Cotton made in Africa is a standard for sustainable cotton from Africa. Since its inception in 2005, we have been committed to environmental protection and improved living and working conditions of smallholder cotton farmers in sub-Saharan Africa.

The cotton made in Africa innovative production packages continue to influence the practice of smallholder farming in eastern Africa where women and youth farmers are now able to make own pegboards and scout for pests; this has been greatly facilitated by wide use of the Mola trap technique which enables the farmers to understand the life cycle of the boll worms and these are trapped before they lay eggs on the crop. These two simple but effective techniques are gaining appreciation in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia, parts of Uganda, Malawi and Mozambique.
