I want an Astral Chain 2 that involves Kyle and the Hermits more. Did anyone else at least wish Kyle was a little more significant in the story?
I was hoping Kyle was gonna help out the twins at the end. But the game left me wondering what becomes of kyle after losing his members. I know the epilogue shows him with Hal maybe a add on dlc story with Kyle being the playable character? Would also be okay with a spinoff or sequel where he's playable I really like kyle lol hope if they do a sequel they let your player talk tho.

Sadly, I doubt we will see Kyle again. His VA passed away a few months ago.

I’m 75% sure that Platinum is going to do another continuation or something of the like. I still have so many unanswered questions.
What was Yoseph's motivation? What was Jena's alternative plan to save humanity? What was the mystery behind the twin's birth? What truly is the Astral Plane? Could Max still be alive and out there? Why are we told that the Spirit Realm lies beyond the Astral Plane?
I need explanations!
Well I can say that the twins were born to a mother that was redshifting during their birth, so that contributed to their powers. Yoseph apparently was covering up a lot of the governments work with the Zone 09 outbreak where they gave out drugs that caused people to redshift. And Jena probably wanted the homunculus to be protectors against chimeras but they ended up leaving destruction in their wake so it was a failed plan. A lot of hidden lore + speculation involved lol
The first 3 are pretty self evident. Yoseph wanted humanity to ascend to a higher plain - the Astral Plain. Jenna created a creature that could consume corruption, allowing them to win while staying human. The Twins were born during the Pandemic, likely to a mother uffering severe corruption and borderline redshift. That's implied to be why they naturally sync with their Legions.
And in the ending, it's sort of implied your Axe Legion *is* Max? Like perhaps they fused somehow? When you found that legion, it did have uts collar back on but Max was gone.
Nuvendil I didn’t really interpret it as Max and his legion fusing. I interpreted it as the Legion reminding the MC of Max because, like Max, it protected him.
As for the other answers, I kinda knew them, but at the same time I really felt like there was a more to it than that.
The Astral Plane is said to be a storage unit for earth, in the persons of interest, Yoeseph’s description states that the Astral plane was made to stop humanity from evolving to far

poor akira, he is not the same at the end, and his sister is not even mourning him because of his replacement, very hard fate

At least the Akira clone wasn't made as a blank slate. If you talk to them, they still have their memories, but not up until the final battle.
That's definitely the original Akira, if you talk to him post game, he'll have the same personality, and memories that only the real Akira would have, up to being forcibly fused into Noah.
@@aortaplatinum Not only that but right after Akira comes back in the new raven armor, Hal talks about crows (which we know what that meant) so clones were already around that time. Plus Yoseph seems like the kind of guy who'd keep his source of genetic samples in case some bug or thing really goes wrong and as such wouldn't hate getting rid of a test run clone with more of a personality to it. Not only that but if the true Akira wasn't part of Noah they wouldn't remember that stuff and it would explain why they were the only "clone" to stay if they were the og. I mean we've seen legions are not kind (aside from the one that sort of fused with his dead owner) and I kinda doubt that Noah is a nice final boss thing.
AortaPlatinum and I don’t think the clones are as strong as our akira. We can defeat clones really easily, and real akira is just as strong as the mc. Also, we always refuse to die :D
When I went taking pictures around later and then looked at his profile, it was revealed that Brenda had given clone Akira his memories that she could get from the arrow legion, and so we have a living and thinking Akira, but he is confirmed NOT the original Akira because he did not think before Brenda did her memory transfer magic

I chose yes because I thought that not doing it would bring some bad ending and I couldn’t bare that. When I saw the axe legion come out I thought for a sec there was a way to solve this without killing Akira

combat s ranks are stupidly forgiving. but good luck s ranking some of those damn mini games. i feel bad for people that go for full completion of this game, i see some of the stuff on that list and just smh. i made it to 150/185 orders tho somhow
That's why I hated file 8 and 9 the most. Most of file 8's red cases are ones that doesn't involve fighting chimeras, and in file 9 there is the infamous bike section where the only way to get S+ is by not getting a single hit.
hopefully if theres an astral chain 2, they allow the playable character to fully speak throughout the game. I get that "silence" is suppose to represent the person playing the game and experiencing everything but that only makes sense if we're playing a character we created. the game already has established protagonists with a background and relationships with other characters, so the "player" can't put themselves in their shoes because we can't really relate to the characters due to them already having their own story. PLUS the main character just making grunt noises during emotional moments just make the scenes awkward, AND playing a "silent" character that has a voice actor with spoken lines seems a bit ridiculous.
So...to resume things, that Akira doesn't have belly button...

One of the first games that nearly managed to have me tears. Damn, I thought the Akira character was gonna die. I then said after starting FILE 12 “I knew he/she would be alive” This game is just Awesome…
Thou the story is so very platinum games of them (meaning average) I enjoy EVERYTHING about this game nonetheless to the extent of it being my best things ever.

Poinkal I wish they’re was more backstory with the hermits and that they played a bigger role in the game or something. Kyle was definitely one of my favorite characters in the game
Sadly I don’t think that would be the case he obviously has a connection t zone 9 he probably lives there
But as to the hermits in the game I feel like he would know himself and I feel like he would know who the next leader would be after him and what would be going on in the hermits after he left since he would have kept tabs on them
one of the hermits says that the previous leader was a tech genius or something along those lines so i feel like this is probably true lol

Jimmy Chen especially when they both got a voice actor, both say lines in the end, and when you sync with your sword legion they say “Legion!” They could have added certain lines in then again they may have taken a little longer.

No, I don't think you did anything wrong. The epilogue doesn't play itself, like this video makes it out to do. You have to save the game after you've finished it, and then load up that file to see the epilogue and start chapter 12. The game is mean to cut to the credits after the last boss in chapter 11, so it's like that for everyone :)

I don’t think the silent protagonist route suited this game. If they do a sequel I hope it’s fully voiced.
I know this game has only been out for about 3-4 weeks or a month or something but I honestly believe we will get another game because one
1. Yousph is probably still alive he said that the astral plane is endless and that he is apart of the astral plane
2. To explain the lack of gates yoseph could become a god or something in the astral plane (he fused with so many legion fusions I feel like he would gain immense power I mean fucking Noah was huge and godly) and he may be limiting the attacks on the human world to plan in something else
3.we don’t know what or if the real akira is alive or not and if that one is the real one or not
This is kinda weak but I mainly believe that since yoesph May be alive he will strike against the human world

Okay I just want to point that if you choose to kill Akira the Axe legion revealing to be your father Max helps you end it but other than that nothing changes you will still get the epilouge as normal and credits are the same.
Other than I don't know why Akira offing their selfs is consider the true ending honestly it make way more sense to off them yourself and to finish it with your dad
so yah, Max and Akira are essentially Legions now, I hope thet platinum does something with that in a sequel

That was the real, original Akira. By killing him while he was fused with Noah, she was able to kill Noah since he was the only Akira fused with it. Noah needs a human soul fused with it to stay alive, and since Yoseph became one with the astral plane, he was no longer human.
Technically the story was from Yoko Taro, Platinum Games handled the gameplay aspect of Nier: Automata. Astral Chain however was them to my knowledge.

@@silentwolf1631that's incorrect. The twin you didnt choose in the beginning of the game will become akira. If you chose to play as the female twin, the male twin will be akira, and vice versa. The twin you chose to play as will be a silent protagonist, speaking aloud only at the end.

As far as I know there isn't much of a difference. If you choose to kill akira yourself the axe legion (which I assume is max) appears and kills akira instead of the arrow legion

Sort of. You can replay all of the levels, and in fact you can't get everything in your first run of them. There is a PC in the command center of the game where you can select a previous chapter to replay. So you can go through the whole game again with everything unlocked.

Has nothing to do with what gender you chose. To get that final cutscene you have to beat file 12, which is just a few chimera battles, which comes after the credits roll.

After the arrow hit him all I got was a blank screen and then the credits, not even an epilogue, how do you even get the true ending?

Either way the ending you choose, the epilogue wont be changed. So for me, this version of ending meant to be the true ending for the female protagonist, and the other one is for the male protagonist
Akira such a badly written and annoying character. Dies , comes back to life , dies comes back to life , dies again yet is back
