My husband is a contractor was certified to remove lead and asbestos, you have to wear full body covering including gloves and foot coverings with negative pressure hepa filtration. The thought now days about asbestos,is to seal and contain not remove. Now that he's over 60, he didn't renew his asbestos license. It's hot nasty work. If you had an inspection done before you bought, this should fall on the inspector.

I was wondering where he is thinking he can dispose of what he's taking out of his house. Because it has to be put in special bags and sealed and taken to a special facility. Please don't pile it up on your property. That would make a gaz waste site and dangerous for your whole family. Good job putting the respirator on and safely glasses. Asbestos is ground up glass. It can literally eat your lungs and stomach, lots of damage. My husband had lung issues after we tore out the old insulation and asbestos siding like your house. Take it serious. You have done so much in a short time. I’m as proud of you as if you were my son. Jake, to remove the asbestos you will need a serious industrial vent to vent the indoor air outside. Even though you may wear a mask you also need the throw away white Hazmat suit plus the asbestos will be floating around in the air and you can't see it. I am worried about you not doing that safely for the family. It is truly something you cannot skimp on. You should have showered before going back in your family home. Please be more careful. This is why they have all the strict laws about asbestos removal.

Also just a few more things that can cause lung cancer is: fumes from PVC glue & cleaner, diesel fuel, particle dust from cutting PVC, concrete pipe sorry can't remember the rest. I work n construction (pipe laying) 4 my Daddy didn't realize all these other environmental things could also cause lung cancer until I went 2 a Pulmonary Dr & had 2 answer questions 2 what i had exposed my lung to. I'm sure u can look up the environmental things online. Jake, I just want u 2 stay healthy as long as u can. We didn't know about all these things when I was n my 20s & 30s. My Daddy past at 56 yrs old from Primary Breast Cancer, secondary Lung Cancer & he did not smoke.

JAKE I would suggest wearing one of those paper white suits while dealing with those tiles too. When you sweat, it can get in your poors. I seen workers taking that tile on the outside of a house (siding) and they were in those paper suits with the masks and safety glasses. That stuff is dangerous.
Unfortunately, though you are not wearing a hazmat suit. Wives of men who worked with asbestos contracted asbestosis just from washing their clothes. Look at the state of your clothes after doing all this filthy work and you’re going to go home and have honey wash them in the family washing machine with asbestos fibres in those clothes, floating around the house in the laundry and her breathing them in. you needed to have professionals come in and do professional asbestos remediation, but you chose not to do that. So the very least you needed to do was wear a hazmat suit to cover your clothes so that you didn’t track back asbestos to your home in your clothing. Your whole attitude to the asbestos has been flippant at the very least, and you berated your followers who expressed concern for you and your family and I haven’t been able to watch any of your videos since that video, but the title of this one gave me hope that you had taken precautions and you have to a certain degree, but really only to the minimum requirement of having a respirator and safety glasses. I’m still disappointed with you for not seeing the bigger picture. ❤❤❤🙌🏻
We had asbestos in our basement and our insurance paid for it to be removed by an asbestos remediation contractors. They had plastic put up on the top of our stairs and they wore the hazmat suits. Every tile came up, it is nothing to mess around with.

I agree with you totally. I lost 8 family members to asbestos exposure. Even two kids in the family died due to the mom shaking out the work clothes before washing them. Jake is now a dead man waliking, and anyone living in that doomed house will be as well. So very sad.

Congratulations to you and lyssa y’all are the cutest couple ever 😊 please remember asbestos is also small particles in the air you can’t see so your clothes hair etc can carry those particles home which you don’t want so get yourself a disposable hazmat suit(s) cover up good and get you some good air ventilation and take extra precautions to keep that stuff as contained as possible like using a vacuum with a hepa filter and vacuum up the mess instead of sweeping. You have really concentrated on getting Moo’s weight increased and he is looking so much better & doing really well ❤️ Given his age, no signs of others in the herd experiencing significant weight loss & it being a harsh winter do you think there is a possibility moo may be experiencing winter cow syndrome? Sorry if it’s been mentioned before. If It is, I would consider pre planning for next winter & try fattening him up at the end of this summer beginning of fall, even if it means separating him for a few weeks. And I know he is stubborn & stays outside but keeping him dry inside a barn during the wet of winter will help him keep weight on as he won’t be using up as much energy to keep warm. I know he has already broken the record for biggest Holstein but we’d all love that guy to break the record for oldest too ❤ pretty sure that’s almost 50yrs… 😮😊
You should also wear a hazmat suit. Don't take your clothes into your home where your family is...launder them alone right way. And shower before hugging them as you and they can breathe that dust in.
I’m out in the country and where the lateral lines run like 75 feet in 3 different places away from all water resources, the septic will be placed closet to your house. I have rivets in my old yard where lines are. And the grass doesn’t get very good grass in that rectangle where the septic is.
Jake, those yard and garage dustpans on Amazon works great, they are at least two times the size if not bigger than a regular dustpan and they’re heavy duty!

Jake, you should be wearing a disposable jump suit and gloves. The fine particles of asbestos become airborne and attach to your clothes, skin and hair which spreads that horrible stuff every time you make movement or the wind blows. I really think you should hire professionals to remove it all to make your home safe forever. 😊

Your whole attitude to the asbestos has been flippant at the very least, and you berated your followers who expressed concern for you and your family and I haven’t been able to watch any of your videos since that video, but the title of this one gave me hope that you had taken precautions and you have to a certain degree, but really only to the minimum requirement of having a respirator and safety glasses. I’m still disappointed with you for not seeing the bigger picture. ❤❤❤🙌🏻
We had asbestos in our basement and our insurance paid for it to be removed by an asbestos remediation contractors. They had plastic put up on the top of our stairs and they wore the hazmat suits. Every tile came up, it is nothing to mess around with.

I agree with you totally. I lost 8 family members to asbestos exposure. Even two kids in the family died due to the mom shaking out the work clothes before washing them. Jake is now a dead man waliking, and anyone living in that doomed house will be as well. So very sad.

Congratulations to you and lyssa y’all are the cutest couple ever 😊 please remember asbestos is also small particles in the air you can’t see so your clothes hair etc can carry those particles home which you don’t want so get yourself a disposable hazmat suit(s) cover up good and get you some good air ventilation and take extra precautions to keep that stuff as contained as possible like using a vacuum with a hepa filter and vacuum up the mess instead of sweeping. Anyhow hope that helps 😊

Given his age, no signs of others in the herd experiencing significant weight loss & it being a harsh winter do you think there is a possibility moo may be experiencing winter cow syndrome? Sorry if it’s been mentioned before. If It is, I would consider pre planning for next winter & try fattening him up at the end of this summer beginning of fall, even if it means separating him for a few weeks. And I know he is stubborn & stays outside but keeping him dry inside a barn during the wet of winter will help him keep weight on as he won’t be using up as much energy to keep warm.
I know he has already broken the record for biggest Holstein but we’d all love that guy to break the record for oldest too ❤ pretty sure that’s almost 50yrs… 😮😊
You should also wear a hazmat suit. Don't take your clothes into your home where your family is...launder them alone right way. And shower before hugging them as you and they can breathe that dust in.
I remember the guys who took out my popcorn ceilings not only wore those masks but also wore hazmat suits.
Hubby was a civil engineer, they used a LiDAR to find items under ground such as pipes, septic tanks etc… just a thought, you could rent one .
I’m out in the country and where the lateral lines run like 75 feet in 3 different places away from all water resources, the septic will be placed closet to your house. I have rivets in my old yard where lines are. And the grass doesn’t get very good grass in that rectangle where the septic is.
Get down low to the ground you might see them.
Jake, those yard and garage dustpans on Amazon works great, they are at least two times the size if not bigger than a regular dustpan and they’re heavy duty!

Jake, you should be wearing a disposable jump suit and gloves. The fine particles of asbestos become airborne and attach to your clothes, skin and hair which spreads that horrible stuff every time you make movement or the wind blows. I really think you should hire professionals to remove it all to make your home safe forever. 😊
