We went to Vanuatu on the Pacific Grand Voyage on Holland America in 2013. Just looked at the pictures to refresh our memmories. There was a farmers market selling all kinds of crafts. While there a child approached me with a flower he just picked hoping to sell to me. I gave him some money and I think I told him to give the flower to his mom
The '''NAY SAYERS ''' can Say all They want about How BAD Cruising is but the Lines always Step Up and help in all Situtations .. Being Retired the last 4 Years We sit down in January and layout Our Cruises [Usually 4 ] for the coming Year ..
As I remember, there is no difference in the cost of the cruise. The only difference is that the refundable deposit is higher than the non-refundable deposit. So I always choose the refundable deposit as that would have been part of the total cost of the cruise anyway.
Got into an extended discussion with a young lady who was helping people find ways to sneak liquor on board. According to her, she doesn't even drink, she just likes to help people get around the rules. Crazy
Hey Jayson, many travel agents have access to group pricing on many sailings. They lock in the price at a low rate plus with groups, the deposits are refundable. Many times the group will come with on board credit or some perks.
These are the two boards I watch daily and have really good information, personally I think they are better than the Facebook boards www.reddit.com/r/Cruise/ www.reddit.com/r/CarnivalCruiseFans/ Thanks for watching
Always now book with a refundable deposit. RC will switch your cruise if it's not a refundable deposit for $100 per person fee to move it to a later date. So if you put down $1000 deposits for 2 people you'd be out $200 to move it and the remaining $800 would go towards a future cruise at a later date.
There is no civil unrest in the Republic of Vanuatu. In South Pacific area there is at this point civil unrest in New Caledonia (it's not part of the Republic of Vanuatu). New Caledonia is a sui generis collectivity of France. Greetings from Moorea (sister island of Tahiti) in French-Polynesia in South Pacific 🌴🏖😎🇵🇫🇫🇷🇪🇺

Vanuatu is where Survivor is made.
We always book thru next cruise for this reason. Booking as far out as possible for the lower rate with only the $100pp risk

Actually it usually cost a couple hundred dollars more to book a refundable deposit cruise. But it is well worth it.

Another perk to booking with TA vs the Cruise Line.
Always book a future cruise deposit on my cruises
