From a failure: Don't forget to do a 360 check before doing a straight reverse. Don't cut corners, not even a little bit, when doing a left turn. Don't let your gap be too big before deciding to do a left turn. You must yield to another car if there is a yield sign, even in a parking lot. Definitely helpful and thankfully, finally someone posts this in the BC area! Everyone’s always so nervous because they don’t know what to expect, but they this pretty much sums up the test and it should ease a lot of stress onto up and coming drivers (aka teenagers) before the road test.
The ICBC road test is about 22-25 minutes now, no 2 or 3 point turn required and identifying hazards is now done while driving down a residential street.

I failed my first N test in March but I did it again on June 9th last year and passed. The first place I went I got stuck with a brand new instructor so he didn’t like a lot of things but the second time I went the man could tell the difference between nervousness vs bad habits & I was driving a bmw and he had those kind of cars for years and could even tell when it was me still adjusting to my car. The first time I went I took the drive wise car but part of that trouble was, I became use to my car and the drive wise car seemed so foreign to me. 😅 I’ll be holding you in prayer to pass in February.

@@Lilofrench sorry for the late reply I’ve been on vacation for the past few days, ik you’ve already taken your road test and i hope you’ve passed, but what i did was staying calm and focused on the road and what my examiner was instructing me on where to go. if i didnt feel comfortable going 50 KM/H in a residential area I went 10 under so 40 and i did get marked for that, but she knew i was an already great driver just by judging my turns and lane positioning, so my best tip i could have given you if i saw your comment is to stay safe and don’t drive too safe or dangerous
Thank goodness I finally passed my Class 7 road test recently after 7 unsuccessful attempts in Surrey. I won my license on the 8th attempt. I was used to the roads in Surrey, that's why I did not choose another city to do the test. My advice for those of you that are taking the road test in Surrey is to avoid taking any risk that can result in a dangerous action or a violation, make sure to exaggerate your observation, and maintain speed to impress the examiners. Surrey has the strictest examiners than any other city in BC!
@@Frankfurtmann87 That's not very nice. Some people have really bad anxiety, and that can cause someone to freeze up while being tested. Some of the best drivers I know have had to take their test multiple times.
Now if only I could actually get a test appointment time slot. Every time i look no times are available.. wish schools could preform the tests as well. Icbc is so slow..

If I enter a street but there is no speed limit sign and it turn out that the street speed limit is 60 and I assume it to be 50 then is right to be at 50 until I see speed limit sign with 60 to pass icbc road test
If it's in the city limits the speed limit is 50 unless a sign says otherwise; if it's outside the city limits the speed limit is 60 unless a sign says otherwise.

@Insignificant Speck Of Dust I’m too short to see the mirrors no matter how much I adjust them. The blind spot mirrors help me actually see the lines and curbs and I drive just fine sooooo😇

Practice is most important. But if you want routes see Miks Stuff on you tube.
Watch for the pedestrians, and for the Lamborghinis, ferraris... the drivers are wild, and they love to speed up and cut drivers.
