Webcam highlights: • Red-footed falcons
This is one of the 3 cameras which are broadcasting live from a natural breeding colony near Hortobágy National Park in Hungary. We expect breeding of Red-footed Falcons here, but there is chance that Kestrels occupy it.

Jun 13. 18:00 Live stream started. There are 4 eggs in the nest
Jun 24. 08:24 1st chick hatched
Jun 24. 18:32 2nd chick hatched
🐦 SEASON 2021 🐦
4 eggs were laid on 25/05, 28/05, 30/05, 02/06.
Unfortunatelly the female was probably captured by a larger bird of prey. Breeding failed
New female appeared, who laid 3 eggs on 17/06, 19/06, 21/06.
2 chicks hatched on 16/07
At 4:30 on 25/07 a very unusual thing happened, a Little Owl killed both chicks. This is absolutelly not typical behavior of the Little Owls. In the past there were several successful breeding at this location, we hope Little Owls will stop doing this next season.
🐦 SEASON 2020 🐦
5 eggs were laid on 09/05, 11/05, 13/05, 15/05, 17/05
Only 4 chicks hatched. 3 of them on 10/06 and the last one on 11/06.
Late this afternoon on 05/07, a chick fell out of the nest. Sándor put it back in the evening, but late evening it fledged permanently.
Second check fledged an 06/07 and the last two on 07/07.
