love your taste in cars man, just browsed through a bunch of your videos. i've had my sole bimmer, my 135i, for about two years now and i've slowly been building up a small tool collection to work on my car myself. what do you feel like are the most essential tools you have? asking because i saw you have a quickjack which is $$ but i hear it's good. so far i have a basic jack, impact driver with a set of sae and metric sockets and bits and i'm thinking about that torque wrench you linked in one video. only been buying things as needed but always thinking about what tools i'll need next for future wrenching
Check out my video on my QuickJacks they’re a great investment! My electric ratchet yes, a small impact gun and every size socket and ratchet wrenches as well. You’ll always accumulate over time as you need it.
Over a year ago, I purchased my brand new fully-loaded 540i xDrive M-Sport and since working from home nowadays, my vehicle still has under 600 miles. Recently, I changed my exhaust system w/ aftermarket Remus cat-back system, upgraded a wider 20” forged wheels/tires package, and installed front splitter/rear deck spoiler/diffuser. In the process of getting MSS sport (adjustable) spring kit as I am interested in a firmer suspension while maintaining OEM ride height!!
Nice! Yea these suspensions are not cheap to upgrade. I’d like to get 19s I just can’t find anything used. Might have to get new wheels.
I have the MSS sport adjustable suspension on my 2018 540 M Sport and love it!

Thanks for the great review! Just got one "for my wife" also; she didn't know or care that it had the V6, just wanted a white/tan BMW. Win/win i'd say. First purchase will be the CAI for sure; thanks for the link, K&N (my usual go-to) doesn't make them for this model. Probably will leave it stock otherwise, except a low key tint in the back to keep the sun heat down for the kiddos.
I’m right with you! It’s a great car. I will put a tune in this not yet though. I love the b58 engine. One of the best i6 ever made!

Nice video! Have the same car and just a heads up. You need the full digital cluster (6WB) to get the Alpina gauges. You can get it retrofitted and coded.

Do you have videos on changing spark plugs in 2019 540i? I have the spark plugs now need a little direction.
I don’t but if you search for B-58 spark plug replacement, you might find something similar. I’m pretty sure they require a thin 14 mm socket that is a special order item to do the job.
Did yours come with the power tailgate option to close the trunk?
It did not. This isn’t a loaded up car, it had all the options I cared about though. That would have been nice though.
looks like Burger is out of stock on the intake replacement filter, any other sources you have had experience with? I noticed your license plate with Burdick on it, are you in the central ny area?

This is my next car. I had an F30 335d stage 2 tuned to 389bhp and I miss it, but I sold it due to it not being big enough. This car ticks all boxes.
This car is def a bigger and more comfortable car, doesn’t even drive like a big car either. It’s awesome.

@@suhoops1620 on my 540 I do not have a downpipe it’s stock. On my M235 I got a VRSF catless downpipe. Some places don’t want to sell those anymore so you may have to try eBay or something.

Test drove a 2017 BMW 540i xDrive //M Sport with 72,323 Miles the dealership is asking for $30,000 so I’m assuming this would be a stupid purchase seeing I can get one with lower miles for a little bit more

Why would you do downpipes on a luxury barge like that sub 13s is amazing is do a s1 tune at most it’s the wife’s anyway lol
If I do a DP it’ll be a high flow cat. She will hate the smell of a catless haha.
I have same car you have to get catted downpipes so ur wife don’t complain about smell go with AA and get a resonator delete
