Greetings from Culver, Indiana, US of A. I grew up with feeder calves and chickens (Northern California). My son wanted hogs (swine). So we compromised and had lambs for 8 years until he went to college. I miss the woolly butts in the pasture. He also experimented with different breeds of chickens, ducks, and geese. I don't miss butchering poultry. My sons visited from Texas and Pennsylvania and they both made fun of me for watching you and Sandi Brock on TV. Love you, your family, and your lambies. USA sheep association decreed we use "lambs" instead of sheep to help throw off the stigma of "mutton". I am not sure, but I would guess lamb makes people think of posh dinners and mutton of immigrants huddling around a big pot and camp fire.
Wonderful footage. This video brings back many memories of my Dad. He was born in Scotland and came to Canada as a wee boy. Dad has passed now but I know he would have loved your channel. I know I do. Keep your videos coming.

I feel you with the seasickness. The shore is always a more than welcome sight. It is always amazing how quick it ends with that first step on land. Gotta admit you do get some amazing footage.. love watching your channel. I’ve been watching about a year now and it thoroughly enjoying it
What a wonderful video! Cammy, you have outdone yourself. The drone work was magnificent. I love the background music. The seals! You know, if you decide you need another vocation,, you can always do travel videos! ! Thank you for taking me places I'll never see in person!
Poor Cammy! Makes me sick watching the crossing, can't imagine being there 😵 Oh but what beautiful scenery. Absolutely awe inspiring! Thank you for tuffing it out!
Wow. That was a fantastic video, even seeing you throwing up. What a waste of those beautiful prawns. I admire the hard work you all go through for the sake and welfare of your live stock. Thank you everyone. X
Hey Cammie, I just love your content! Todays film was awesome, it’s amazing seeing these sheep living on the remote Scottish islands and the work it takes the farmers to get them there. You’re such a natural presenter (even without the sea legs). Thanks for the fun you bring to the sheep game and for highlighting other farmers and their love of their work.
Great video, Great channel. With Cammy tackling one of great questions of life head on “do sheep get seasick?” We might not know the answer to the question, but it was fun trying to find out.

Oh, God bless you, Cammy! You really took one for the team on the ride back. 🌊 🤢 Thank you for bringing us this wonderful footage! Such beautiful islands and wildlife.
Great to see the lads picking up the beached up things they find, shows how much they care for the great nature they are trying to make a living from. But at the same time extremely frustrating that it's a part of everyday life for them and not just a random event.
I watched this from a rather unique prospective. I was lucky enough to have been brought up at the farms in Inverness run by the Scottish Department of Agriculture. My Father was the Farm Manager in charge of 1200 Tups (Rams) and 250 Bulls on multiple farms, Knocknagael, Beechwood and Abercalder being the main ones, around Inverness, that were hired out to crofters all over the Highlands. I have always thought that was a scheme put together by very forward thinking individuals, great stockmen, all those years ago. This scheme allowed crofters to improve their stock with bloodlines they didn’t necessarily have the means to achieve by themselves. I often wonder how stories like you have told would have been in the Highlands without this scheme. Enjoyed the video, maybe the scheme I have just highlighted would be a good subject for someone like you to tell the story. So the knowledge of its legacy is not forgotten. The scheme is still going for Bulls but not now for Tups(Rams), I like to think it was a victim of its own success which was always they way it should be. Very much a give a man a fish story. I look forward to future releases.
Thanks for letting us know about this. Great way to improve the stock. I hope getting the bull's onto these islands was easier than these tups? 👍🏻🐃🐏🛥⛰️❤️
@@westzed23 Funnily enough they actually made a feature film about putting a bull to a fictitious Island called Duna which was suppose hence it was called “ The Duna Bull” it was shown in cinemas as far a field as New Zealand. It was filmed at Knocknagael and the North Coast of Sutherland. It was featured in a BBC documentary a few years ago in which my father was interviewed. In the film the bull swam ashore however at times bulls had to be craned on to ferries, so it was hard to get them to their destination at times but even harder to get them back lol.
@@westzed23 Your film made me also think how we got a few surprises in December as kids. We used to get parcels sent to the farm house, which as kids we used to initially excitingly rip into, thinking it was Xmas presents, only to get a bit of a Tup. The reason was if a Tup died on a crofters they were required to prove that the Tup was dead. So on one occasion we opened the box to find the full head of a Blackface Tup with a note that it broke its Jaw. Yep the jaw was broken probably in attempting to get ashore like on your film.
Oh Cammy what a ride! Poor guy, The video of the islands was amazing. They are so beautiful! I like my boats/ships with heavy stabliizers so this great view will be eyes only. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing such a fab video. Fantastic footage, what those farmers have to endure getting to and from the islands to look after the sheep. Sorry the weather wasn't kind.
Brilliant video so pleased you shared it with us can’t believe how calm the tups were they took it all in their stride think they knew they were going somewhere to have lots of fun with the ladies.
Thanks for sharing the work those men do on the Shiants. Such a beautiful spot but such hard work! Hauling those rams into that small boat was wild to watch. Great video like always. We can’t wait to see what’s coming next in your journey!
Have a giggle! Beautiful islands, boats bobbing like corks, sea getting a tad lively... Went into the kitchen and my sealegs are busy, rocking with the waves ... in Birmingham??!!! Oooops! Loved the views and the video, Cammy.
What lovely islands. I can't imagine how they handle lambing! Really professional video. (though I'm glad we get to see the raw footage on Patreon). You and your editor make a terrific team. Legend!
Cammy you're an awesome pilot! ✈️ That video footage just going up the cliffs and overlooking the sheep and countryside at the top was so cool! You could start another side business...you know...with all the spare time you have 🤣

Great video, Cammy! ❤😊Wow what hard work! Is the sea always that rough there? I’m so sorry you were sick! (I was sick like that for over a year with severe nausea & vomiting and saw many doctors & specialists. None could figure out what was wrong. Love to Lizzie, Jock & Angus (and of course Meg, Fern, etc!😂)❤
Ahh Cammy, bless you. I had the flu when we first started kayaking I thought I was a goner, sea sick, just bought the boats! I was sick for 3 more days so obviously it wasn’t that. I can’t see anyone off the street not getting sick in that. Brave lad. Thanks for the video!
Cammy, I first found you last year when you went to these islands. This trip had best photography ever. I'm going to leave it up land watch it again and again. I wish you had the time to do more of this kind of a real movie. 💖 Then tonight watched again with my husband. He loved it and wanted to look up the islands on google maps. Glad to see you and the shepherds get so many thumbs up.
Fantastic video Cammy! I really felt for you on the return trip. Had a similar crossing on the Channel when I was a teenager. Never again! I doubt even Scopoderm patches would work.
