I took this med for around 2 years. It impacted my knee from day 1 till the day I took it. I had pain in knee until I took it. The flexibility of my knee has worsened with this. I now have inflamed knee which can never be treated. My AMH went down too. More research is needed on this. The endo did decrease but my whole body is impacted due to discontinued period.

Is there a link to this study maybe somewhere? My clinic only uses Lupron because "that's what they know" and I'm not looking forward to the side effects and want to discuss other options..

Hi Doctor, So my Doctor who was treating me for endo was also my Boss. I got redundant and my health benefits went with the job... haven't heard from him since. So I can't afford my surgery at the moment and my I already took my 6 doses of lectrum. What do you suggest I do next?

Hi Doctor, would you recommend suppressing the endo for someone who is using donor eggs or it really wouldn't matter? Thanks.

Very interesting. Does that mean progesterone pretreatment could have the same positive outcome as well ? For example in the form of vaginal ovules

Lupron has a lot of bad side effects and doesn't stop growth, just pain. Hopefully they find something better and find a cure.

Do you treat all uteruses empirically prior to IVF or FET’s for those who DO NOT have endo?

I'm starting ivf in Feb 2021. I have stage 4 endo diagnosed from laparoscopy, I did Lupron have the surgery, this was all in March of 2015. Is Visanne something I should ask my RE for?

My worry is that with me 36 years old, having low AMH and using lupron for 3 moths followed by ivf stumilation the outcome of eggs would be effected.

@@Ray-sr3pb well I have done several ivf but they all failed. I didnt get enough quantity but they were great quality. so after that we asked our dr that we wanted to do a ReceptivaDx test. It's the only test that showed I have a very high inflamation in my uterus which the dr thought was strange because I do not have endometriosis. He gave me 2 options. Laparoscopy or put me on Lupron shots for a few months. I said I want you to see what's going on in there especially that I had a csection with my first child. ( btw I concieved my first child without any difficulty). Im glad that we did the Laparoscopy because it showed major scar adhesions so basically my uterus was attached to the walls of my abdominal wall where the c section was.The dr had to detach everything. So we did a round of ivf after the surgical no success. Anyway to keep things short we tried naturally for about 2 years with no success. I changed to another dr and had no other option but to do the lupron. We did for 3 months. After that I waited about 2 months for my cycles to get back to normal and Glory to God I got pregnant naturally.

Thanks for this information. I have stage 4 endo, 2 cystectomy in 10 yrs. had 3 IVF cycles with 4 transfers all failed.
My doctor is now looking at doing MRI to check if I have adenomyosis. She is now planning on doing stimulation-retrieve-freeze and then treat adenomyosis (if confirmed) with IUD and treat endometriosis with Visanne for 6 months before frozen embryo transfer. I hope this will finally result to pregnancy.
