Seems to me like we did know. 😊✌💙
Mostly just the radio and live concerts.
That's the amazing part to me. In my area,
      D/FW Texas,
      radio station,
      KZEW "The Zoo"
      was everything.
We had some great Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin venues and clubs too.

I love how you described it as "musical TAPESTRY", because that's exactly what it was! Music of many different genres....no two alike. Groups, singers, were experimenting, and came up with fabulous new "sounds". Although I wasn't in to disco at all, there were a few excellent exceptions, just because of the quality and uniqueness of them. But, (only my opinion, my taste, much of it (disco) was mediocre, at best).

I remember listening to some of these songs when we could listen to AFVN (US Military Radio Station in Vietnam) when we could while inroute to missions in our helicopter. It gave me a little of the time that others were having back home. Helped me to clear my head and get ready for what we could find waiting for us.

This apparently is a promo performance. You can tell they are lip sinking. It’s the studio version of this song. It’s awesome to see them having such a good time trying to keep up !! I think I enjoy videos like this more than live performances. They were amongst the very best. 😤

Distant memories of this song awakened in my head a couple days ago. Feels like I haven't heard it played in decades. Was trying to remember what band it belonged to. Last night it came to me. I saw TDN perform at the Denver coliseum in 1971...and many other great bands (The Who) there that same year.

That place was hell on earth. Open racism everywhere. It's a place so vile that the US Army has a long list of OFF LIMITS local businesses that are openly racist and illegal for soldiers to even visit! I would be embarrassed to admit I was from that den of evil. Shameful AF.
