I've noticed there's an oversight about the theme of love in this game. There's clearly a stark contrast between how is treated between the couples of Xu You-Yi and Yan Shu-Wen versus the Sarge and the Nurse (Headless Consort). The Sarge loved the Nurse so much that he stayed to help his wife out of her misery, until literally death did them apart (or not), while Yan couldn't get the love that he wanted, despite all the obsession and infatuation that he had over Xu. It is often said that in traditional Chinese/Taiwanese culture, that couples will truly be together to satisfy their "karmic entanglement" with one and another. If you are meant to be with a person, then no matter what you do, you will be with that person. Yan fought hard to be with Xu, but couldn't be with her no matter how hard he tried. The Nurse and Sarge loved each other dearly, so much that even after the Nurse passed, she still reminisce the times when they gave flowers to each other. She remembered it to the point that seeing flowers in her dismembered form will calm her down. The Sarge also made the simple decision to pass facing the Gate of Chaos, knowing that he would be with her forever after his passing. This is really touching :'(
Lmao I only realized halfway through the video that this is referencing the real-life Wen Hua University in Taipei, just with a character change. They do have a Da Ren Building, and the longstanding rumor passed through the student population is that its haunted. And again, the rumors about the eight trigram designs of the buildings, etc are also decently well-known in gossip. How do I know this? My brother studied there. He hasn't seen a single ghost during his 4 years there (which clearly means he hasn't been trying hard enough). He attributes the ghost stories to the fact that the university is high up in the mountains far away from downtown Taipei and the cold mountain air just makes things foggy and eerie all the time.
@@DOT107 The movie was shot in another College. The game's story happened in 文華 university, that's 文化 university in real. And the Da Ren Building write in "大忍", in real that write in "大仁". Pretty sure it's based on a real university in the mountains as well :) pictures you find in the game look almost the same as the main gate of the real university
I have a feeling this is connected to the second movie. Sue Lian is a name play on the character from the first movie and does show up in the second movie Shu Yu Lian.
The green spirit orb was part of the dark one right? As it basically tricked Rich into making a wish and I think at the end you see it fly back to the dark one
Who was the toddler ghost in the computers, did we ever get any lore of that? It felt cringy that they just placed a random ghost like that in the game
Just some random doll called Slappy that had a demon inside it. But because of the nature of the Da Ren building, the spirit inside the doll couldn’t leave either.
He wasn’t evil. He was cursed by Yan. He was being controlled by way of the cursed stone and the voodoo doll. He died in 1970 but the game doesn’t tell us how. The game says that before he met Yan he was different and he loved his daughter a lot.
Honestly i still dont understand who the Dark One is or the security guard guy BUT i loved the ballerinas story and i wished each chapter had us solving the myserty of a ghost like that. The ballerinas story just seemed a lot more developed than the guard & the hanging ladys one
Listened to the video while I took a shower. So the moans and screams made interacting with the family later on funny uncomfortable. Also I didn't understood anything. 10/10
Playing this right at this moment! Will be back after finishing the game to check out your video :D Don't know if you mention this in your video but to me it was kinda strange/disrespectful that they made the girl in the elevator (on the tape) move exactly like that video of Elisa Lam...
There is a second movie but its also its own separate stand alone story, different from the first movie and also different from this game, which is nice and interesting.
In the horror game Paranormal hk. Said the yin and yang is sacred among the Chinese. Yin is light yang is dark. They are balance. When the other one is broken there must be terrible is going to be happen. Ps. Sorry my English is not good
can someone tell me if the bridge curse 2: ritual (the Movie) takes place after or before the game or is it even connected to the game at all. Cause some said the first game is a sequel to the movie. Or are the games just an adaption of the movies?
hang on isnt teh elevator bit a call out to the girl Elisa Lam who died at the actual Cecil hotel, as she demonstrated very erratic behavior on the elevator camera before being found dead 11 days later after being reported missing in the water tank on the roof.
well i agree abut Yin and Yang, is always symbol of Harmony and Balance... just like our daily...there is Day and Night, Good and Evil... Good and Evil never can merge but complimented each other, There no life without death and there no death without life well....Nurgel wit proud with me....

Pretty sure it's based on a real university in the mountains as well :) pictures you find in the game look almost the same as the main gate of the real university
I have a feeling this is connected to the second movie. Sue Lian is a name play on the character from the first movie and does show up in the second movie Shu Yu Lian.
great video harry gaming🤩💯Also when i saw the part with the elevator it kind of reminds me of the Elisa Lam case.
its a direct reference with her movements. Like deadringer from what I recall of the footage...
These videos are so great! I love your channel.
Ohh Man I was really hoping for you to explain BC2 yesterday and here you are 😂. Tysm ❤
Honestly would love of you covered the Dress to Impress Halloween quest. It was surprisingly good and there's a tone of lore behind it.
Was waiting for this!
I like your effort of trying your best to pronounce each character's Chinese name. Not bad for a non-Mandarin speaker.
You give me hope
Just finished losing a match in Mobile Legends then this came up, I can feel my cool come back immediatedly 😂❤ Thank you Harry😊
ML can be stressful 😂
Huang Ting Ting just makes me think of Backseat Freestyle by Kendrick. Can't separate the two sounds now.
The green spirit orb was part of the dark one right? As it basically tricked Rich into making a wish and I think at the end you see it fly back to the dark one
I know I may not be the first to say this but does anyone else hear the theme song to "Law & Order" every time Harry says "Lore & Order"? 😂 😂
9:10 The Mad Ballerina..?
13:49 THE MAD BALLERINA!!
Loooove this series. I don't have the patience or budget or pc for video games, so I really appreciate videos that walk through game stories
I like how for the mad ballerina, since she was always bad at it, they made it bad during her dancing😅
who posted like 10 seconds ago? im hella early! this is going to be fun!
Thanks for the jump scare warnings aha!
How did Sarge manage to look that good in what I presume his near 60s?
That's what I'm wondering, too !!!
Hey Gaming Harry! Could you do a review on the game "What have you done, Father?"
Thanks so much for all you do❤️❤️❤️
Man that must be some messed up stuff going on if even the elevator wants out and away from it
Wait so what happened to the evil dad? Did he just get away with forcing his daughter get murdered by a psycho?
He wasn’t evil. He was cursed by Yan. He was being controlled by way of the cursed stone and the voodoo doll. He died in 1970 but the game doesn’t tell us how. The game says that before he met Yan he was different and he loved his daughter a lot.
They tied in Cecil Hotel Elisa Lamb thing was the elevator clip.
Thank you for making this lore video. I am scared of horror games and can't play them.
Honestly i still dont understand who the Dark One is or the security guard guy BUT i loved the ballerinas story and i wished each chapter had us solving the myserty of a ghost like that. The ballerinas story just seemed a lot more developed than the guard & the hanging ladys one
The ballerina part was really well made.
Nice. Something to watch and listen to at night. 😂
Listened to the video while I took a shower. So the moans and screams made interacting with the family later on funny uncomfortable. Also I didn't understood anything. 10/10
I'm half way through, wild story!
Have you heard of Survivor & Horror Game called Still Wakes the Deep? Pretty interesting game.
Yeah played it the other day. Good game.
I've never heard or seen of this game yet It looks so interesting, fun and pretty good
Why does the elevator scene (4.11) remind me of the real-life footage of Elisa Lam's elevator scene at the Cecil Hotel?
Yeah, I think they based it on her
More exciting to watch this
Then to watch a play through of the game
Same, I always do that. Even with movies - first a summary and then I watch the movie.
@@shiminhyo5383: nice!
Started waiting for Harry to release this as soon as I saw the game had been released. Watched CJUgames play it, watch Harry explain it!
Dude you are the best at this shit. Remember that. My opinion carries alot of weight cause I watch TH-cam everyday lol
Playing this right at this moment! Will be back after finishing the game to check out your video :D Don't know if you mention this in your video but to me it was kinda strange/disrespectful that they made the girl in the elevator (on the tape) move exactly like that video of Elisa Lam...
6:06 Yeah thanks man, I could tell
There is a second movie but its also its own separate stand alone story, different from the first movie and also different from this game, which is nice and interesting.
Just here to say ty for my nighttime audio book. 😊
Great Video! Can you do a Lore and Order/Story Explained for the F.E.A.R fracnhise?
Loving these videos! Hope you can keep doing the fallout videos
So they don't really give an explanation for the possessed doll?
I have one. A ghost was bored and possessed it. 😅😂
In the horror game
Paranormal hk.
That dude's mustache is awesome.
Hi Harry! Did you do a play through of this? I looked at your gaming channel and couldn’t find a video! I was hoping to watch your play!
Nah sorry, didn’t have time to film a playthrough
Ah that’s no problem! I was intrigued with the ballerina section so I thought I’d watch your play through before I find other videos on it :)
hang on isnt teh elevator bit a call out to the girl Elisa Lam who died at the actual Cecil hotel, as she demonstrated very erratic behavior on the elevator camera before being found dead 11 days later after being reported missing in the water tank on the roof.
well i agree abut Yin and Yang, is always symbol of Harmony and Balance...
just like our daily...there is Day and Night, Good and Evil...
Good and Evil never can merge but complimented each other, There no life without death and there no death without life
well....Nurgel wit proud with me....
The moral of the story is simple: do not release a trailer until you’ve shot the film.
You should check out “The Dark Occult” it’s a conjuring based game
plate at the ready
As soon as I saw he posted, I clicked.
What’s the point with the dude being transformed as the dark one?
