Please ask very technical questions. Chandrayaan-2 is sucess and not a Failed mission. Chandrayaan-3 lander has already communicated with Chandrayaan-2 orbiter. So no need of orbiter in Chandrayaan-3 mission. And Chandrayaan-2 is a big learning for Chandrayaan-3 mission.

But the question many have and missed by the interviewer is how come the US landed several missions in 60' s with two men walking in moon, a 3rd one taking circles and fianlly all coming back.Why is even a great space super power like Russia that sent first satelite, man, station in space fail to just land. Why the US says it needs 2 years to land again in moon with a rover while it could do so in Mars. Then really Apollo missions did happen? Then why so much uncertainty now.
Bro there is a difference between a crewed landing and autonomous landing..for a crewed spacecraft there is a pilot who can grab the stick, who can adjust course, control rotation and attitude, choose landing site etc..even perform some repairs onboard if needed, autonomous craft needs to do all this by itself using its onboard software. There are so many factors that can go wrong during landing also due to the rough terrain of the moon which is why so many moon missions failed. Of course appollo missions were more risky, but landing part is more difficult using an autonomous craft than a piloted craft. Remember that Neil Armstrong handled the craft manually since the automatic landing software was going to land on an edge of a boulder.
That was a fake landing in the surface of moon being shot in the studio( pls see the Google videos about fake moon landing).Even with latest computers,equipment& technology it is so difficult to land a satellite on the moon.you can imagine the technology in 1960-1970 with not even a super computer being developed at that time.How can the so called astronauts just "walk in" moons surface??😁😁.Most crucially the video released by NASA showed shadow of the astronauts in moons surface and a shadow of any object cannot be formed in moon surface conclusively proving that it was a hoax .
this is gonna be in the south pole where there are deep craters and rough terrain. Lunar gravity near the poles is the highest than what it is near moons equator. Apollo missions were never near the south pole..No country has ever landed in the geographical lunar south pole..It involves complex manoeuver. Besides our budget is much lower than that of NASA which means we have to achieve this feat with a limited resources with less sophisticated equipments to kp the checks and balances Chandrayan -3 is AI powered..chances of it failing shld be minimal..lets hope for the budget

Landing in South pole would be meaningless for a manned mission but the landing is the same as elsewhere. And no loops were taken by Apollo and reducing speed from 2kms per second to 0 at landing over weeks. It was all done so fast. It shows that the Americans have far far superior technology and we with small budgets do remarkable things now. Why Russia with an advanced space technology even challenging the Americans failed is a mystery. Sending a pilot to control orbiter and two others to land is unbelievable compared to what others try. Human lives are the most precious and Americans sent several missions.

put plain and simple...this one is gonna be near the south pole where the lunar gravity is the highest besides as Mr.Sivan mentioned the terrain is rough without much of a flat piece of land...Apollo missions were never near the poles and it was " human-controlled " where there is less " Error- Margin " than it would be when it is guided by onboard computers with instructions being signalled from earth. Its is easier said than done..

They launched Apollo missions 1 to 10 before the manned mission, and it's worth noting that the time gap between some of these missions was less than three months. With their substantial budget and talent, it was certainly achievable. And all of this is done in less than a decade.

US did not make to moon. The footage showed was costly film shot in high deserts of Neveda to fool whole world. There is very informative TH-cam video about how US made fake lunar landing backed by comments of scientists of that time.
