I had this exact situation yesterday. The clients toner took too drab and I used a Malibu quick fix packet for 5 minutes and it took the toner out then retoned with .5 oz 9 GI .5 oz 9P 1 oz of crystal clear and 2 oz processing solution. Problem solved! When the hair has EXTEREME porosity Crystal Clear and Malibu quick fix are vital tools to use.
Hi my name is Nishi I am from South Africa and I did something similar on an Indian client and u know our hair is extremely different to get a perfect blonde without damage. I toned and it was a disaster but thanksfor this video it makes me realise we have to go through Trail and error. Thank u for this video.
Your AMAZING and I’m so grateful that I came across your videos. I’m not a hair dresser by trade but I have desired to do my own hair for sometime now and this Video is exactly what I needed to see! Thank you, thank you! Your truly a game changer in the life of hair! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh Jedi we've all been there and our super hero capes get put on we we get there eventually 😳 I could write a book on my colour "mishaps " over the years and believe me they would be a very interesting read🙄😉😫🤣 but educational vids like yours our saving us from repeat situations so thank you immensely 👏🏼 my hands were sweating watching but knew you'd throw on that "cape" to save that damsel in almost distress 😉🤣 brilliant as always James 👍
I learn so much from all of your videos! Thank you and wow, beautiful results! And thank you for sharing your formulas or your rationale for choosing them - so helpful!
So James did you 're do the tone? Looking back if you were there again would you just have left out the 9P?. Well all's well that ends well. Good save. Quick thinking saved the day. Well done. Thanks for the video.
When I’m worried about porosity and my color turning out I find that a protein foray helps me or pre art treatment before color. I believe it gives me a cleaner hair shaft to work with. Great job thinking it through. Love your videos and I’ve learned so much from you
I had a client whose front was darker than the back . So left the scalp bleach on longer there . In the end , the toner was perfect at the back but silver / blue in the front . I used the deep cleansing shampoo that you use before a Brazilian , in that area . It worked 90%. But the client had to go ( school kids to fetch ) she was happy , but did want that 10% to be gone .
This is why I absolutely adore this guy!!! James you are phenomenal every video you bring is so different and just amazing 💜💜
Love this mate. Keeping it real
Thank you Mate 👌🏻

Had that happen,
Now applying toner on the back of her head in the chair leaving sides and bang area for the cink.

Wouldn't you want to add a neutral color to the gold color to put the color back into the hair
As usual, thank you for sharing James.
