Wow, what a beautiful video - we are going to India in 2 months and hope to see beautiful birds like this - thank you for sharing your great nature videos!
Wow! until I saw your video, I had no idea that they were that rare in the UK - here in India, it's a quite common open woodland bird - it doesn't seem to be too fussy, as we get to see it in wooded areas in cities as well...
Thanks for this reply. Orioles are indeed a strange bird in the UK as they are a bird that (in theory) should be doing well as our summers get hotter year on year - but the truth is that they are fussy! Not only are they hard to see in general but they are also incredibly fussy with their choice of habitat and food. They only really like mature Poplar woods and where I filmed my bird, the numbers have gone down as the wodos have died off or been cut. 1/2
There is going to be a wait of at least 10+ years before the new woods that have been planted for them are of a good enough size that they can count as new territories for expansion. And, in the meantime, their numbers go down. I hope they don't go extinct as a breeding bird before the new trees are ready!
they are not that common there! i was in middle of india for 6 months and i didnt see any well enough so that i think... OH a golden oriol!!! and they are bright yellow, so i didnt see one clearly or i would have known it!!!

Piękne Greetings from Poland!
Golden Oriole is a bird appreciated for its beautiful colour and song in the width and breadth of the Chitral valley, northern Pakistan.
