    Almost every review I had seen said this plugin sounded amazing, so I tried out the demo.
    After playing with it a little while, I thought, "I sound better without this thing, than I do with it."
    So I found this video, watched it and took notes, and tried again.
    WOW !!! I love it now. It sounds amazing.
    Your video was not the first one I watched, but it's definitely the first one that actually gave me a clear understanding of how to get best results with this fabulous plugin.

    Your video was exactly what I was looking for - a detailed, thorough explanation of everything in the Waves Tune RT plugin. Thank you.

    Excellent presentation. I only wish you had touched on the presets, which can be a good starting point, especially for amateurs.

    When you play the midi to create harmonies, can you play a chord? If so, you could follow the chords adding a 7-chord, 9-chord or the relative pararell minor/major chord. If this track is in Fm, you could play a Cm as a harmony. That would add both the m7 and the m9...

      Hey Curtiss1965,
      I should have clarified this a bit more before feebly attempting to demonstrate what it does. When I called up the second track, that was the original without any pitch correction or change. The track I was working on was being moved to the pitch I played on the keyboard. You cannot make chords although that would be a cool feature to add in.
      Cheers!
      Mike

    I find when I use this it sounds doubled. Also sounds more stereo then mono. Is that just the sound?

    When using it post-recording like this, and as a plugin in the mixing phase, do you experience any latency on the vocal track at all?

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No latency at all. It is all delay compensated.

    If I want to also fine tune vocal after using this insert, should I bounce the results to a new track so I don't have double processing going on? Or, once used, does this insert print the changes and I can effective just remove it after vocals are recording? Make sense?

    I get confuse with real time and waves tune. Like is there difference with the two? Do I use both during different circumstances? Like do I record with real time then afterwards apply waves tune to correct what real time couldn’t or both do the same thing just different workflow? Thank you, if you reply I’m really stuck on this.

    Hi Mike, I’ve buy wave too, but i need help to link my midi keyboard to that pitch procedure... I’m using Logic Pro, opened a track audio with singer, called the wave tune plugin and so? How I can manage the pitch with my keyboard 🎹

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you need to load up the Waves Tune ReWire plugin on a separate track

      Waves Tune is more or less like Melodyne. So it depends on what you would like to achieve. For detailed corrections on single notes, single vibratos etc. go for Waves Tune. If you just have to smooth out the performance a bit, try the Real Time.
      If you're not sure, try this one here first and if you recognize, that you need to work on details, use Waves Tune.
      Maybe one addition: Waves Tune sounds remarkable, but other than Melodyne, it can't do timing.

    how do i get rid/minimize the latency when tracking vocals?

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depending on the DAW, it is usually done by making the audio and plugin buffers as small as possible. It is not easy to set this up so the performer hears the pitch correction because there will always be some latency in the processing and the ADC and DAC conversion stages.
      Waves has a digigrid system that makes this possible at less than 1ms latency.
      Cheers!
      Mike

      schuck, then you don't know how to use it property, if it auto corrects pitch, then it can do EXACTLY what autotune does

    • @ronadish1
      @ronadish1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes when you make the speed and transition fastest and use the 'target pitch' with a keyboard

    it's better waves tune real time or antares autotune?

    • @mixingwithmike
      @mixingwithmike  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are basically doing the same thing and both sound great. The workflow is a bit different and I think that would be the deciding factor.

    I understand that you're trying to explain the machine but I think you're overthinking it and being too technical it's not very informative and it doesn't sound like it's doing anything that would make you want to spend any kind of money on even $38

  • @ricot5391
    @ricot5391 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not doubting your abilities as a producer but I think you're not very good at explaining things cuz it's not making it seem worthwhile
