Like most, I've heard this song sung a thousand times by hundreds of people over many decades, but this is the best sung version of Skibbereen I've ever heard. Perfect timing of guitar chord, notes, the whole lot. Well done!

My Grandmother left Skibbereen during the famine to come to America. Your version is absolutely beautiful - gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears. I look forward to hearing everything from you

Thank you for keeping history alive. My grandfather went as a babe in arms with his parents from Skibbereen in the 1800s to Western Australia, for a new life and new beginnings. The story of the great famine and its consequences should never be forgotten.

My grandfather had three sons, who all did well in Australia, and have left their legacy in science. All the best to you.

Ditto for two of mine who fled first to Wales, then on to Tyneside. They married and had 21 children. 17 reached adulthood. There are thousands of us now. Revenge for Skibereen.
