Thank you JP for providing classic entertainment during these depressing times. Not only the places you visit but your commentary and sarcasm makes them all must watch. Great job!
Hi guys! I really enjoyed this video! Especially finding that Gator! I’m glad you did the right thing and reported it! Thank You for that😁👍🏻 I’ll be watching your videos!
In all my years of enjoying exploration videos, this is a _FIRST!_ I think you're right---and I agree with others who say they'd like a followup video to find out what the "Deere" was doing there. Stay safe, everyone.
@@davidamoritz never let them convince you of that I thought the same thing I found a four wheeler in the woods several years ago chose to do the right thing and call the sheriff's department that's what they told me so after the time was up I called back to see if I could come get it and they told me if I wanted it I would have to go to the auction and buy it
@@chadnoles5671 Well different departments probably have different rules to follow I would guess. I wouldn't have a problem my dads a Captain in the Sheriffs office hehe
The ring faucet was also used in older schools My ancient grade school (I graduated in 1964) had them. It still stands, but it's owned by another group now.
Just saw this video - 3 years old.. LOL. I build these types of structures, known as "Metal Buildings" or some say "Butler" Bldg. There are 100's of manufactures of these today. Something strange going on - never saw a roof rot away like that. Structural primary looked healthy still, primer looked in good health. Something caused that roof to rot out prematurely. Acid, bad steel coil, fire ? I've seen them last over 60 years. They could have put a coating on it - which in turn destroyed the panel and caused it to rot thru - my guess. Wasn't weather because it has a decent pitch on it. Thanks - enjoyed your work once again. Ever find out about that Gator ?
I forgot to mention that another thing I really like and respect about this video is, there isn't any unnecessary vulgarity or rebel-rousing. Is this place in PA?
Totally agree. Recently started to watch a video exploring the Grossingers resort in the Catskills which I think I saw you covered... ...had to turn off after only a minute due to the videographer's profanity and bad demeanor. Your videos are not only amazing and educational but tastefully done. Kudos to you and continue the great videos! Update on the John Deere find- please!
What a fab video, I just love your videos, your so respectful of the places and pick up on all the good stuff, your quiet knowledged about all your video's, omg I cannot believe you got that John Deere going, that was awesome lol well done guys fantastic as always.
Did you file a found property form with the local law enforcement authority? If not, you might do so in case no one claims it or you can contacted the owner and have them sign off ownership and you can retrieve it and get it up and running again, what a way to explore.
Those ATVs are produced by the only John Deere division that apparently hasn't had layoffs but these little Gators are the only thing they produce at their Horicon WI plant. They are located on the Milwaukee Road spur line that branched off from just behind the depot and crossed the Main Street then ran along the side of the street for about four blocks through people's yards and the parking lot of a Hardee's. It then re-crossed the Main Street and went over a wooden trestle and into the plant. Sadly the line is severed and very few traces remain and that was a shame as the Wisconsin and Southern Shortline could have used a customer but apparently never shipped a load on them
Great video JP! That was a big surprise! I have another theory, possibly the driver was threw off and hurt and hasn't recovered enough to come back and get it. Would be great to know what really happened! Thanks for sharing!
The water valve out side the building is a Post Indicator Valve (PIV). It controls the fire suppression system for the building. The little window on it would say “open” or “closed” depending on the valve position. It was used as an indicator to the fire department for a quick reference, to see if the fire system had water.
18:38 is part of a fire alarm/fire supression system called a P.i.V. acronym for Post indicator Valve. Its purpose is a means to shut off water in part of a sprinkler system but also gives a visual to the state of the valve open or closed. Often they also have an electrical switch to indicate a trouble condition on a fire alarm system indicating the valve position for example indicate "tampering" as if in an unauthorized closing of that valve.
I watched the video all the way, I have a big suggestion for you on the John Deer, call the police with a non emergency call and have them come check out the vehicle. Good chance they can get it back to the owner.
Crazy find...i agree as nice s a free side by side would be, telling the authorities was definitely the right call. You never now what trouble could follow with taking it, or what it may have been involved in. Thanks for another great video, and for showing good moral decision making...nothing free is truly free...p.s. just a quick observation you and RJ look like brothers...lol...no offense!
Great video 👍 JP you make things worth while in this trying times. Great find guys nice job getting the JD gator vehicle started WOW just amazing enjoy your day take care
I love watching your video. I feel that I I’m with you exploring. I love to explore abandoned building, home, industrial or any structures except powerhouses. Thankful for the excursion. See you on the next!
I think I know where this is. I used to run on the trail that goes past it almost every week before I moved out of the town where it's located. I always wondered what it looked like on the inside. Very cool!
Last night I was watching your Abandoned Vintage funeral home video. At one point, when you were panning across a closet I spotted a long white wedding dress in a bag. You could plainly tell was a wedding gown because you could see the bottom of it. I got all excited and then you zoomed in On something right next to it but panned right over the wedding gown without making mention. Tonight I'm watching your abandoned building video and off in the woods I think Oh, there's a black tractor of some kind. Nothing to see there but you guys are like two little boys at Christmas! Difference between males and females I suppose. Maybe we need a ladies version of urban explorers lol
With limited time and trying to focus on producing a good video, I dont get to see everything. I'm usually looking at items through the camera so things often get overlooked. I definitely encourage females to get out and explore.
Why don't you guys explore the abandoned town of Elsewhere, Ky? Find out what happened to this former town. I understand most of the buildings are still furnished, like the residents left in a hurry. Thanks a bunch if you do!
We had a round sink/ wash basin like that at Kitty Hawk Elementary in the 1970s in the student bathrooms. Our school was K - 8th grade and we only had 2 restrooms. Life was great before so many moved in and ruined our way of life. Not all progress is good
I agree we had those at Braxton Craven Elementary in a small neighborhood in Greensboro in the 1960s. I know what you mean about too many people that happened to Greensboro too after the early 60s it was never the same. Way too many people. We moved on to Kernersville same thing happened to it. Moved on to East Bend. Not gonna happen here. Population 619 countin the mayors dog. Gonna stay small here. But it doesn't matter now I'm a Beatles song now and not bothered by too many people. ( By the way the Beatles song is When I'm 64 incase you couldn't figure it out on your own LOL)
What a fun video, you two always make me laugh!!! Awesome find!!, maybe you can get the rest of the story when you return-find another guard....thanks for sharing!! 💖💙😂💙😂💖
Neat video very interesting. With it being painted and abandoned there I'd lean towards theft. There is probably a good chance it may have been reported stolen and may or not be covered by ins. So anything the owner could get would be better than nothing.
Holy cow what a great find. I hope someone comes and gets it and does something with it. That is too good to pass up. Let us know if you find out more info on that John Deere. You guys are funny.
This comment may not relate to video but have you considered doing any exploring of abandon plantations? I've heard of one in louisiana but didn't know if you would travel that far. Would there be any in pennsylvania? Would love to see a video about that!
Those sink thing with 360 shower spray I'd seen in my local middle school. Along with pull chain flushing mechanisms.. the water tank was idk 15 foot above head.. and a chain came down... urinals were the same way.... old skool stuff... the school is ....or was in operation... but a nationwide school closing is to come in soon due to pandemic... it's the classroom doors in this place were still skeleton key locks....when I was a kid. This place gave me creeps @ night.... after football practice I explored... thank heavens the doors didnt lock inside
I used to deliver John Deere gators. They have a vin # but not sure if you would have been able to see it. They are either on the frame in back near the hitch if equipped with one. The other location is usually right side frame rail below the engine and right above the axle. The way that was sitting and being painted black, I highly doubt you would see it. If it was stolen, I'm sure they knocked of the vin tag If they went through the trouble of painting it. Anyway, just in case you run across more of them randomly crashed in the woods lol.
This is very valuable info! I'm just a sub, but thank you for taking the time to explain to them. People like you make me smile, because you have a good heart!
Loved your videos, you cheer me up with your antics. The area where you live looks beautiful this time of year, and you are still wearing T-shirt’s ?? The recount of the accident was just wonderful, please don’t ever grow up, you two are perfect as you are. Thank you 😊
Thank you JP for providing classic entertainment during these depressing times. Not only the places you visit but your commentary and sarcasm makes them all must watch. Great job!
Appreciate the kind words. Thanks!
Hi guys! I really enjoyed this video! Especially finding that Gator! I’m glad you did the right thing and reported it! Thank You for that😁👍🏻 I’ll be watching your videos!
Oh and for them culverts, maybe take a big magnet, and see what you can find under the water. I use a 600lb magnet and I love it!
In all my years of enjoying exploration videos, this is a _FIRST!_ I think you're right---and I agree with others who say they'd like a followup video to find out what the "Deere" was doing there. Stay safe, everyone.
Please do an update video about the John Deere. What was found out, etc. Please!
Yeah id like to know too
Rj is gonna check to see if its still there. He will probably do an update.
I think it was stolen, I know from buying old dirt bikes, if it's painted black more then likely stolen. Plus the ignition was tampered with.
I think you're right
Doing the right thing, those aren't cheap. The guy was probably sickened by it being stolen.
Maybe he'll get it back
Yeah it should have some id tag somewhere call PD if its not retrieved by the owner the PD has to give it to you with papers.
stole it from Exploring Alabama's father two years ago
@@davidamoritz never let them convince you of that I thought the same thing I found a four wheeler in the woods several years ago chose to do the right thing and call the sheriff's department that's what they told me so after the time was up I called back to see if I could come get it and they told me if I wanted it I would have to go to the auction and buy it

The valve is a water valve. It is called a post indicator valve. Used to turn off building water supply or water supply for sprinkler systems
As a crafter, those scrabble tiles would be a great find!
Thousands of pieces just laying there
@@JPVideos81 Be careful. Some old tile like that was made from asbestos ☠
HAHAHAHA! I said the same thing! 🤣 "Oh crap, any scrapbooker, card maker would be getting the shovel and semi right bout now! HUNIIII! "

We came back a couple months later (follow up video) and it was gone.
Awesome video guys!! Loved the surprise!!
I forgot to mention that another thing I really like and respect about this video is, there isn't any unnecessary vulgarity or rebel-rousing.
Is this place in PA?
I strive to make family friendly content. Yes, Pennsylvania

Its sad to know this was another loss of jobs. Really, really sad. But a well done video nonetheless! Thanx guys!!!

I like the action-packed reenacment of the accident scene! 😅 I think you nailed it. Thanks!
Lol
DAMN YOU LOOK LIME BRUCE WILLIS PROFILE WITH THE SHADES ON!!!
You should always wear boots when you go explore, preferably steel toed.
and steel sole inserts
Steeltoedbooths and a decent breathing mask. All that broken insulation makes me cringe as a technician.
I like 6 wheel it's was a cool find ❤🎉
What you found that looks like a hydrant, is a valve for the fire sprinkler system in the building
Great adventure-I enjoyed the fall colors 😊
Another awesome video. Thanks JP
I hope you reported the Lantern Flies!!!!
Love a good mystery!
The red topped valve is a “post indicator valve” used to isolate sections of an underground firewater line.
Great video JP! That was a big surprise! I have another theory, possibly the driver was threw off and hurt and hasn't recovered enough to come back and get it. Would be great to know what really happened! Thanks for sharing!
Google maps can be an amazing thing. I like looking at places I've been or lived before.
WOW WHAT A NICE FIND

I bet this place was in use back when they use to use glass insulators on phone lines... You know the ones look like bells

It works!! Go for a spin. Awesome find J. P.
Enjoyed the adventure, nice to see people out enjoying themselves, as we in England have started a ' soft lockdown'
Wow! The John Deere engine turned over! Great find!
The ATV... I'd let the police know where it was. I'm sure the owner would want it back.
Awesome video JP!
Thanks!

Actually the john deere gator is actually 4 wheel drive the wheels don't have anything going to them to make them drive
We found a Ford Bronco on the farm In a wooded area, It had been stolen

Wow it started!! That was crazy cool. Loved the video, montage, bloopers & sound effects!! Lots of fun. Looking good in the driver's seat. 🙂🥰

great video. i didn't expect the John Deere to start up either. awesome!!
unbelievable what a find ellent video 🤗
How cool was that to find. Did you ever hear what happened to the vehicle? Great video nice job...thank you.
Rj is gonna check back in a few weeks to see if its still there
Great video ya'll 👍👍❤❤
I will say i bet someone took it
So very sad. Looks like a month and a good crew could make this into a very nice apartment for homeless. This is heartbreaking.
I was thinking the same thing.
AGREE!
Great explore! What a surprise the ATV still runs!!
Nice Atmospheric Mood music with an excellent presentation.

Wow!Cool ya'll Jay and R.J....👍❤🇺🇸
Great video 😊💕
Thank you
Whats that noise at 16:23 ? It sounds like a child saying "what are those"
I heard someone say “Robert” just as you mentioned the scrabble tiles. I think it was the same sound you heard.
The red standpipe you found (red) is the shut off for the pre-plumbed automatic fire sprinkler system.
