I must say Alexander Hamilton had a cute grin. If I was about 30 years younger. He looks cheeky 😂They were amazing. I've never seen it. My son and daughter in law have seen it. They said it was absolutely amazing
I'm a bit late to respond, but in case you want to know how INCREDIBLE this cast is, I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what was going- either people sick or all on leave, out of the whole cast, there were two understudies, three standbys and three swings. This included Alexander, Eliza, Washington, Mulligan/Madison, and Laurens/Philip. It was also the debut of Jordan Benjamin as Hamilton (usually Laurens/Philip). So basically, not your regular performance at all, and I'm pretty sure the never would have rehearsed this combination... And holy crap. They didn't miss a beat. Sure, they're West End professionals, but that's impressive as hell. I've seen a lot of shows over the years (in Australia mainly, but licensed productions), and Hamilton is honestly one of, if not the best show I've ever seen.
Right…there is a section of British society that aren’t over the end of Empire. They vote Reform, or Conservative (as in they will even this time round), and have no sense of humour about the Royals either. And it’s an ageing demographic. The rest of us? Yep, happy to laugh at our country 😂
To be honest, the United Kingdom took over so many parts of the world that losing the battle of independence isn’t even a significant part of British history 😂
@@danculbert6349 I know. There's a marvelous book called Redcoats and Rebels, that tells the history of the American Revolution from the British point of view. It's charming how little it mattered to most British, even at the time. The King was annoyed, and so were a few parliamentarians, but fundamentally the colonists won their independence not because they made it impossible for the British to defeat them but because they made it expensive and irritating, and so they quit bothering. It would probably have been different if the British had any real idea at the time just what enormous resources were going to end up in the hands of whoever governed that continent. But they didn't have that information at the time. Losing India mattered a lot more.
You can just see how happy and amazed that so many people are singing along word for word. That must be so amazing for theatre actors as normally they don’t have audience participation.
True! They have to actively discourage theater audiences from singing along, because it’s a more intimate experience and nobody wants to be seated beside the person who sings along. But in this environment, it feels like a festival and the actors are able to interact with the fans.

Rightttt?!? I got to see her as eponine last year and I’m hoping to watch Hamilton again but with her as Eliza (last time I watched Hamilton was with Rachel anne go as Eliza :))
The joy you see in the faces of this cast, and their audience interaction, says so much about Lin’s work. When he played the title role, he always seemed amazed at where he was, at what he had brought to life.
Fantastic performance! Energy from the crowd is amazing! Just saw Hamilton on Broadway in the States. The line "History is happening in Manhattan and we just happen to be in the greatest city in the world" hits different when you are in NYC! Bravo to this cast, so great to see Hamilton's popularity is universal.
Such a great performance! Especially Eliza ❤ her dad is my dentist and he is super crazy proud of her. So wonderful to hear the stories of his daughter from him 🎉 congrats ❤
The highlight of our London trip was this! Just watched this last week and for a high school musical performer like me, this was a dream come true to be able to watch the real deal and in Victoria palace no less.❤
Don't want to admit how many times I've rewatched this performance 😂🙈. Easily my favourite performance of the day. So glad they finally kept in the audience singing along 🙏😍
Absolutely adore the audience just singing along and knowing every word! Tears! What an experience for cast and audience both! I've never seen anything like this.
oh gosh! i really hope i can go and see this cast - they look incredible and the energy is DEFINITELY there! jordan (angelica) has SUCH a gorgeous accent and everyone is so good at singing💕💕
Thought I recognised the actor of Hamilton here, turns out he was Alfie Lewis in house of anubis on Nickelodeon and was a massive part of my childhood.
OK I have never seen Hamilton, but as a lover of musical theater, am excited to go see it as my Christmas present with my sister in January. Was trying to go in blind, but had to look it up. 'Cause I like to know the songs. . .
Went to the performance July 4th at the Royal theater. I don’t think there are any words to describe how amazing it was. I only wish I had a recording. I would watch it everyday, no exaggeration. ❤

The fact that this cast hasn't even done a full week of shows yet and they slayed this hard!!
Peggy really Peggy’d😂😂

I admit I think it's hilarious to hear a British crowd enthusiastically singing, "When are these colonies gonna rise up?" 😂
How
During this General Election campaign I think it's a very positive sign.

The actress of Angelica is insanely amazing.
She has the sass, the movement and the big sister vibe
“Burr” at the start is like… hold up yall really know all the words 😅

The energy the crowd brings omg to realise people who come to see the shows know every word

I was thinking the same thing! They come the closest I’ve seen to capturing the essence of that original Broadway cast to me.
