The Story of the Devonshire village of Bickleigh, its river, the Exe and the people who lived and worked in the area over 20 years ago. The film is in eight 10 minute parts on You tube and is ideal watching on a cold winters day in the middle of a pandemic.
Most of the film was shot in gorgeous Spring and Summer sunshine about an area embraced by all of that which could be called idyllic and a rural eden.
It is a great look and comparison with what is happening in the village at the end of 1990; the turn of the Millennium with a backward glance at the place 40 years before, a village which film maker Mike Drury knew very well whilst growing up. A sweet reflection and complimentary look at the people who lived and worked some 60 years past and the changelings who lived in this idyllic landscape at the Millennium..
