Aquablazing Floyds Fork in a Canoe

- Hiking in July tends to suck, so Angell and I called up my Dad a couple Sundays ago and asked if he wanted to take us out in his canoe. We put in at Seaton Valley, in Turkey Run Park, and paddled six miles down to Cliffside, in Broad Run Park.
I apologize in advance for not wearing a life jacket. I was the only reckless one in our party. We obviously know very little about watercraft, but it didn’t stop us from having a great day.
There are three gauges on Floyds Fork. For this route, pay attention to the Fisherville gauge, which should be above 150 CFS for a good run. Also check the Mt. Washington gauge, which should be above 100 CFS for a good run. Anything lower, and you’ll probably do some walking with a canoe as heavily loaded as ours was.
