    Good work mate, at 1:11 your pulling your guard when trowing the hooks, try not to. Keep up the good work

    I like how your not doing traditional bag work but your actually moving, keeping hand up, realistic strikes, staying aware on defense, not reckless throwing

      I try and take the opportunity to throw and defend things that worked and didn’t work in sparring. Like that jab, slide body hook head hook. I was lunging in sparring trying to land it.
      Also thank you for noticing that man.

    Work on distance from the beginning. Touch the bag with an outstretched glove. Move a half step back. Step punch. Return. Step 1-2, return. Distance is key

    Pretty good. You're working speed and accuracy quite well. Maybe add in a bit of volume practice, and maybe work a little on moving around the bag more. Most sparring partners don't like being circled around, and so you'll want to train it by yourself, so that when it comes time, you don't get shut down during sparring sessions

    Good form. Start working in a couple more pendulum steps to get around the bag, and work that body-head with your lead hook. When you cover up inside the pocket, circle and keep those hands up.
    Overall great work, just a couple of extra pieces.

    Surprised really, I cant really see any major faults. The only things I see that may need improving are just the standard stuff of keeping your hands up when you throw and bringing them right back with a sense of urgency. Also maybe just turning into your punches a bit more with the hips. Hard to get a great sense of your footwork but it seems fine. Punches are being snapped well enough and your not pushing the bag. This is bag work but for what its worth seems great. Id guess you were working mainly on good technique which is definitely a good thing and big plus. All in all good, if you are open to suggestions maybe try to now work on throwing with a bit more speed and shadowboxing some core combos to build up some fluidity and muscle memory. You seem to be throwing in a very "robotic" way if that makes sense? Its like your combos are like 1.2.3. instead of 123. Also try and work on extending out some longer combos like a 5 punch combo. If you are able have someone or a coach work with you on the pads to develop that.

    • @BigNick504
      @BigNick504  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do have some hip mobility issues, just due to flexibility. I train with my coach 3-4 days a week, pad work, sparring, technique sparring, supervised bag work stuff like that. I will try and remember to be less robotic and let it flow, I just get a little “too loose” sometimes if that makes sense.
      Seriously though thank you for the input.

    Pretty good , @2:50 see how your throwing your right body shot …it’s coming from outside of the right leg, you want to shift your body position to the other side of the bag and get behind the right leg and dig into the bag like the left hand you do your predominantly doing better with the left learn to shift your weight where your right foot is more alighted with the left foot when throwing power body shots with the right hand your to far away from the bag your taking power and delivery off .
    Drive with the shoulders and lats get behind the punch your throwing it like a baseball slider from the outside which will stop you from getting fully behind that punch ,best way to train fir that is just stand directly in front of the bag and slowly teach your body to step to the right side and have the right foot slightly in front of the left and just throw hooks predominantly on that right side standing square to the bag if you can get this down you’ll have better balance and confidence hitting from right to left sides and shifting position,this is particularly important fir any peekaboo style .

      Thank you for the detailed response. I will try some drills this week to try and combat my bad footwork. I’ve always had bad feet, but I am working on it. I am right hand dominant but ambidextrous if that makes sense. I’ve only been at this a year and some change. But I will definitely take some time to work some drills with the bag and balance drills overall. Thanks again.

      @@BigNick504 You don’t have bad footwork your footwork isn’t really important right now it’s right positions bc you want to be in the right spot to throw and land shots , footwork is the easy part your feet placement is good just needs to be polished , if you fight let me know where I’ll go if I can I’m in the NY area ,I’m fighting myself soon in a few months I’ve been boxing ,martial arts ,mma stuff on and off since 1993 I had my first fight at 24 with no training in a toughman contest so I’m excited for you .
