It's The Damned - Rat, Dave Vanian, Brian James, Captain & I think Lu Edmonds
@@TravisBickle1963 Oh yeah, I was a bit pissed :-0
alvis costello was the original singer for the damned. he wrote the rich kids' songs and he was the father of gaye advert. talent!
A joke? Need a source for the Costello was the original singer assertion. He makes no mention of it in his autobiography.
It was Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols but he didnt show up and Dave Vanian got it on the spot, he has said he didnt even know how to sing but had lied to Chrissie Hynde to get the audition.
@@timothym2241 he is embarrassed about it as they kicked him out as he didn't drink and lived with his parents so he doesn't talk about it
reindeer o'stoole How do you come to know this?
@@timothym2241 Well-known anecdote to those that were around in the mid to late 70s London music scene. MacManus wasn't well-liked either.
2022 it’s the fucking bollox.
I didn't realize that R.K.L. was around back then. Ps. Rich kids not rich kids on lsd...... Lol
Future Plague shut in here, man, did billy idol just make the joraches wet or what? Also, the Adverts can get it. TV Smith is low-key packin' heat in the loading dock.
Who's the extra guitarist playing with the Damned?? And that doesn't look or sound like Scabies!
Lu Edmonds surely ? And it is Scabies unmistakably !
this has to be Lu. the drummer could be Moss, as he did play with the damned around that time too...
Yep it's Lu Edmonds..........now the thin beardy Guitarist in P I L!
@@Min-xm8tp and it is myself on drums - Dave Berk - but don't wanna blow me own trumpet! I shared a flat with Rat, Rat left and I took over for a while before they sacked me! so I'm afraid pancrack is indeed mistaken.... hey-ho.... gawd 40 years ago! cheers-o
40 Years...yeah bleedin 'ell'. So your playing the Trumpet now, thought you were on Drums Arf Arf. Good for you Dave, you blow away Mate and put pancrack right. Really nice to hear off you Matey, hope your doing well!
THE GREAT BRITISH MISTAKE
Punks not dead
Gaye Advert 21:44
Another Mike Mansfield shoestring budget exercise.....with no room for air conditioning
The only Rich Kids album had some very good tracks.....they got stick because they weren't "punk" enough....
Does anyone else think TV Smith looks and sounds like GG Allin in his early years?
No.
Eh?!?
@@beefheart1410I've got no idea what I was thinking!
@@beefheart1410 I mean, I can still sort of hear an Americanized TV Smith in "Don't Talk to Me".
Great Download, did remind me just how appalling the Rich Kids were, especially compared to the other bands on this show!
Midge!
ブライアンはMC5みたいにしたくてギターもう1本入れたらしいけどはっきり言ってルーは
要らんよなぁ。
