Years back when i was in the firewood business we sold pickup truck loads for 50 dollars a load plus a ten dollar delivery fee now wood is stupid expensive around here like 80 dollars a truck load and possibly more
10 dollars for that cubby? Thats a decent price. I only buy firewood on my fishing trips but its 5 dollars a bundle. The bundles only have about 8 or 9 pieces.
I asked myself the same question when I first saw these videos from you. I figured there were multiple bundles tied in each cubby and I just couldn’t see it. Didn’t bother me enough to think much more about it. $10 a cubby is clearer and a pretty good deal.
Would recommend investing in some of that cheap plastic cord and tying the chuck up even if you have to increase each chuck by a dollar or so theft is the biggest killer in small businesses
All this needs is a good, logical design. Get some cheap paint and paint the rectangle around each cubby with some bright paint. This way it is clear that that each bundle/stack is delineated. Bright duct tape may also work
I’d use big painted wooden arrows, screwed to the shelf pointing at each bin with the price clearly marked on each arrow. This will allow you to change prices and information like tree type on the fly, just a couple screws and a new arrow. The arrows should also attract attention from afar and be a pretty easy system that anyone could figure out. Also if you mark the back of each cubby with a giant corresponding number and your contact information is available, customers could let you know what bins are empty with a text. Im just bored thinking out loud. Cool business idea tho. Where is this? Your $10 bins are easy $30+ here.

A standard bundle contains between 7-12 pieces of firewood, and the usual measurement for a piece of firewood is 12-18 inches long with a 3-4-inch diameter. So, the total amount of wood in a bundle is 0.75-1 cubic feet on average.
The way locals do it around me is they just put some twine around each stack to differentiate it but you have those cubbies so, im sure they just thought you wouldn't notice
Do truckload, chord, Rick, and bundles tied with twine or plastic wrap. A lot of gas stations sell a bundle 5-6 pieces for like 10 bucks. They make a killing of the little bundles
i used to work for tree and timber company it doesnt matter what you do when it comes to firewood theyre gonna take as much they can get when i was doing this the company that i worked for had issues with bringing a truck in at night and getting a whole truck load at time we literally had to start parking a truck sideways in the roadway to stop people from coming and stealing the wood even that didnt stop the thefts completely people still pulled off the side of the public road and walked off with arm loads of wood
That's a great amount for 10 when you go to the 7 11 and get the hot sticks bundle has maybe 7 pieces of wood that cost about the same. Im sorry where is this located??😂
Around here they're sold in bundles. A few use twine and most use a mesh bag which i understand is super cheap. The bags aren't loaded by hand, you can buy a sort of metal drawer (a rectangular box with the top and one narrow end b missing) to stack the wood in them slip the whole drawer into the bag and lift the drawer out leaving the wood behind. If you google the term "firewood processor bagger" i think you'll find something like what i mean

I think it’s better off to just buy it and tell other places to three dollars a bundle for wood maybe maybe that is true you’re gonna start a fire in their campground maybe it’s a good idea to get a couple round spots of firewoodif you’re gonna cook outside anyway.
