John, is wondering, why bother going to America? British bands never do well in the USA. I think the rest should listen to John and stay in the UK. Americans are not going to like these lads from Liverpool. I bet no one will tune into their first TV performance in the USA.
Funny though if you watch the full interview when they arrive the press is quite hostile.
One press person asks them "are you for real" and snorts in derision. They tell them to get a haircut.
Can you imagine years later when your only claim to fame as a journalist was being there when The Beatles arrived and asking a question and people ask, what did you say "are you for real!".
Also amongst all the fans greeting them there were a group of young Republicans with signs saying "Beatles go home". When asked why they said they were worried about them taking money out of the US economy. Seriously.
