"and the drink stall and toilets to get something to drink"
Just gonna try and sneak that one past us, eh?
I’m so glad someone else noticed! 😅
+rads
i fucking did a spit take of my soda i swear to christ
I didn't realise he might mean something weird, I just passively assumed there is a drinking fountain at the toilet, like those EZH2O fountains.
(Relevant XKCD: 986.)
I paused the video to type that and saw your comment right below me.
Guest 3456: How is your Mountain Dew?
Guest 5312: It tastes like piss.
8:27 All the signs, in queue order:
"Spinecrusher 8000"
"This ride is dangerous"
"Seriously, you will be injured"
"No one survives this ride"
*"Do you have a bloody death wish?"*
"Those signs can’t stop me, because I can’t read!"
"This ride is too intense for me. I'm going for the ferris wheel."
I got way too invested in the Drowning Wheel. The way you're so committed to the drowning that you couldn't conceive of shutting it down or building an exit path; only mechanical failure could save your park rating. The irony that after the mechanic hopped the gap and consigned the wheel's inhabitants to their original fate, you deleted the path tile and plunged him toward the water THEN uncharacteristically plucked him from the air and safely back on to dry land. The satisfying symmetry of waiting for the Drowning Wheel to break down once again, the success or failure of the whole scenario quite literally revolving around it. _Fortune, good night. Smile once more. Turn thy wheel._ It's beautiful and deeply thought-provoking.
The reason he picked the mechanic from the water is because workers cannot leave so the only two ways out is either death or getting fired. So Marcel was preventing him from the sweet release of death
I like to imagine the guests like that:
"Wait, there is no..."
Attendant: * kick *
It's like it's just an inevitable fact of life. You can't fight the drowning wheel, you must let nature take its course
@ It is quite literally the Circle of Life.
But what is worst? Being stuck on a broken down ferris wheel or standing in line for all eternity? On the ferris wheel at least you can sit ...
Love that you built a ride that purposely drowns people, acknowledges it is killing the park rating, instead of just closing it instead says "well hope it breaks down with enough time life for the rating to recover" ahhh never change Marcel
It’s just a fact of life. Nothing you can do about it.
🎶In the year 1 million and a half
When mankind is enslaved by giraffe
Man will pay for all his misdeeds
When the treetops are stripped of their leaves...🎶
5:30 guest drowning from Ferris wheel 5:40 reincarnated as duck
So that's where ducks come from.
The pool of eternal torment.
-eternal mowing
-the drowning wheel
-the boat of attrition
-free parking (for every odd numbered hour)
The boat hire getting stuck ist classic Marcel Vos.
"We just pretend we are doing a good thing to offset all the terrible things that we are going to do later."
Marcel never disappoints us.
Your content is great Marcel! Great to see you back. Even without any challenges it's interesting to see your approach to these scenarios.
I love the just-not-quite-unhinged undertone you have in this episode so much
What a kind guy giving them swimming lessons on deep water
Wow, the maze was so difficult that guests couldn't even find their way to the entrance.
2:10 A favourite trick for me too. You can also use water splashes as brakes before the station to avoid crashes when the normal brakes fail.
why would you want to prevent crashes tho?
@randomviewer3494 I was young and naive.

This isn't Marcel plays RCT. This is Marcel does Stand Up Comedy, and your dry delivery and perfect timing work amazingly!
I come for the Roller-coaster Tycoon content, and stay for the esoteric Futurama references ❤
1:04 - “The drink stall and toilets to get something to drink” 🤨. He’s got people slurping up the excess urinal water to save money 💀
Tasty 🤤
Had to rewind
I mean, urine IS sanitary.
--Technically.
Came here to say this. I had to clean my phone screen, spat my coffee all over it when he said that!
Only Marcel would decide that the solution to the park rating drain caused by his Ferris Wheel is to just *_hope and pray_* that the Ferris Wheel breaks down.
9:26 "Only the rich elite that spawn with 95 euros will be able to keep their heads dry"
And the only way the middle class that spawn with 85 can stay dry is by sacrificing basic luxuries, like food and drink.
This was always one of my favourite park locations. The lake in the middle is so evocative and really encourages some creative design with such a big constraint.
15:56 As of writing this, the endcard leads to the hybrid coaster ride overview instead of the Marcel Plays episode. Lovecthe content, been watching for years, and have enjoyed seeing you put more personality and bits into your videos. Always a good watch.
One thing to note is that White Water Park was the first park in RCT1 to feautre ALL rollercoasters, including the first appearance of the Vertical Drop Rollercoaster. For that reason, White Water Park has always been special to me.
This is your best video yet, you made your own scenario. You build a quick park and it’s just a lot of fun. We need more content like this.
"We'll just pretend that we're doing a good thing to offset all the terrible things that I'm going to do later."
Marcel is a politician confirmed
I love this series, it's always chaos
These are my favorites. I never get tired of watching Marcel experiment with sifferent types of Woodys, the big bulky ones or the smaller ones
Bro the moment you build that haunted house on top of that hill with some scary trees I was like fk tomorrow I'm installing this game again after years
It's refreshing to see you do actual gameplay besides all the ride overview videos!
The series is back after 10 months and what does Marcel do? Drown more guests.
Figures.
I want Marcel to do a challenge run where he tries to see what is the maximum rate of drowning guests you can have while still completing a scenario.
A park value can do
I love building the water splash into lakes, been doing that since forever. One of the easiest best looking elements in the game
The way this park got more and more devilish is SO Marcel. That's what I'm here for!
Worshipping the giraffe overloads like it's the year million and a half! Brilliant!
12:52 the Cacti and Pharoah Joe Biden bit absolutely got me! 😂
Haha, it looks like Action Park AKA Marcel
7:00 I love that you made an automatic guess drowner that's the perfect speed for keeping your park rating above 0. Now I want to see a beatable scenario that needs a park rating but has a ride that has an exit that automatically drowns guests, can't be removed, can't break down, and has its entrance next to the Park entrance so you can't make guests avoid it.
Also, you have amazing problem solving skills.
"As long as this ride keeps operating the park rating will stay this low,"
You could increase the number of rotations?
"so If we want to beat this scenario, we better hope it breaks down at some point."
Or you could hope the problem fixes itself by needing fixing... That's so much better! :D
Edit: And the attempted trolling... XD
3 is the maximum number of rotations so I couldn't increase that. I could of course just remove it or build an exit path but that's no fun.
Love the futurama giraffe reference, Marcel is definitely a man of culture
Glad someone else caught it, I would've made this comment otherwise
Man, I honestly wish I could decorate as well as you can. Your parks always look to nice and pretty!!! Love the content, man!
I love a well-placed Futurama reference.
Glad to see this was more than just a drowning video. I enjoy the lets plays like this. I just beat this scenario on Classic the other day for the first time in decades and totally smashed the goal with loads of cash in the bank, no loan by halfway through (although I know it’s not a big deal to not pay it off in the game - I still like playin the loan off), and so many coasters it was a hideous mess. That path you connected at the start was a good idea on this one since guests can get so easily crowded and lost. Also noticed you saved the mechanic who fixed the death water wheel while attempting to give your lawn mower a pedestal. Sometimes I wish I could micro manage the wages of my staff and give raises to well performing or long time handymen, lower the wages of others, etc. Imagine a bad employee that would randomly queue for rides themselves, break benches and lamps, go in the bathroom for hours on their phone, smoke and drink behind the rides, or sneak onto the property just beyond the parks ownership to screw off before coming back. Would be funny and cool to have more staff options. Also would love to see more of a purpose for the security guards. Maybe they could keep these ruthless and lazy handymen and maintenance workers in check also instead of solely monitoring for angry vandal guests.
You can always fire the handyman right before payday if they’re not earning their salary. Now if you imagine you rehire the same one as you let off. That’s up to you. Maybe fire a mechanic and rehire as a security guard.
Oh my god, it's the guy from the RTV Drenthe interview! And he's actually playing RCT! :o
HE WAS ON RTV DRENTHE?!
@@Darkdayzz Yes, he was!
i always love how you decorate these parks! love the terraced gardens. stealing that for the next time i play this
Marcel may drown hundreds of guests without remorse, but he'll be damned if he lets even one of his staff drown. That's the kind of boss you want to see! Respect.
Let the bodies hit the FLOOOOOR!
Oh, "drowning WHEEL"?... my bad...
Oh boy, a new year and a new Marcel plays RCT
Bathrooms contain both food and drink 😉
Lol
Do you prefer to use a fork or your hands?
@Kyonkicchi there's no wrong answer here. Plenty of napkins around if you make a mess
You didn’t need to type this you know
What the hell did you just make me read with my own two eyes
"We'll just pretend we're doing a good thing to offset all the terrible things that I'm going to do later"
thats one Hell of an obscure Futurama reference
“The drink stall and toilets, for something to drink”
Not sure if that was an unintentional mis-speak, or peak humour, but regardless, I’m here for it 🤣
YAY! These Marcel plays RCT videos are a lot of fun IMO and I was sad that there hadn’t been one in so long!
We are finally back! I would literally watch you play every scenario in the game so I hope this series continues.
Holy crap this series is back? Man, I found this game again after all these years and loved watching through those playthrough videos and sad to see it stopped, and funnily enough I've been playing through the scenarios again and was actually up to this level again. I don't know why but I'm obsessed with this game right, and it's cool to see other people are still too!
There's a famous defunct water park in my hometown that was called White Water University. It had its heyday in the 80s but quickly fell into disrepair, closing in 2005. I remember even by the late 90s, it was nasty and decrepit. It remained closed for 13 years before it was finally demolished. The site is now a Burger King and a car wash.
1:47 Marcel with all the puns and woodies.. 😂
Absolutely amazing as always by the way. Thanks for blessing us with this series and your incredible talents. We love you Marcel ❤️
Build a path after the Ferris wheel to stop guests from drowning? Nah, I'll just hope it breaks down.
I learned about you because TH-cam felt like I should watch the RTV Drenthe docu, and now I'm binging all your videos. And I haven't been PC gaming for years (or maybe decades).
so happy to see an episode when it comes out. great fun, as always, both the regular park design and the sadistic murder parts! =D
The drowning wheel, their only hope is that it breaks down. (Not delete it to save pixelated lives.) You sir are SAVAGE
I got the Futurama reference. Nice one.
Glad this series is back. I always look forward to these!
"The drinks stall and the toilets to get a drink!" Good joke right there!
A drowning wheel, a mario kart track, a coaster that let's you experience the g forces of a black hole... truly the place to be
Just found and finished all the current episodes - Marcel drops new video the following day. Thank you! 🥺
Park inspector: “No one has drowned in your park recently, so here’s your award!”
"Marcel is being cruel to his guests!"
Yes, and the drowning wheel is wet.
I really needed this today, thank you for making me smile.
I waited 10 months for this. Would love to see more RCT plays.
That Futurama reference though. Deep cuts.
Waarom lig ik hiernaar te kijken terwijl ik al lang moet pitten? Deze video’s zijn top trouwens. Goeie content.
Your design choices are always so amazing! Welcome back!
The Drowning Wheel looks too fatal for me.
This is my favorite let's play video of all time.
I've been to Whitewater Park (in Marietta GA, acquired by the Six Flags chain many years ago) and I don't remember a Drowning Wheel of Death. I DID jam my thumb when I fell out of my tube on the Gulf Screamer slide, so there's that. :)
Good watch 😊
Always enjoy the scenery you build!!
I really love this series, Marcel! Please keep doing doing it :D
Dropped everything I was doing to watch the next instalment. Thank you Marcel 😊
1:45 THATS WHAT SHE SAID
"The drinks at the Toilet was a really good value!"
that mechanic wasnt just a mechanice cutting grass. he was the LAWNMOWER MAN!
Giraffe Hill must pay for all its misdeeds, when the tree tops are stripped of their leaves!
Wait, broken wheel. As in the medieval form of torture the “breaking wheel”?
That timelapse function is VERY cool.
Gaaf interview bij RTV. Keep it up!
Falling to my death after riding ferris wheel 1 looks too intense for me
11:43 Aww, he saved the mechanic... NinjaGrumpy
I really enjoy this video with good tips and funny jokes.
There's... there's a replay feature? How did I not know?! I am going to have to record evertyhing now.
God, imagine a Ferris Wheel that can go underwater, so that the guests on it are constantly getting dunked, but never fully drowning, like a medieval torture water wheel…
I've been waiting so long for this! ♥I love this series!
1:46 like all your viewers, i can say that i enjoyed seeing your Woodie.
Nice save on that handy man!
Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor - drowning pool.
We will pay for all our misdeeds when the treetops are stripped of their leaves!
8:50 looks like you were right about those canoes.
A mine train... that almost never touches the ground. Maybe it's an Air Mine?
This must be that drowning pool I've heard so much about
It was cool to see you on TV Marcel!
1:09 as an Aussie, that's taking the piss too far. Those customers are gonna be pissed.
+1 for lawn moving slave :) great video
Marcel paying his dues for the giraffe overlords so he can ride the Universe Coaster in peace.
