I like GTA V so much. But I also don't like the fact that the game mechanics have stayed the same and not evolved all those years...
I mean more or less you do the same things in all those games, with better graphics.
But what else could you do? Let me give you an example.
Lets say you head down a road in GTA V and you see a sexy girl and you instantly wanna make sex with her. So how cool it would be to be able to initiate a conversation with her! Like a RPG conversation, hitting the right ones takes you on a date. And how cool it would be that simple think to be able to change the whole storyline of the game! I mean the missions.
How cool it would be for GTA VI when it ever comes out to let you interact with people, objects in various ways and also be able to change the course of the ingame story to other branches of stories that will be enabled when you do certain things and others be disabled.
And I know that you can hire a hooker. But that's not what I am trying to say here... I meant it as an example. It would be cool to interact with ANY NPC in the game and unlock certain features of the game...
Ever since I start playing GTA I didn't really care so much about the missions. I cared more making my own story of the game playing it as a giant sandbox. That is what get's GTA to be so successful. That you can build your own story just by roaming in the city talking to yourself like an autistic dumbass but yeah it was so fun!
I think that here is where Rockstars need to invest. And not getting the graphics to look better. They look ok as they are...
Also... I think that in GTA games we need more stuff to invest our money to. I mean, after a certain point your money stacks (and I remember that from GTA III and on games) become so large that you can just buy everything and still waste no money... I mean this sucks. I dont know about GTA V but especially in GTA san andreas, vice city and liberty city the amount of things you could afford was so little that you didn't have anything to do with your money. After a level, the game becomes boring just because you can't do anything more than laying around killing people and chased by the police...
I mean, sure in GTA V you could buy very expensive houses but its not so important is it? To survive... It would be better to be able to invest money to more and more things, making the game to stop being boring after a while but also more competitive.
Because lets face it. The story of all those games is pretty easy... No big deal. And that's because they made it that way. I also think that the difficulty of the game needs to be re-made to future titles so that requires the player to invest big amount of cash and never really relaxes and let the game become boring...

CornerrecordZ That sounds like a fun game, but I think you're missing what GTA's really about. GTA's supposed to be all about the chaos you can cause as this overpowered criminal. That's why GTA is so successful, because it lets people do things in a game that they couldn't do in real life: steal cars, beat up hookers (with a dildo), go on police chases, blow up buildings and cars and quite a bit more. To implement a good storyline wouldn't be bad, but it wouldn't be very good, either, because nobody play GTA for the story. You're right about more things to spend money on, though, that they could improve.
YayCakes sure! the core essence of the chaos that you mentioned needs to stay as it is. But I find this quite a big world and rather empty if I cant interact with the things around me and influence my gameplay.
I mean, lets move on people! Its 2015

I know yall think he is a good driver, but actually he edits together the best stuff and just takes out the crashes. Heres an example at 4:44 he is obviously headed for a bunch of trees, but at the next shot their gone. Another one is at the slow turn at 1:05 you can see a car coming towards him in the same lane, but at the next shot its gone. So he is not really different from you and I.
