I've read and reread and watched and re watched these so many times over the years, they've tarnished a bit for me. This reading is like finding this story for the first time. Thank you for posting it.

The Second Story which was 6 hours long I listen to so intensely and straight through. This second story was fantastic. I'm definitely going to tell my personal friends immediately to check this out today. Thanks so much and I will definitely be sharing it also.

Sherlock has become a hero of mine. Defiantly top 10 with Jesus Christ the savior at the top. Thank you for this and bless you in these dark times. We need role models.like Holmes more than ever.
Hmmmm... SPOILER AHEAD I do not like the ending.....If Holmes had used his discretion and played along with the subterfuge then what happened on the boat at the end would not have happened.
It was nicely read, with excellent accents and elocution -- the reader is quite talented. However, if you read the actual novel along with it for comparison, as I did, you'll find that in fact he often skips or changes words, even leaves out whole sentences now and then, though never anything important that would significantly alter the meaning. At the finish, he even gets the title wrong -- "end of 'The Last Valley' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle." Sloppy work, I must say, but very entertaining for all that.
NOW NOTHING AGAINST THE WRITER OF THIS STORY and yes I have been enjoying it, But, this story has been yes copied from a (Basil Rathbone/ Sherlock Holmes) episode . Now at the moment I do not know the name of the episode, and it all has to do with the missing dumb-bell the bicycle and the moat. ( And you can research this to see if I speak the truth !!! ) and I do think the people that is providing the upload and these old fantastic stories originally from the BBC. And the narrator and every character has done a wonderful job in , this 1st. Story. I will not reveal the ending, because anyone reads this in the future it would ruin the story for others. And thank you once again...............

You read well because you understand what you’re reading. Others read just to be dramatic and have no clue how to tell a story.
Thank you !
Nicely told. Wonderful narration and prefer you to all the other Librivox narrators. Well done.

It's confusing as hell when you read every character in the same voice.
So many ignorant people trying to understand this story. Sad.
