Congratulations to John Ryster for winning first place in the Adult Banjo category at the 2024 Kentucky Historical Society Old-Time Music Contest in Frankfort, Kentucky! Thanks to all the contestants for sharing their music and cheering each other on. We hope to see you again next year. Louisville Folk School was proud to curate the first Kentucky Historical Society Old-Time Music Contest as part of Kentucky History Day. There were family-friendly activities on the lawn of the Old State Capitol and throughout downtown Frankfort, KY.
