Hi, Do you have a non time lapse version of this video? I am a uni student for studying Project Management, I am interested in using this video for my project on work improvement. Do you mind sharing it with me? Sincerely.
I find myself questioning how the wall doesn't move when it is just sitting on 3/4 clear? What am I missing? I get that they probably used PL premium or another adhesive for the rows above....right? but the foundation is the most important. Is this just the way it is done? And I am not ragging on this group of guys, I seen it on almost every other video I have watched. Just curious is all.
Why did you did that really deep trench out for the wall only to fill the entire thing all the way back up and set the blocks at finished grade anyway? Why not just dig the entire patio and wall out and set on the same base? By putting 3/4 clean under the wall the water is going to collect there, so it is actually encouraging the wall to move during a freeze thaw cycle, then the limestone treads are more likely to crack. You seem to have built a moat, once the soil freezes around it, it now captures the water more easily and is trapped there. The first course(s) of any wall should be filled with impervious base material, not drainage materials, till it gets above grade. Maybe your climate conditions are different where you are, but that would not work around here. Even if you are in a non freeze area, you are still saturating the soils under the wall and encouraging movement.
Isn't there a better option for you to use rather than cutting every single block on that seat wall? That's a lot of unnecessary labor. Check out Anchor Block Brisa. I'm surprised Unilock doesn't have something comparable. This is a 2 or 2.5 day job tops for us.
The Brisa is the same type of product as the Estate Wall. As far as I know there is not a manufactured block that doesn't need to be cut to make curved walls. Each block has a radius that you can use and not cut but thats rare.
It looks nice but there was an incredible amount of work for the outcome. First, why in the world would they do such a tremendous amount of work and leave that old pre-cast concrete steps and cheap railing?? Second- there looks like no drainage at/near the wall. Where does the water go when you hose it down?? Looks like it gets trapped at the curve. Could have been a lot nicer with a little insight and planning.
as an English bricklayer and landscaper I could go to USA and make an absolute killing! if that's the best they can do that's absolute shite. shocking job.
Absolutely beautiful 👌😮😊!
What a bunch of hard workers, wow!!! It looks expensive and well done.
Big improvement, really nice design and quality job.

Turned out awesome!
Good job, lots of work.
WOW...Can't believe they did that all in under 7 minutes !!

Should of did the stairs with the same stone as the wall.
I'd have raiser the steps to about 3/4 in of the door then topped it off with an entry cover.
How long did the job take you to complete guys?
jerry godinez This job took us a week to finish. If you enjoyed this time lapse check out my others on my page!
how long of intervals were the time lapses?
Every 5 seconds.
how much did this project cost?
+robert decoulaz I prefer not to give exact amounts but it was in the $10-15k range to give you an idea!
It looked better before but it would look more nice if they layed some turf and put some gardens and colour.other than that nice job!

Is buying an Excavator worth it?
Of course! Its the most used piece of equipment we own!
personally the before looked better. That amount of stone in the front seem so over the top for that average of a home.
Well that was dum now it's going to be twice as hot during the summer with those stones !
Would have been good to see what the owners wanted to put out there. It looks a bit bare.
Lovely job but need to work on the random paving pattern a bit. Too many X spots.
shame they didn't want the stoop to be stone, too, instead of that cheap prefab.
I wonder how much rocks they have in the lungs from all that dust
Should have redone the steps. The first step is way to short now. Cutting corners doesn’t look good.
The matrix crew
So many mistakes did not wack the sand before flags went on gonna sink all-day
They just had to keep the stairs eh? haha
Yeah apparently. If I were them I would have replaced them while we were there!
Next project, update the now ugly front steps
Haha seriously. I hate when people do projects like this and leave something like that...
And they didn't save the hosta!
Would have been better with just a half wall...not one that high. Too fancy for a below average looking home
No mamen
Looked better before... sorry :/
That curve is garbage
Nice stone work. Ugly house dont mach
Jc Delgado Bad design for house.. not an ugly house tho it's just the hardscape designer seems like a rookie

Yeah. I guess if you could make such a fortune over here in the US, you're just an idiot for not coming over here to do it!
wolf paw Belive me this is NOT the best... Way too much over digging/ destroying lawn.. At least put some sod down
Ugly global warming...
