Not only has Dimash trained since he was 5 yrs. old, he loved to get on stage with his mother who is also a singer from the time he was a 2 yrs. old....no wonder he's confident. Dimash is a natural born performer and the stage is his 2nd home:-) Another reason to love Dimash is although he's extremely talented and confident, he's NOT arrogant or conceited but very humble and appreciative of his family, friends and fans.
I agree with you about that feeling of being completely under his spell and fully willing to follow him whatever he asks. I get that very same feeling. Theres something in our biology that makes us crave the leadership of charismatic confident marvels like Dimash in a way thats impossible to resist when they display their dazzling mind boggling dominance like he does here.

Maybe you don’t know who is the inspiration and the idol of dimash. She is a Belgian singer called Lara Fabian. And maybe you should listen her singing in live : « je suis malade » to really understand what is a pure emotional storytelling.

I, as most, when I discovered Dimash I was blown away. I would watch as much of his work as I could find. Then I reached a saturation point. It wasn’t that I was no longer was thrilled by his work it was that the depth of his work began to really affect me. The power of his performances is earth shattering. Then when you get the English translations the power of his message leaves you barely able to breathe. I just started watching his 2020 concert and am taking it in sections so as to really feel the impact. His message to us is spiritual.
Janet...first let me say that I find YOU to also be intoxicating, a living, breathing, beautiful woman with a deep, soulful attraction to music. I'm an old man, sang for my supper back in the 70's and 80's, made a decent living for about 28 years, sang over 560,000 songs before enduring 5 surgeries for polyps and that was the end of that. So I've heard a lot of people sing really well in my long life...Streisand, Celine, Whitney, Pavarotti, Adam Lambert and hundreds more who were or still are capable of amazing vocals. And then I heard this guy, Dimash. It's Feb 2, 2020 and I have only been listening to him for about a week, which really amazes me 'cause he's been around for a while yet I had never heard of him. So I watched at least 50 videos of him, each time being more and more astounded with his vocal capabilities. It took a while to find you even though I was going through 'reaction' videos all day and night. And then, all of a sudden...there you were. A highly intelligent, drop-dead gorgeous woman, reacting to Dimash, not just with her ears but with her heart. Many of the other Vocal Coaches try to explain what it is they think they're hearing and they talk through the song. But in the end of almost every clip I have watched, they all say the same thing in different words...he may be the greatest vocalist any of us have ever heard. That's sayin' something right there, no? We are, all musicians and singers, in absolute AWE of what we are hearing! I don't know how long it will take before someone in the US hears him and gets him hooked up. That kind of talent is way beyond anything I've ever heard in my life and it needs to be heard by all those who appreciate good music. And your reaction to this song and one other (I forgot which one...doesn't matter) is so, so REAL. I literally 'felt' your emotions riding side by side with my own and that's because, not only does he have this incredible set of vocal cords, he also emotes and draws you in to his musical theatre. For me, that is the best part and I think you would agree. A six-octave range doesn't hurt either! Thank you for spending some time with us and bringing your love of music and Dimash to us. For the record, I would love to hear you sing. You look like you can sing but unlike many of the Vocal Coaches who like to show off their pipes (and that's only the women...men don't even TRY!!!) by pausing the clip so that they can show us how good THEY are, that irks me. I love watching their reactions, though. He certainly is something special. And so are you, Confidence Coach! Keep up the good work...

Great reaction! This performance was just Dimash having fun, and firing up the audience. This is the only time Dimash sang Opera 2 in public. His performance was so good, Vitas (original artist) threatened to sue Dimash if he ever performed it again. If you want to grade Dimash on feeling, Adagio is an excellent choice for one of his early performances. His English isn't perfect, but his delivery is.
I’m glad to find a reaction to his stage presence. As much as I’m in awe of his range of voice, I also can’t stop watching the way he moves. His facial expressions the hand and body movements are so delicate and elegant that it moves with the song and that when we watch and listen to him he moves us is different place. Great reaction to Dimash from "I am a singer" 2017 episode 2. Dimash was new and still a little nervous. He was not well know so the more you see from him the better it will be. In 2017 his he had to learn English so that was sometimes not perfect. But like you said when performing a song perfect even with emotion in it who cares about that. Beautiful music is all we whant. In Episode 3 he sings "The show must go on" witch is very good and in Episode 4 he sings Äutumn strong" witch is legendary good.

Several Dimash songs have incredible deep and powerful stories that need to be hear to understand why Dimash chose to perform them. The backstory is then followed by The Singer performance. Highly recommended watching!
Thank you for your analysis!! If it's story telling you are looking for again, then "Autumn Strong" from Singer 2017 is probably the best song to watch from Dimash. It's about the real life story of a Japanese-born Chinese female singer and it's the first song Dimash learned in Mandarin. It's a beautiful melody and Dimash showcases amazing artistry. Be sure to react to Gloria Wu's version, where she is also giving the backstory in the video and has provided subtitles (search "Gloria Wu Dimash Autumn Strong" and it's the first to pop up). "Daybreak" from Bastau is also an amazing storytelling song. Again, based on a real story (and quite sad). In any case, I highly recommend "Ogni Pietra" from his Arnau concert. It's an anthemic operatic song, one of Dimash's best moments in my personal opinion. It's really really powerful, magestic and so vocally demanding!!! I don't think there is anybody right now who could sing the song the way Dimash does.
Totally agree with all 3 of those! I cried the first time I watched Autumn Strong, and that was without the subtitles - it was purely the way Dimash sang it, the emotion & storytelling in his voice, his gestures...and all that having only a week to learn it in a language he didn't know! Janet, in case you didn't know, he was invited onto The Singer as a wildcard, having won competitions back in Kazakhstan - he was 22 and came out as the 1st contestant on the 1st show & sang SOS (the vid you reviewed last time was a later one by 2 or 3 yrs) and just blew everyone away! Just for fun, watch the vid of it & you'll see the reactions :D He won that week's vote and came back next week & did this one & won the vote again (not surprisingly!). Overall at the end of the competition, he came 2nd and so the world domination began!!! I've been Dimashed for a year now and was gutted to find out I'd missed a concert in London by 2 months :( so am hoping so much he comes back...or at least gives us some crumbs by finally releasing a CD!! It won an annual award for 2019 & you can pick between any version except for at the European Olympic ceremony since they only briefly showed him singing.

I agree with the others, he's not actually interpreting the lyrics of this song which are kind of sad. He's telling the story of his own awesomeness here lol. But he's a superb storyteller in every other song & invariably moves me to tears. A suggestion I haven't seen yet is Samaltau, the story of the tragedies of 1916. Out of this world 💔

Dimash is another level of storyteller. He even adds the "s" sound on the end of French words in S.O.S. to generate a higher emotional tone. His performance of Daybreak, Autumn Strong and Love of Tired Swans is unearthly. He makes you feel the story as if it's your story. Love Dimash, hope he has a long career in singing.

I, as most, when I discovered Dimash I was blown away. I would watch as much of his work as I could find. Then I reached a saturation point. It wasn’t that I was no longer was thrilled by his work it was that the depth of his work began to really affect me. The power of his performances is earth shattering. Then when you get the English translations the power of his message leaves you barely able to breathe. I just started watching his 2020 concert and am taking it in sections so as to really feel the impact. His message to us is spiritual.

Janet...first let me say that I find YOU to also be intoxicating, a living, breathing, beautiful woman with a deep, soulful attraction to music. I'm an old man, sang for my supper back in the 70's and 80's, made a decent living for about 28 years, sang over 560,000 songs before enduring 5 surgeries for polyps and that was the end of that. So I've heard a lot of people sing really well in my long life...Streisand, Celine, Whitney, Pavarotti, Adam Lambert and hundreds more who were or still are capable of amazing vocals. And then I heard this guy, Dimash.
It's Feb 2, 2020 and I have only been listening to him for about a week, which really amazes me 'cause he's been around for a while yet I had never heard of him. So I watched at least 50 videos of him, each time being more and more astounded with his vocal capabilities. It took a while to find you even though I was going through 'reaction' videos all day and night. And then, all of a sudden...there you were. A highly intelligent, drop-dead gorgeous woman, reacting to Dimash, not just with her ears but with her heart. Many of the other Vocal Coaches try to explain what it is they think they're hearing and they talk through the song. But in the end of almost every clip I have watched, they all say the same thing in different words...he may be the greatest vocalist any of us have ever heard. That's sayin' something right there, no? We are, all musicians and singers, in absolute AWE of what we are hearing! I don't know how long it will take before someone in the US hears him and gets him hooked up. That kind of talent is way beyond anything I've ever heard in my life and it needs to be heard by all those who appreciate good music. And your reaction to this song and one other (I forgot which one...doesn't matter) is so, so REAL. I literally 'felt' your emotions riding side by side with my own and that's because, not only does he have this incredible set of vocal cords, he also emotes and draws you in to his musical theatre. For me, that is the best part and I think you would agree. A six-octave range doesn't hurt either! Thank you for spending some time with us and bringing your love of music and Dimash to us. For the record, I would love to hear you sing. You look like you can sing but unlike many of the Vocal Coaches who like to show off their pipes (and that's only the women...men don't even TRY!!!) by pausing the clip so that they can show us how good THEY are, that irks me. I love watching their reactions, though. He certainly is something special. And so are you, Confidence Coach! Keep up the good work...

At the end, you just sat there, ruminating (right after you said "No freakin' way!) and I am able to do the same thing because when he finishes, there do not seem to be any words to describe what we all just heard. It's one of those "wtf" moments, at least for me. I have never heard any male in my life hit the notes he does. Worse, he makes it look so easy! Great reaction! This performance was just Dimash having fun, and firing up the audience. This is the only time Dimash sang Opera 2 in public. His performance was so good, Vitas (original artist) threatened to sue Dimash if he ever performed it again. If you want to grade Dimash on feeling, Adagio is an excellent choice for one of his early performances. His English isn't perfect, but his delivery is.
I’m glad to find a reaction to his stage presence. As much as I’m in awe of his range of voice, I also can’t stop watching the way he moves. His facial expressions the hand and body movements are so delicate and elegant that it moves with the song and that when we watch and listen to him he moves us is different place. Great reaction to Dimash from "I am a singer" 2017 episode 2. Dimash was new and still a little nervous. He was not well know so the more you see from him the better it will be. In 2017 his he had to learn English so that was sometimes not perfect. But like you said when performing a song perfect even with emotion in it who cares about that. Beautiful music is all we whant. In Episode 3 he sings "The show must go on" witch is very good and in Episode 4 he sings Äutumn strong" witch is legendary good.

Several Dimash songs have incredible deep and powerful stories that need to be hear to understand why Dimash chose to perform them. The backstory is then followed by The Singer performance. Highly recommended watching!

Thank you for your analysis!! If it's story telling you are looking for again, then "Autumn Strong" from Singer 2017 is probably the best song to watch from Dimash. It's about the real life story of a Japanese-born Chinese female singer and it's the first song Dimash learned in Mandarin. It's a beautiful melody and Dimash showcases amazing artistry. Be sure to react to Gloria Wu's version, where she is also giving the backstory in the video and has provided subtitles (search "Gloria Wu Dimash Autumn Strong" and it's the first to pop up).
"Daybreak" from Bastau is also an amazing storytelling song. Again, based on a real story (and quite sad).
In any case, I highly recommend "Ogni Pietra" from his Arnau concert. It's an anthemic operatic song, one of Dimash's best moments in my personal opinion. It's really really powerful, magestic and so vocally demanding!!! I don't think there is anybody right now who could sing the song the way Dimash does.

Totally agree with all 3 of those! I cried the first time I watched Autumn Strong, and that was without the subtitles - it was purely the way Dimash sang it, the emotion & storytelling in his voice, his gestures...and all that having only a week to learn it in a language he didn't know! Janet, in case you didn't know, he was invited onto The Singer as a wildcard, having won competitions back in Kazakhstan - he was 22 and came out as the 1st contestant on the 1st show & sang SOS (the vid you reviewed last time was a later one by 2 or 3 yrs) and just blew everyone away! Just for fun, watch the vid of it & you'll see the reactions :D He won that week's vote and came back next week & did this one & won the vote again (not surprisingly!). Overall at the end of the competition, he came 2nd and so the world domination began!!! I've been Dimashed for a year now and was gutted to find out I'd missed a concert in London by 2 months :( so am hoping so much he comes back...or at least gives us some crumbs by finally releasing a CD!! It won an annual award for 2019 & you can pick between any version except for at the European Olympic ceremony since they only briefly showed him singing.
