- For patch 5.2 during the Shadowbringer's expansion, here is all job's level 3 Limit! Starting in order of the tanks, healers then dps.
A lot of people miss the minor animations these LBs have, so one day i was curious and wanted to see them for myself. I hope someone else sees and shares some details they never noticed with their favorite LB!

Notes for next time; a video I plan for 6.0/6.1
=Possibly a secondary/better angle for PLD
-SMN needs to have a left over target in the field (like BRD and NIN did)
-NIN could use a different angel for the ninjutsu part of the LB.
-Maybe turn off LB effects for jobs like RDM/NIN for better visual of after poses.
Just leaving a comment here so that anyone seeing this in the future will know that I am already seeking a way to improve next time and have a better idea planned for it!

@@STOICZZZ I did BLM in the Hades Normal Mode fight. Funnily enough I think that is my favorite arena/job combo for this, and the only one I got on the first try lol

@@STOICZZZ Yeah, it's Gpose, once we got to the last phase I got the boss down slightly and them used the LB3, I was also careful not to use any other action/emote. Once the fight ended I waited for everyone to leave the area then went into gpose looking for a spot I could look up into the void at, without the exit glowing in the picture

@animegx45 its a Chidori from Kakashi. Kakashi the lightning enhanced punch does damage to enemy but its the burst thrust that does that. The aftermath is what you see as explosion but is actually the afterimage of the flash from the thrust.
The final heaven explosion/dash is from the FF7 Tifa Final Heaven Limit Break. She does the same thing, but in FF7 she does a few dash/punches before that

I still wish dark knight was a dps class it makes no sense lore wise for him to be a tank it just seems like SE made it a tank job arbitrarily because of the lack of tank options at the time and not because it would be fun or made any sense. The concept of a dark knight was always pain is my strength yet in game mechanics it's nothing like the lore of the job. Samarai and dark knight from a lore perspective should be the opposite of what they are.

@@RaidenKaiser i can see where you're coming from when you consider that in older games the dark knight was more of a dps than a tank, but it really isnt about pain. In the older games it was just straight up the element of darkness, not much there, but in XIV its about emotions and protecting the weak. In the first drk job quests you do use your pain and anger, but that just makes people look at you like you're an out of control freak, and you have to learn how to control that. And the lore is very much about protecting the people whe cant protect themselves

SCH LB3 was always strange to me since you never notice it when doing the battle itself, but when I looked at it in the g-pose it was probably one of my favorites on the list
After being DRG main for like one year i just realized out LB3 is a projection of Midgardsomr, and that's so freaking cool
And the pose a DRG strikes afterwards is simply cool 😎

First time I used ast lb after maining sch the entire time I was so pissed I had been missing out on such a pretty lb.
Fun fact, canonically you do the same when playing a card. The lore isn't that you're just drawing power from a constellation when buffing someone, you are literally summoning that constellation to the battlefield to buff them.

Well, the concept is okay but it could be improved. Like, make him call down Orbital Strike or something like Black Mage summons Meteor, it doesn't really have to make sense.
Because satellite is iconic.
The issue is that it’s a straight line, not an AoE

Every job's lb has its own style and machinist's is clean, composed and efficient
Funny that I've used some of these limit breaks but there are so many special effects from other raid members and the tunnel vision from stress usually keeps me from seeing them in their entirety.
That’s what I lament about FF in MMO, and particularly now in this much faster age. FFXI had abilities with lengthy as well as minuscule casting times; originally concurrent with a real need to coordinate big attacks in a specific chain to maximize impact on the enemy. As such, each person in the chain was waiting to see the previous animation. It meant, like the single player games before it, that you had time to focus on their beautiful animations. FFXI has changed with the times, though, and many of those important chained attacks are no longer a necessary mechanic, with battle progressing much faster and the animations all happening on top of each other
You’re not given the time to enjoy the animations and, like you say for FFXIV, there’s often too much else going on to be able to see one particular attack, no matter how big.
There is the option to disable rendering of others’ animations, in FFXIV, but there’s a trade off to that
I am not a caster DPS player, but Meteor will forever be timeless. Such a badass LB3

Recommendation for next time: the Blue Mage "we have LB3 at home" combo
Off-guard -> Moon Flute -> Tingle -> Whistle -> Final Sting
BLU has LB3,4,5,6 and even 7 by default with no stupid meter needed lol
this is LB 10, it KOs the caster but is effectiveness knows no bounds.
saw a dancer lb for the first time yesterday, got distracted cos it was so pretty to look at lmao.
Ironically it was Dancer and Red Mage who were the two who made me most curious before making this. There are so many good LBs out there!
Dancer and Astro have the 2 coolest animations for their LB3s and you can't change my mind.
You can now google the sage and reaper lb3s. I really love the sage one...

SAM should've had a post effect after sheathing the sword, looks kinda incomplete.
I'm not trying to be anti-weeb here, love the cliche but it is still that; a cliche xD. I think it looks great.
Yeah i feel like it should've had a final slice after sheathing the sword, like a slice going through the joints of the boss like showing that like we cut off every limb on the boss and then the arms and legs fall off slightly afterwards, you know what i mean.
So glad you had two views of the scholar one. I had to use it during crown of the emaculate and couldn't see too much from the back (while panicking from the near full party wipe that's preceded it). Ngl, felt pretty badass being able to raise the whole party with a shower of feathers.
Also reminder for other healers to have it on their hotbar. The WHM didn't have it on hers so we would've been screwed if I didn't have it either.
If I could change anything about the video it would be to do a second view of WHM, PLD and SMN LBs, but its actually the SCH LB3 that made me want to zoom in on all the jobs LBs!
I main WHM and during SB played all 3 healers equally, meaning I used a lot of LB3s. I never understood why the delay was soooo long, so I wanted to zoom in and see whats actually happening. It's always a nice little detail that makes each job a little more personal..
And Yes I know exactly what you mean, normally if I play dps, or even once as healer during Alexander, my healers, or tanks don't have LB on their hotbar because they've never needed it before. It's always important to keep LB3 on the hotbar just in case. You never know when even a tank LB3 might save someone from a raidwide and help get a clear!

Precisely! I think I heard of a few trials that require a tank LB3 too on top of it.
Also, just did a LB3 as a RDM and holy crap it looked amazing from my character's POV. I love how much detail SE put into it.
I deeply appreciate this for the RDM 3 bar LB, because the first and only time I've been able to do it, it was extremely hard to see and my party shouted MY EYES!!!! Probably my favorite LB next to BLM.

As a healer, it's so satisfying to lb3 and rez most of the party during the raid, effectively saving the day!
I wish healers did this more often I usually see everyone ignore lb making 1 of the dps take initiative.

Honestly my favorite thing to do as a healer. Feels good going from potential wipe to full strength at the push of a button.
here's a healer lb3 fun fact i learned during my first run of the ivalice raids: *it has a range of effect and that range cannot reach from one corner to the other in many alliance raid boss arenas.*
in hindsight it feels like it should be obvious, of course it has an effective range like every other spell, but damn it still punched me in the solar plexus to be laying dead on the ground in the corner with a bunch of other poor sods, the battle having drifted to the opposite corner, and after a healer lb3 we sad bastards in that one corner were *still* dead lmfao
Yes, earning that mass rez from completing 3 bars and turning the tide of a fight is truly a remarkable moment in any battle. LB3 healers got it the best. except that RDM one. thats just obscenely flashy lol

I love that the WHM lb3 while not as flashy as AST is a callback to Aerith and it makes me so nostalgic
yeah, it's great, I really need to do a re-recording of all of these and add reaper and sage. I've just been so busy in irl. I can maybe get a better picture of the staff, as well as do healer LB 1/2 since those ones are directly named after her limit breaks as well!

I think the close-ups are nice too, I never saw SCH and other jobs character animations, because I don't play them, so I could only see effects if someone uses them.
It amazes me how many, even experienced, players don't seem to know limit breaks exist and never use them. I've been in a few really close battles and would be be yelling, "Use limit break!" and after we wiped get questions like "Limit what?" How?"
Someone told me to use it and I got so excited to use mine because as a red mage I get to blind people as well
To be honest it is completely the games fault, should have just teach you to use it at start

tbh i only found out about it at level 50. the bar is way up on the top left corner, so i never noticed it lol. I'd hear the sound effect for when it's full, and that always confused me about what it was.
@@luriddream They teach you about it in the Hall of the Novice. The game literally tells you to do these tutorials. But most people just close the window and do not bother.

Yeah I'd agree. Unfortunately, when I zoomed out on it, there was no explosion like there is when it's in combat, so it looked a little bland. I'll definitely note it for next time.

Almost killed my bunker raid when I did red mage lb3 (no one else wanted to us it despite tank yelling for it)

Gunbreaker limit break level 3 should be Renzohuken, they can make the ability defensively by stats while it looks like you re DPSing

They do more damage becouse IS single target both caster and range are aoe
@@kikofernandez9184 yeah, but it’s very rare to need it an aoe situation. It sucks that basically on melee ever gets the chance to actually use it.

@@fade6355 - Melee DPS LB has the most attack power to compensate for the fact that it's single-target only. While it's true that an AOE LB situation almost never occurs, it is what it is. Anyway, that being said, I use the ranged and magic LB all the time -- it's rare that anyone else in my Roulette PUGs can be arsed to do it.
The fact that the white mage's lb is just a simple pray gets in my nerves
It's to pray the sins away for over dpsing and letting the party die causing you to use it in the first place. :p
On a more serious note though, while I like it, I am sad at how basic it is over say, Scholar's LB.

Same, it's literally just a reference to Aerith, the staff is even hers. Unless it turns out that Haedalyn is future FF7/10 they really could have done... anything else.
Ninja has the coolest cast time, but the attack just falls flat on its face compared to the rest
Dragoon and Dark Knight are my favorites.
Sad that such flashy moves exist, but we are rarely able to actually use them, Tank LB is nonexistent, Healer LB is panic button and even DPS LB 3 doesn't happen that often. Not to mention how another DPS is probably going to use it before you can. Not to mention^2 how you use it in raids, where you can't actively look at and enjoy the animation in most cases.
Yeah that's why I tried to put this together, quickly, mistakes were made for some jobs. But I learned what I could do better and hope that I can do it better next time!
I was tempted in doing an "all x job animations" for all of the weapon skills/auto attacks, but I am not sure how much interest that'd bring in.

FF14 really needs a change on the limit break system, like a different limit break for every person, it sucks being a tank and not be able to use them, even it's a nerfed version of them.
