Love your videos. Definitely inspiring me to start modding my own. I owned one of these watches in middle school. I thought it was the coolest thing, but most kids at school actually made fun of me for it haha (guess their parents never showed them back to the future!). I still ended up sporting it anyways and still have it to this day as well as a few other Casio watches. I've been into modding retro consoles and doing similar projects for the longest time so I don't know how it took me so long to find out that the watch I was wearing could have some mods done was well. Thanks for opening my eyes!
The CA53 is one I wear VERY often. I always tell my wife if it had a light, It would wear it every single day. Great job on the mod, I wish I had a website or something I would want to put on an NFC card >_
No light is a big disadvantage... There's surely enough space in there. You can use your NCF as a business card, it creates a new contact on the phone instantly.
I've seen a lot of people asking about the fact this watch doesn't have a light. Does anyone know if there is ANY possible way to install a light on this watch? I love it already but that would make it next-level.
Awesome video, thanks for the upload! I have one question, where can I find the colour filter that you used or similar? Maybe some key word to search it on the internet please 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I want to try something similar, but instead of using a colour filter over the display I'd like to put some glow-in-the-dark material on the back so it works in the dark. Any ideas on how to go about that? Otherwise, brilliant idea with the NFC tags, love it.
Is it possible to make the screen more visible in night by adding the color gel, for example yellow one? You know when you put on yellow sunglasses at night then you have the feeling like there is more light in the room. When You added your color gel then the watch is more or less visible in dark room?
I inverted the LCD on my Casio F-91W and added an NFC tag as you did but now i can't find a practical use for the NFC tag :( Nice job though, on the CA53W the tag can be closer to the phone so it can be read much faster than on the F-91W because on the F-91W it has to be located behind the screen, so the CA53W might be the ideal NFC tag watch for what it's worth
I must admit that LCD mod made the watch look even more 80's, and i love it
Nothing better than a little 80s nostalgia . as a kid I recieved my first casio watch and it started my 40 year obsession with Casio 🤘
Now it looks even more retro and old school Nice 👍
One of my favourite :)
I've had mine for 5 years, design of this watch is incredible
Couldn't agree more!
Awesome! I did a similar mod with my Royale, but I used a green gel filter.

Someone has to figure it out
I know please do
casio dbc 32 has a light, its my work watch
It's now a Fashion Statement...But I did use the calculator function alot when I had 1 of these over 20 years ago.
True, that's what I was trying to say.
Lovely as usual
Thanks!
Nice man! Good luck 👍
Thanks
Beautiful
Thanks!
The ultimate in 80s aesthetic
A good light and countdown timer is needed. Add a dual time and it would be a better watch.
Great idea. Got a link for the tags you used? I don't want to order ones that don't fit.
Yes, I updated links in the description.
1:49 where can i find the book?
Ebay. Rosco color, roscolux
Can you now also pay with the watch using the NFC?
Have you had a go at modding the A700? Any extra difficulties with the thinner dimensions than most other casios?
I have A700 but never moded it

look for Lee Filters or Rosco Color swatch books
@@Techsas thanks for the answer!
0:50 What happened there? 0.16gm of sniffing powder?
That's obviously a self raising flour that I used for my baking channel
@@Techsas That was really very convincing, I totally believe you. Self-raising indeed.

are there any like glow in the dark transparent foils?
Will you do a clean face mod on f91w
That's a lot of work. Check out @N-O-D-E he did it.
Where can I get a colored grid marked gel, does anyone know?
Very cool 😎
Can you tell me if this nfc tags are rewritable? I need to be then rewritable to use with Arduino. Thanks
also what’s the exact NFC chip model you use?
I updated links in the description, have a look.
Great video, where I can buy nfc?
Great Video! have you personally installed NFC into the f91w? any issues?
Yes I have, it has to go under the lcd so it's a bit harder to get it with your phone once installed.
Could you hook that NFC tag up to Apple Pay?
looool the scale
Back to the Future....
What is NFC tag?
Why u stop making new videos ?.
I'm very lazy

Exactly, CA53 is much better for NFC!
You can use tag as business card.
0:50 😂❄️
👍👍🇹🇷
Ausem..
we all just lost the game, come on, i just restarted two weeks ago after a three year streak
Have you had a go at modding the A163W? Any extra difficulties with the thinner dimensions than most other casios?
Shouldn't be any difficulties.
