it would be so damn hot and next thing you know,torrential rain pouring like crazy LOL Whilst I was living in London for 3 years, the one thing I missed the most there was the heavy rain back in Malaysia believe it or not. None of that teasing drizzle in UK.

    The food and desserts looks so delicious. Was the Indian food plate with bread really spicy? I was at the bath caves 5 years back and don't recall them charging entrance to dark. cave. Loving the vlog!!!! Thx for sharing.

    • @BeerForBreakfast
      @BeerForBreakfast  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey John! The sauces weren't actually spicy. I know that a lot of locals look at us funny when we order Nasi Lemak or Roti Canai or even that burger that Micha had... because they think that we won't be able to handle the spiciness of the food, but it really isn't that bad to our taste. We actually love it! We haven't had any dish yet where we wouldn't handle it and had to stop eating it haha. Everything we had so far was super yummy and we keep coming back to some places just around our area here in Cyberjaya 😋
      Ahhh, maybe that is something new that they introduced with this charge, ohhh well hehe.
      As always, thanks for watching our videos! 🙏

    Hiello again.May I ask about the price of the Roti Canai? Was it really £1.33? I think it was overpriced.Normally a Roti Canai would cost around RM1 or slightly more at mamak restaurants.

    • @BeerForBreakfast
      @BeerForBreakfast  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey there, that price was actually for two roti canai, sorry if it wasn't clear in the video. It was just a quick stopover at the closest cafe close by KL central as we had to catch a train to Batu Caves so we didn't go too far from the area 😉

    • @BeerForBreakfast
      @BeerForBreakfast  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey June! We love it here as we can almost call it our home base whilst we are exploring Malaysia. We chose Cyberjaya as the apartments here are super modern with a speedy wifi and that's exactly what we need now whilst we are still settling in with our online jobs. We actually don't mind that it's 1 or more hour away from KL central, we have stayed in KL almost two years ago for a week and we believe that it's time to stay at different areas :) We just find it very convenient here in Cyberjaya, plus you can always go biking around the lakes, etc :) I guess each to their own choice :)

    Wow.. it's just amazing that u enjoy the Chow Kit Market.. the real wet market actually located at the back.. but nothing much u can find there except raw cooking material... Salak is also known as snake fruits which it's name obviously came from the snake-scales-looking-skin.. and girls.. u are pretty brave to try Air Balang or Big Jar Drink.. I don't really suggest u to try that, as the drink might be in the jars for days and the seller keep refilling it with new batch next morning.. and, finger crossed, hopefully u didn't catch diarrhea later.. ever since u loved satay so much.. please plan a trip to Kajang.. they are the sate Mecca in Malaysia.. and home to famous Haji Samuri Sate chain.. there are a food court, Medan Sate, that dedicated only for sate in Kajang.. besides chicken n beef, they also serves mutton, duck, rabbit, venison, beef tripe, beef lung, beef bone sate.. for innards sate, locals tend to spice it heavily to clear the gamey taste n it's works really well.. u can get there by MRT but u have to get to the KL city first.. however, Kajang is very near to your place in Cyberjaya and would takes around 20-30 minutes drive.. so Uber/Grab is the best to get there..

      Can you stated the cases of diarrhea in Malaysia caused by air balang. How often the cases of diarrhea in Malaysia caused by air balang. Please don't give false statement to tourist if you not sure, and how you know that the seller keep refilling it with new batch next morning....If there is any cases of diarrhea caused by air balang, I pretty sure the local autority will not allowed any stall to sale air balang to the customer.

      Satay kajang haji samuri chain is overrated nowadays. It was superb in the old days because its prepared in more traditional ways and fresh but since its been 'too commercialised', the satay were prepared much too early and they kept it frozen sometimes for days to catch up with the demand. Their peanut sauces, however, is still the one worthy to try for. I live in Kajang and we Kajang people are more into Satay Willy now. It's main branch located at the Sungai Ramal foodcourt but you can find one of their branch in Bangi (Section 7). Give it a try when you are back in Malaysia. Chasing a Plate had tried all three famous Satay Kajang and rated Satay Willy as the best, just so you know. Cheers!

    • @BeerForBreakfast
      @BeerForBreakfast  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have been into a few places which state Nasi Kandar. Can you explain a little bit about it? We did ask when we dined at a restaurant but didn’t really get a good answer to explain it properly on our vlog.

    • @BeerForBreakfast
      @BeerForBreakfast  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But we will 100% try it again!!

    • @Sharan0161992
      @Sharan0161992 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's mainly a north Malaysian dish. Of what I have heard the name "Nasi Kandar" means rice carried on shoulders... during old times people used to sell plates of rice with different types of curries and they didn't have shops or permanent buildings. Hence they would carry it on their shoulders and sell door to door!!
      But on the other hand I personally love the fact that there is so much variety to choose from and there is no set menu, it's like a buffet but you pay at the end once the waiter sees whats on your plate and writes a reasonable bill.
