Thank you for showing us the correct way to install this battery.
Apparently Suunto thinks divers aren't smart enough anymore (as of 2017) to change this battery, so good luck finding a replacement case or pod as they call it, if you feel like replacing it. Some of us have no choice to do this where we live, due to the poor Suunto service (in Canada at least) Pay attention to the direction of the battery because unlike most "normal" batteries, the stubby end is the negative side. Look for the tiny + signs on the "flat" side of the battery and the tiny label stuck inside where the battery sits for the correct direction.
Here's another thing about Suunto. If you have a D9tx (not a D9) don't go looking for a special wrench to unscrew the case as you would a D9 which uses a perfectly round "O" ring.
Suunto would like you to think you need special tools to change that CR2032 battery on a D9tx when all you need is a T6 Torx bit to remove 6 tiny screws. If you can do that, then you're probably smart enough not to over tighten these after you've cleaned the squiggly or wavy "O" ring and used a light coating of silicone grease on it. Cheers!
The only thing you might not have is a way to pressure test things, but if you're methodical and carefull, there should be no problem.

Battery Correction to D9tx. Battery used in the D9tx is a CR2450, not a CR2032. Sorry if I confused anyone. Cheers!

Actually SS don't sell the kit to you they only do in store replacements which is a bit of a pain if you have a pod that is working and want to have a spare battery to fit on a trip.

Very good, except you messed up one critical piece of information. The screws are Pozi Drive, NOT Phillips.
using the wrong driver will damage the screws.
There are four distinct cross marks on the screw heads. This means it's Pozi Drive, not Phillips.

Not a bad design. I have an AquaLung one where the battery goes in the other end. Unfortunately it's soft plastic and hard to get off because using a coin or screwdriver tears away chunks of plastic. Any tips for removing a stuck lid for the other type? 🤔

Maybe trying a plastic guitar pick would help remove the soft plastic without splintering? Never tried it with dive equipment, but it helps when opening laptops.

@@jooborrego4 thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately a guitar pick will not be wide or firm enough. It is poorly designed or made of the wrong materials.

Hey +Luis Enrique PH, if you fit the O-Ring correctly and the O-Ring is clean it will be watertight.
