So true sir, watched many videos that say rotate the body but it's hard to conceive but then you find the brilliant vids like this...throw arms downward and the body reacts to the forces, throw arms over the top and it wants to pull the body forward. Great concept sir, great teaching as always 🏌️

You have tremendous hip and lower back flexibility Marcus. That’s likely why you hit driver 300 but I hit 240 with the same swing approach. But thank you for the approach because I am happy with a fairly straight 240!

Great video, thanks Marcus. Trail arm push, is the Swiss army knife of golf, it does it all. Plus, it's made in Sweden, lol. peace love light

There are so many ambiguous and contradictory descriptions in golf , but you are so right 'a down swing' goes.....'down' - that at least we should understand clearly! Brilliant stuff, as always. Many thanks 🙂

To know, you have to find out … until we get in the dirt with our sticks, we will never know and find out any questions we might have and unfortunately those are your commenters who sounds like they didn’t dig in the dirt to open there minds
Using the arms in the correct way as you pointed out , along with the body with purpose and intention towed by the arms, will really put a smile on a lot of peoples faces as long as they understand what’s up and what’s down
The circle of speed is a weapon for the ones who understand really what a circle ⭕️ looks like and feels like … in there brains and not just on there tongues when they speak of it
Words have meanings and to use them in a abuse manner does no one any good
Up , down, and all around , understand that and you have a weapon you’ll feel very powerful with
Kinda like swinging that lightsaber in the Star Wars movies
    Another good one ,
    Big Swede 👍⛳️👍

Thanks my friend. It is just crazy how simple things can be so har to understand. There is nothing like golf. 🤔

Thanks Marcus for your excellent teaching!
What mental "target focus" for the circle do you propose? What are the mental cues to the target that inspire trust as we bring the circle inside and through the ball to the finish?
For now, I address the ball with the clubface square to the target line but with the body aligned open to it. Therefore, when I swing the circle inside of my body alignment, it feels like I'm flapping my wrists towards the target. In my mind, I anchor the direction of the circle with the direction of the flap. Any better ideas? Thanks.

I don't know what you mean by "flapping" at the ball but if you mean release it should be okey. The key is to disconnect the swing from the target. The club is not supposed to go to the target. Swinging inside to out means that you should swing out to the side of the target.
I don't have a mental cue but I see the circle in my mind and how I should do it all the way to the finish. The club should be open to the target and closed to the club path.
Sadly in golf we can only feel what we do because the swing is to fast to see. The ball is our best teacher.

@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Thanks. Yes, I mean the release. I release in the direction of the desired clubhead path through the ball. I control the shot shape with the club's face relative to this line.
How do you "disconnect the target from the swing"? Do you translate it to body alignment, clubface orientation, a spot after the ball,.....?
By the way, your swing concepts are awesomely effective and healthy for the body. Thanks.

@@nextbounce1724 Seems like you have figured it out. All I mean with disconnect is that I one day decided that I don't swing to the target. Most golfers I meet say that they try to swing to the target. As soon as they understand that that is not what we need to do it starts to become better.

Your very Smart Marcus. Under hand is best way in my opinion. A professional softball pitcher can throw a ball faster under hand than an over hand pitcher according to other my source. I know there
    will be objections.

Underhanded is the only choice we have in golf but many golfers are struggling with finding out how to do it. 😊

These videos are working for me,why, cos i stupidly took my arms out of the golf swing by stuffing things under my armpits and hitting 000s of fullswings, yes i could break 80 i was straight but short
But ive also done a lot of various step drills so i get to my left/lead side early
So soft loading and fast releasing works if you can get to your left side and move your body in harmony, but maybe if you work on your arms your body and feet will respond but ive done it the other way round

Always great content my friend 👍
Light here soon… I’m going to try to hit even further ‘behind’ and down with my hands like never before to get more speed in my circle.

Hey Marcus. I’ve recruited 5 single digit low handicap players at my local club to your program. After 4 weeks the #1 sticking point is the takeaway. The “pull” back & inside. It’s not the inside path that’s in question. All are struggling with the pull itself. Seems the struggle is actually the trail elbow as in when does it fold? How far behind the player does it go? None of these players “rolled” the club face open but seem to have issues which direction the trail palm faces as the club goes up in the circle before starting down. Because of the confusion about the hands at the top they’re severely across the line. Hope this makes sense & maybe could address this in the backswing at some point. Thank you. Randall

Hi Randall. As long as we don’t roll the face open we don’t have to do a pull back. It’s just a good way to avoid the common twisting in the beginning. The circle back is the important part and we are supposed to be a little cross om the top. That makes it easy to start dawn and back from the top. 👍

I started using my arms and hit my irons better than ever, but then I started to shank more. Any reason?

    • @GolfwithMarcusEdblad
      @GolfwithMarcusEdblad  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

Not really. Any change can cause a change in impact. If you release the club the toe of the club should be first to the ball not the hosel of the club. Try the drill in this video to fix it:
