Celebrating Our Team!

St. Mary’s General Hospital shone a spotlight on our incredible team members, recognizing their unwavering commitment to compassionate care. Time and time again, they’ve answered the call, generously giving of themselves, their talents, and their time. From 10 to 40 years, these dedicated individuals have made healthcare not just a job but a lifelong mission.
We also celebrated medical excellence, presenting the 2023 Lackner Award for Medical Excellence to the outstanding Dr. Dan Charleton.
Additionally, we had the privilege of honouring five exceptional individuals who embody our shared mission through the Sisters of St. Joseph with the Mission Legacy Award. Congratulations to Greta DeLonghi, Dixie Goetz, Lee Fairclough, Leisa Faulkner, and Lloyd Schneider for their outstanding contributions.

Dr. Dan Charleton is my surgical oncologist and I couldn't agree more with this award. From the moment he took on my case he demonstrated an extraordinary level of care and professionalism. Dr. Dan went above and beyond, was incredibly thorough , clear, and compassionate. After my initial surgery he remained accessible and responsive during my recovery and quickly addressed a common post-operative issue. Dr. Dan remains very communicative and concerned about my future treatment. He is very deserving of this award!
