From my understanding, anything that you CAN make is on the menu every single day, but the board is only things that you SUGGEST for that day. Some people do not even look or ask about suggestions, or can even afford them in real life. I like the game so far.
I personally would have went with the second table as the first upgrade, but you seem to be doing well so far. Enough quirks that if I do get the game it'll be in a year or more when it's getting bigger sales, but still seems like an okay time-sink.
