You could never assume what the most important lesson is that I learnt about story telling. Everyone probably has this one friend who is just an amazing story-teller everyone likes to listen to and by that he always leads the conversations. One day he was telling a story about an actually not really interesting topic. However, he had an ace up his sleeve: No one could be so incredibly good in building up tension as him. There was something in the way he told that made everything sound just unimaginably important and I really admire him for that. Hence, everyone was listening carefully to every single word he said. This truly amazes me every single time. The funny thing is though how the story ended: The punch line was literally a disappointment. It was neither funny nor exciting in any way. For a short moment I felt frustration and I thought it would lead to an awkward silence. I was so wrong: Everyone was as excited as before and everyone totally enjoyed that story. No one seemed to care about the actual content. The lesson I learned: The only thing that counts is HOW you tell a story and HOW you build tension (or if even build it at all). An actual interesting story is nice to have, but really of secondary importance.
I think everybody has a story about their most embarrassing moment: I was never considered popular back in middle school. I was a short skinny Asian guy with a bowl cut and for some reason, i always wore P.E. shorts everywhere I went. However I was pretty funny so this one time the cool kids, including my crush, asked me if I wanted to get dinner. Fuck yeah! This was my moment to my crush how drop dead sexy I am.After we ate I went off to the bathroom, entered a stall, dropped both my shorts and underwear and let out a satisfied sigh as I relieved myself. Now often times when I pee, I also fart since you're pretty much pushing the same muscle, except this was no ordinary fart. This was a full on dookie and it smelled like a rotting fish market. I looked down in horror to see a mushy brown pile resting in my underwear, but that's no problem. I simply threw my undies behind the toilet and free balled it. Later, we were walking back to our neighborhood and my crush had no idea that just 15 minutes ago I browned my undies. But there was something else I was worried she would notice. Freeballing in P.E. shorts means that my girl to be would be able to see the outline of my Downstairs David and it didn't help that the wind was blowing against me, pressing my shorts against my body. And being a teenager and a kinky ass dude in general that turned me on ;). Soon I pitched a solid 3-inch tent in my pants and the one girl who I treasured the most looked down and said in a classic valley girl voice "Eww what the fuck David why do you have a boner". Needless to say, I soon transferred schools. The moral of the story is... Don't trust a fart.
this video reminded me of an old friend that was really really good at storytelling, when i was in midle school, this friend of mine was always with like a crowd of people in front of him. i didn't look to much into it at the time but one day someone just asked "how is he so good?" and then i listened to what he was saying, turns out every single day he told like a review on his own way about something that hapened the day before. the thing is, he was almost a standup comedian because he used a lot of humor in relatable scenarios. thanks for reminding me, maybe i'll contact him... if i ever remember his name
I was talking to someone who is known as the guy who can capture an entire room's attention with his stories. Some of his tips on storytelling include: Starting with a hook line like "You could never understand the absurdity of what I'm about to tell you." Adding conflict besides just telling a story about something that happened. Don't laugh or smile before anyone else. Spread out whispers and pauses throughout your story to make them more suspenseful. These tips alone have helped me become a much better storyteller. The one thing he says that contradicts one of your points is he says you should add lots of detail to put an image into the person's mind, even if it is unnecessary. My question is, do you think that adding unnecessary detail could make you a more effective storyteller in some cases? Either way, I hope those other tips above could help someone.
The Fut I'd say details are fine in a one on one conversation, but when you're in a group you should just leave them out because it can make you take too long to finish your story and people's minds start paying attention to something else. Of course when you have a great hook and have peoples attention and you're known as a great storyteller, you could throw in details, but I think it's rather despite the many details his story's are good, than because of the details
The Fut I think you can use both tips at the same time, you can be imprecise about certain things and accurate about others, if they do improve the story. For example, if you're talking about somebody you met that wore weird clothes you can describe every single detail about their appearance and if you do it well it may be funny or a good tension maker
lazonico9 that's what he says in the video. Tell the details that matter to the story and enhance it, but leave out the details that don't matter and will just make your story too long
I am a terrific verbal storyteller, but I can't get it on paper. For some reason, that magic moment of thought disappears when I start to write my thoughts. So like everything else I find challenging or something I cant do I find solutions. SO I hired a writer to listen to my stories and get it on paper. The more she heard, the faster she wrote. All going great RIGHT? Well, at first swear I thought shes all into it. She had very powerful facial expressions, I was thrilled I thought she was so impressed. Until she put the pen down closed her book and said, Lady, you don't need a writer you need a PHYSIATRIST, and that's the last I heard of her. well, there goes my story. The End
The reason I've been waiting for the video. Sometimes I have a tendency to tell a story an attempt to make a person laugh or make myself sound more social. I begin getting everyone else attention start talking and talking and before you know it everyone not paying attention. And I can't figure out why. So I came to this video to make some improvements so I can prove everyone wrong and be a good story teller.
Ever been close to death? I was around 5 and we live in a two-story apartment. I always liked to slide down the ramp to get down faster but, one time I was in a rush and I ended up hanging with my fingertips being the only thing that held me. I felt the emptiness under my feet and the drag on my shoulders. I didn't scream or yell, I stayed quiet and steady. I pushed my feet against the wall and pulled my self over the ramp and slid down to breakfast.
I believe story telling is a really important tool and it actually saved my life once. When I was traveling by myself in Barcelona through one of the dark streets at a very late hour I noticed two people following me. I kept going faster and faster, looking over my shouler every few seconds. And they were still there... I reached a dead end and turned around, I had to face the two. What happened next was unbelievable. I am sure that they are still there trying to solve the riddle I made up on the spot for them.
I love the advice you gave on storytelling because it shows your audience how words can impact the human mind. There's this anime/manga called Buko No Hero Academia aka My Hero Academia where the author constantly evokes chills and goosebumps with every episode, chapter, and cliff hanger I experience. It centers around a character who lives in a society where 80% of the population has mutations called quirks. He's Dream is to become a Hero like his Idol "All Might." However, the main character does not possess a quirk which results with him constantly being made fun of his dream. His friends, mother, and even the man he looks up to says that he should give up, but he doesn't. The passion within him refuses to go out because our main character has all the moral qualities of being a hero. When he sees a friend in trouble, he unconsciously rushes to save him despite the fact this same friend was a major source of his torment. As a result of his bravery, his idol grants him a strong quirk to fight villains. Sadly, the quirk doesn't help him with his spit game when talking to girls. (He might need to watch your channel for this). Overall, the author inspires me and many others not to give up on their dreams and got beyond their limits. Ps. Both this anime/manga and your channel inspired me not to settle to be average which is why I plan to create a big TH-cam channel someday, write a superhero novel , and try to get better at drawing. Also, anyone feel free to critic my story/summary as hard as possible. I welcome it >)😼
One Tribe Nerd Tv Okey, it is "Boku" not "Buko". All else was cool. Also do you want to talk about your story/novel. I write myself when I can put myself writing otherwise I just think about it. I am writing fantasy story, it started as a joke but now I have been more serious about it.
As a child, I loved to climb trees and hanging out there all day. This, to the terror of my family members who were always worried about me falling asleep and hurting myself. No one understood why I wasn’t just playing on the ground like any normal kid. Why did I have to climb that high? I was having endless fun, and it was the genuinely childish kind. My fun and motivation was being able to watch without being seen, hide in plain sight - and surprise people. A game I played was throwing a piece of fruit or a twig and count the seconds until the person on the ground figured out what was happening. It always amazed me to see how people forgot about everything higher than their own heads. Even though they knew about my hiding place, they still took ages to find me! Now that I’m older, I think there’s a more general and philosophical angle to forgetting everything that happens above one’s head. And I wish I had a tall enough tree nearby to play.
The Beach is One of the Most Wonderful Places on Earth Let me explain... You see, back when I was 6 years old, visiting the beach was a common thing we used to do back in my country. This involved gathering with family and friends and spending a wonderful time sharing at the beach with each other. Whether it was sharing food or just enjoying the serenity of the white sand the beach offers, we used to do it together. This always made the experience so much fascinating to witness as we would feel joined together in communion. Not to mention the lovely view the beach offers as well! Whenever i go to the beach, i get to see a different life than out there in the city. I am able to connect more with nature and experience what is really like to connected with it. I can see a variety of living organisms from the marine monsters all the way to the tall palm trees. This truly are amazing things that can simply be enjoyed by just observing. Looking at a seagull fly by looking for some delicious food that it can snap on helps to strengthen that connection. This is because they are individuals just like human beings, they need food to survive and by admiring such little things help us realize how we are all so much alike. Even though we do different things, together we bound around essential things like food, water, and sharing emotions just that in a different story. So going out to the beach for me isn’t just about the waves, the flammable sun breaking through your skin, or even the eating flesh mosquitos. Is about understanding that inside the beach there is a different lifestyle that we rarely tend to admire. One that is completely different from our cities. One that expresses feelings the same way we do and one that just needs a little bit of attention. The beach is truly a wonderful place to go to and definitely a place where you can connect with nature. The beach is a top tier lifestyle!
I would say there is extremely small amount of sensical content, which brings interest. Seems like there is too much water if you know what I am saying.
You know, the structure of this video reminds me of the first time I went to painting class. So I go to this place, I walk maybe an hour or two to get there. It's sunny, I'm exhausted, dehydrated and pissed. On my way, I'm thinking ''This better be fucking good''. So I meet my teacher, you can see she is experienced as anything and we get to painting. i decide I'm gonna be painting a boat. The thing is, there were so many kids around in the studio and it was so chaotic... kids jumping and dancing and hitting each other. So as I'm mixing some paint, this kid gets shoved into me and my palette with all the paint flies off my hand and makes a mess out of everything. When the teacher saw this, she started crying so fucking much it made me feel sad for HER. Man, I'm telling you, I'm never going to be jealous of people who have to work with children. EVER!
Setup: You know Improvement Pill, your little bean pill guy in the beginning of every video reminds me of my last experience with kids. And boy, was it dreadful... *insert the same content and resolution here* Would this be a more relevant set-up? haha. Thanks for replying by the way, I realize you said you would, but still, I appreciate it hehe
This story sucks for the following reasons: U didn't establish how the "structure of the video" relates to ur painting class experience. It was a weak intro with no link to the end. The dialogue didn't contribute to the resolution whatsoever. U didn't clarify whether u were satisfied with the class at the end, but went on a totally different tangent regarding how u felt bad for the teacher. Also, why TF u were the only adult student there? Why did u persist to attend the class after walking hours? The tension is simply dismissed altogether, rather than weaved into a cohesive plot.
My dad and I have a thing that every year we go to Yellowstone National Country Park. Normally we bring all the required equipment to scare away brown bears as Yellowstone is a heaven for brown bears but this day June 4th 2015 we didn't; thank God. We were stuck in a really bad fog climbing up a mountain and we had lost the path. In front of us a brown bear appeared, at first we were startled however the bear seemed docile. The bear ignored us, continuing it's decent down the mountain. Lost, scared and in the presence of a bear. What would you do? Well, we did what any normally people would do. We followed the bear down the mountain. At a distance of course. At the bottom of the mountain, the bear turned a corner. We followed but it was gone. The only distinctive feature of the bear we remember was it's large dark brown streak on the side of it's back but this bear possibly saved our lives. And that is why every year since then we still go to the same mountain in Yellowstone National Country Park in search of the bear. The bear that saved our lives. -Thomas Connor March 2017
When my last school year began, I was very excited to study, as I am a person who loves to study and introvert myself, I do not get out of the house unless I have to go out, at the beginning of the school year I was very enthusiastic, I used to read seven hours a day and my parents were proud of him, and after a few weeks, I felt bored of studying for a long time, so I decided to play football after school, and I loved playing football, so my bikes started to go down until I was dismissed from school, and then I entered into sadness and deep regret. But I realized later that this event changed the way of thinking and I learned new values and principles, and thank you for reading❤
Okay, I have to ask, are you teaching at a college or school somewhere? I'm a part-time college professor, and I actually watch your videos to sharpen up my skills. They are really well done.
Here's my try. True story, by the way. So a few weeks ago me and my buddies decided to grab some weed and take a ride. I got my driver's license just a few weeks ago and I was driving. We all smoked some, got quite baked and decided to go cruise around the city. I got to a quite place, no cars, no people, an open road and a lot of snow, so I decided to drift a bit. Keep in mind that it was my first time trying to drift and my tires were very slippery. I was going quite fast down the hill and pulled my hand brake, I thought it would make me slide just a little, but I ended up spinning 360 and almost sled into a pit near the road. We were so freaking scared, yet laughing so freaking hard, probably because we were high. Needless to say, I was driving for the rest of the day especially carefully.
True story: You know whenever I go anywhere with my friend David, he'll always find some new way to embarrass me in public. So this time it was at in n out. The whole track team decided to go to in n out after practice and David and I are towards the front of the line. I order and get my usual burger, but as I walked away I hear a cashier's voice saying "YOU WANT WHAT????" Apparently David had asked the cashier for a potato. Why he wanted a potato instead of fries I may never know. I guess he was just feeling a little more natural than usual that day. As David holds up the line the manager comes down and David repeats his desire for the raw patato. The manager says "I guess since the costumers always right?" And as he turns around to fetch the patato David says "oh I don't want one now I was just thinking for later, but I'll take a double double with fries though" I never did find out if he ever went back but I couldn't ever look at him quite the same after that.
All this talk of tension reminds me of a time when I became so tense i nearly broke my own arm! I was hanging out with my friends at a lake surrounded by cliffs. Everyone was jumping from the cliffs into the lake. I decided to man up and give it a shot. I climbed to the top and became really nervous. Everyone was watching, so i didn't want to back out. I jumped and plunged into the water below. I didn't feel it then, but my arms had become instantly bruised all over. I was so tense that i'd forgotten to keep my arms by my sides. They had slapped the surface of the water horizontally - causing the bruises. I later learned that hitting water from that height is akin to hitting concrete. I was lucky to get away with a few bruises - to say the least!
This is 7 months old, but just wanted to do the exercise to apply this concept somewhere :) Speaking of neighbours, we are quite friendly with most of our neighbours. We often buy each other gifts. One of our closest neighbours, David, is slightly disabled with a little difficulty in moving. One time, my Dad was on a trip to China, and he wanted to buy something for our house, and he bought an extra for David. It was one of those electronic doorbells. After some figuring out, we installed the doorbell for both ourselves and for David. But you know what happened after a few days? David returned the doorbell complaining. We were confused as it worked with ours. I mean we even demonstrated it, which went :"Dinggg Donggg". It turned out, his doorbell was faulty, and it "Dinged" out of nowhere for no reason. My Dad was embarrassed and sorry. And we imagined, with David's movement difficulty, he also had to endure the shrilling doorbell "Dinggs" in the middle of night. I just couldn't stop laughing at this scene in my head and at my Dad's unease who had thought he was helping.
Fantastic video! You could easily have ended it after you explained the 3 steps to a great story, but I really liked that you included two examples and analysed them as well. That really helps us learn!
I'm actually a writer and go by these rules. Though I do write it in character script form though. I'm a huge anime fan and watched tons of anime that I already learned how to draw people in. Us Americans especially like violence, romance, drama, sex and comedy. I learned that drama is one the biggest ones people are interested because they always wanna know what happens next. Love your videos man!
This is the story of how me and one of my semi roomies met. I was in a very vulnerable state in my life. The girl I had been looking out for as a really close friend was starting to make my life hell. I was very social, but lately so entangled with her mess that I was scared to meet and talk to anyone new. I was in a friend's room when this person entered the room, he was thin as a toothpick with a jacket that was still not his size. If he elbowed you it would be like a spear going through for sure. He entered the room with this grin and just started to vibe with songs, eventually giving his own recommendations( Let me down slowly and umbrella). Few days pass and I'm at one of my all time low. I go out for a lonely walk to clear my head and around food stalls in campus I see the guy again, with many of my known friends. They see me and i go over to say hi and ended up listening to them for an hour. The boys left leaving me and him at what point we get properly introduced. We sat in parking lot and discussed the instances when we had met before and in 30 mins I felt like I knew him forever, just forgot it due to all the extra noise. I shared my bad trip about the girl, turns out he was going through same situation and we bonded over how girls simply don't understand the type of friendship guys think of. We started listening to music both of us telling what song they think of when they think of girls of their dream (mine was perfect, his was night changes). We ate biryani, named a dog love and watched him run off after he got some food from us, Labeling that love is dogshit. We didn't talk for rest of semester because both of us had bad habit of feeling insecure of calling someone first. Been two semester and guy is like a brother to me... Although bit of a jerk
Here's a story. Totally fictional for the sake of this exercise. --- So one lazy day in college, I decided to head home early. I bid my classmates adieu for the day and head straight out. It was raining that day, so I had my umbrella up as I walked towards the bus stop. I waited for the bus to arrive beneath the open air for a bit until a woman in the same uniform as my college came by to seek shelter beneath a tree - which of course, didn't do much to help. She was soaking wet when I threw a couple of curious glances at her. As it stood, I was the one with the umbrella and she's the one still getting hit by the rain. As I was about to turn to her to offer shelter under the umbrella, she was the first to speak up. It was awkward at first considering I mentioned that I was just about to invite her under my umbrella. We conversed for a bit and then I inquired if she was heading home too. Apparently, she was heading to class so I offered to escort her to college. It was quite a walk from the college to the bus stop so then I decided that we use a tricycle transport to shelter us from the rain and at the same time get to our destination faster - of course, I paid for the ferry. Once we reached the college, we found shelter in a secluded spot. There she opened her backpack and pulled out a towel to dry herself as much as possible. I was just about to leave when she asked me to help her dry her back. I felt awkward at the invitation but I did it anyways, while engaging in small talk - college stuff. After that, she had called one of her classmates to come by and to escort her to class and provide a set of dry sports uniform she had on her. When the classmate arrived, I bid her farewell and went on my way. I realized, as I pass beneath the threshold of the college gate, "Goddamnit... I forgot to ask for her number!" And I never saw her again.
Well, the weather was the cause of the situation and the setup was pretty much a fateful encounter with a woman. But hey, who am I to say no to constructive criticism? Thanks everyone for taking a read of this little writing exercise I whipped up.
@IP Yeah, I figured that was the case. Went into the exercise straight in to see how much I can follow your presented structure by intuition but I suppose my writer's habits got into it and resulted in something not really said verbally. It is rather detailed. Hah.
I really enjoyed how you shared that story of your roommate who ended up hurting himself with his pocketknife. Last year my good friend and I were hanging out it is room where there is this wooden stool that he's just throwing his pocket knife into repeatedly while balancing the stool on his leg. So I said to him, "hey man, you probably shouldn't do that." And my buddy, in his glorified confident stayed, responds, "dude, chill out. I'll be fine!" Can you imagine what happened immediately afterwards? I hear a muffled *Thunk* followed by him screaming out "FUCK!" I look over at my friend and I see the knife is partially hanging out of his leg. About 20 minutes later we're sitting in the hospital waiting room so he can get stitches. My friends sometimes do the stupidest things, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Here's a true story from my own life. As a kid in school I was bullied for years, and eventually when I hit puberty I was very shy. Especially around girls. I felt like I was uninteresting, and I felt like nobody would want to be around me. My self esteem was pretty bad. I was very insecure, and I started acting a role that I thought I would have to play in order for others to be interested in me. I tried very hard to fit whatever group I was in. I did this for years. But eventually I came across this article online that told of some nurse who had been working in an elderly house. The nurse had collected a list of things that people had been sorry about on their deathbeds. One of the things hit me pretty hard. It was "I wish I had had the courage to be myself more often, and hadn't cared so much what others thought of me". When reading that statement, I could suddenly see how it had applied to me in my life. So I got annoyed, and vowed I would start acting according to my will more often, instead of trying to please others. I can't begin to tell you how much good that decision had brought me. It has made me prosper in my professional life, because I am not afraid to say I don't know something, and will ask for help early. I have met some of the most interesting people, and had great discussions with unexpectedly nice people, because I am not as afraid of showing I am passionate about things. Being rejected still hurts as much as it did back when I was more shy, but now it's balanced by a deep, strong joy that comes from knowing that I alone am living my life. So each day I try to think being laughed at is not that bad in the end. After all, it's my life! Mine! 💪😁
I know I'm a little late to the party, but wanted to share my story too. I'm telling it as if I'm speaking to a live audience which is why I include physical actions. When I was sixteen my high school took on an overnight field trip to a densely wooded camp. After our day of activities my classmates decided to play manhunt. My team was the first to be hunted. It was early in the first game that I encountered two hunters. They were coming straight towards me and a tree blocked my exit. With nowhere to run I pressed my back against the tree, shut my eyes and hoped they wouldn’t notice me. To my great fortune they ran right past me and I realized I had a powerful advantage: I could hide in the shadows of the trees. This knowledge helped me get to base unnoticed every game my team was the hunted and reminded me to be thorough when we were the hunters. After my team and I had won every game I decided I was less interested in winning the next game and more interested in having a little (short pause, wide grin) fun. I found a tree casting a dense shadow, hid, and waited. Time felt slower, but I was patient as I imagined how much fun I would have implementing my mischievous plan. Finally, I saw two silhouettes approaching. Despite being the hunted I felt like a lion prepared to pounce on his unsuspecting prey. They came closer, and closer, until finally the moment arrived. (Jumps to the side as if jumping out of shadow and screams) “Ahhhhhhh”!!! I only take a glance to appreciate the expression of shock on their faces before sprinting towards the base, dodging trees left and right until I heard “Adam!” I look behind me and find a hunter hot on my trail. Clearly it didn’t take him long to recover from the shock. I hadn’t intended to win, but I was so close to base. I could have it all if I just kept running. And so I ran, getting closer and closer. I escaped the woods. The car was in sight. I stretched out my hand and then (pause) I felt a tap on my back. I’d been tagged. I was so close to the car when it happened that couldn’t slow down fast enough and crashed into the car so hard I was thankful I didn’t cause a dent. I lost the match, but it was all worth it. I scared the crap out of my classmate, and the guy who was walking with him was a teammate who’d been caught. He thought what I did was hilarious and shared the story with my classmates. It was a fun night! I'm open to criticisms all around, but the thing I'm least satisfied with is my last paragraph. I'm not sure talking about my teammate adds anything to the story. Additionally, I'm not satisfied by the last sentence. I added it to give a sense of finality, but it seems too cliche.
True story: Back in my childhood, I had a bully. Not a normal one, it was a Dog. There used to be a lane I needed to cross in order to reach to my grandparents. It was a tight lane, no cars could pass. While walking one day, I saw it. Came directly at me. Fortunately I had my big brother with me. I hid behind him. The dog went from the side without any affect. Ohh gosh, it's done, it won't hurt again. The dog literally came a bit back and did one of the loudest bark. I almost dropped my belongings. An evil sparkling eyes and a smile just frowned on his face. In a split second he continued walking his walk. From then the fight was on. I started to plan learning to drive and get him honked at least 50 times. But a better thing happened. I never saw him again. His attitude must have got him killed.
My story..... Did I tell you about the time I changed my life drastically It was when I started watching TH-cam videos by improvement pill, I learnt so much and I really felt like my brain was getting sharpened, once I was walking in the street and my neighbor saw me from far as I was getting closer to her she said my walking posture had completely changed and I looked more taller and composed, I thanked her and we parted. From that day I realized that there was some positive changes in my life and I was more calm and composed. I think that ever since I started doing meditation as instructed by the improvement pill my composure, how i carried myself and how I reacted to certain situations changed for the better. I say its all thanks to the improvement pill for bringing improvement into my life. I don't know where I would be without meditation.
Being a cross country runner, you get to see some crazy shit. There was this one time, when we were running and my friend Tim yells, "Hey look, it's a deer!" Deer are very rare around here, especially so close to the city. We all stop in the middle of the run and just stare at it. Then, we decide to start running again and there is ANOTHER DEER. We continue running, and see like three more deer which is totally unheard of. Half a mile down the road, we pass a guy wearing a neon jacket and hunting rifle walking up the street toward where the deer are! All of us know what this meant, and one of oh guys tells him, "We saw a bunch of deer that way" and points in the opposite direction of where we saw them. If we hadn't stopped him maybe we wouldn't still have this deer problem!
Thanks a ton Improvement pill. you are extremely helpful. Alright here is my story: I once went on a boy scout trip with the craziest bunch of troop guides. we were all divided into different cooking patrols, so around each meal we split up to start cooking our food. during breakfast one of the patrols guides was helping one patrol cook oatmeal, and you wouldn't believe how he messed it up. He thought that he was supposed to pour all the water in the pot with the oat meal and it ruined the whole meal. when the scoutmaster walked over to the cooking stations he said to the guide "and just what in the world are you cooking" the guide replied by saying "I'm cooking oat meal" "well then why does it look like you cooking soup" "because I'm cooking oat meal" "thats not how you cook oat meal. I thought you were supposed to be a guide." at this point the guide looked like confused, and he was blank faced. its pretty funny how such clueless people get into leadership positions.
I'm about to tell you a story of hope and love. So here's the thing: one day I'm walking on the street heading home, when suddenly a stranger stops me and says: - Hey, do you have a moment? Of course i had a moment, so i just stopped and looked at her curiously. - Can you help me? My cat just stuck on the the tree and i can't do anything about it. - Sure - said poor me, because I didnt know what the hell I was supposed to do, I was bad at climbing to trees. Anyway, I just started to climb up to the tree as I could and hoped for the best. After a bit of struggling, I managed to get up there, but the cat wasn't too friendly and even jumped right off of the tree. It scared me so much that I fell off of the tree as well! She took care of me while I wasn't awake. In the end we married and still have a great time together, so single guys you should always know, if a stranger asks you to help her get the cat off the tree, say yes!
Hey, there, I'm gonna talk a little about myself and my experiences throughout my life. As you can see, my name is Riyaaz Basha. When I was back at my home town, I used to be a depressed person, I was like, "Man.... why don't I have a single girlfriend. I need to find one to make myself happy". I talked about this to my friends. They said, "Dude, it's not like what you think, you get when you talk to girls." At that time, I was like so terrified to talk to girls, I couldn't even open my mouth to them in conversation. I remain silent most of the time when conversation goes on. I used to be socially anxious, why because I was terrible at talking to anyone back then. I used to talk to a girl but whenever I start a conversation with her, I sounded like I'm telling her a secret. She was laughing at me saying "why the heck are you whispering in my ear about that? You can ask me directly. Hahaha!!" I was seeing her face with confusion. Did you know what I asked? I asked her number. That's it. Which she gave to me eventually after a conversation. Now after moved away from my native place. I meet up with lot of people with different religions also with different different languages. Which I can't understand mostly. The major change in my life is that, I'm not a needy little coward anymore. So....Improvement Pill what do you think about this story?
I think it's by far one of the best and very interesting story telling video I've seen.I am just a beginner on this craftsmanship skill of storytelling. I would like to tell one of my own experience and how it helped me on that situation. I was experiencing a bad time in my teenage days of being single for a long time and I always had this dream of becoming attractive, likeable and impressive with women and to get along with them with ease and have fun in life. But there was this strange feeling of fear and a rise of adrenaline happened within me like the heart just beats fast !! Duk duk duk duk can literally hear it beating fast on the outside itself while approaching girls for a date in my pre teenage days. And the problem was solved by understanding and facing the fear bravely by talking to the girls I like, getting befriended, talking with them, being together and understanding that they are just the opposite sex, nothing to fear about. They too have similar problems while getting along with guys and that's it !!! The problem got solved just like that. How's the story I made ?
Not really a punchline. I think maybe if you talk about a specific girl you went up. The first girl you succeeded in talking with. And the punchline is something like, she invite you to coffee, or accepts your own invitation, something like that?
I have used these same guidelines to prepare court arbitration expert witness reports for construction contracts disputes. Excellent!!! It never failed. You could use it for technical matters, not only trivial events.
I recently learned the true value of a dollar & a friend. A few years back my friend and I went on a trip to New Orleans and after a few days of fun filled adventures we began our long trip back to our home town. Before we left we decided to make a quick stop at a local bakery for an on the road snack, but while on our way back to the car I quickly noticed an open space where my car was once parked. OH SHIT! I screamed! WHERE IS MY CAR!?! My friend looking at the palm of his hand and said shapelessly, " I forgot to put a dollar in the meter. That day I learned two things. The true value of a dollar & the lack of dependability my friend.
I was terrified of public speaking since I was in 2nd grade. our math teacher made us do the public speaking thing and she paired me up with one of my bullies.. it was ok at first since it was only one of them and I wasn't scared at first but then her older sister sat down with us and I was beyond scared.. at the time my turn comes to speak in front of all those bullies. I ended up shaking badly and I couldn't spit a word.. an the fact that I couldn't even feel my own legs scared me . next thing I know one of my bullies was getting closer at me and she grabbed my arm harshly whispering my ear you're a loser.. even after all these years I don't think I will ever forget that nd the funny thing is that am still terrified of public speaking.. so I guess that's my story. P.s I know my English is bad and am still working on it.
Story time: One time in high school, I was on my phone while Mr. Haws was teaching about proofs or whatever. He gave me the look of death and said, "Hudson, are you on your cellphone?" I responded, "nah man!" "Nah man? Give me your phone!" "Ok whatever. " He took my phone and announced that everyone should learn from this. He also said that he is so sick and tired of people on their phones. Right at that moment, he hurled my phone into the wall of the classroom. Silence filled the room. I was staring at him and then put my head on my arms on my desk. The bell rang. After class, some kids ensured that we could report to the principal. They fell for it. The day before, I went to Mr Haws' office and proposed the prank to him. We rehearsed the couple lines and I even showed him my moms old broken phone. This was my favorite part of high school.
Heh this reminds me of time me and my family almost got killed while on summer vacation. See we were taking a trip to Turkey for the summer and we had already gone to both Istanbul and Izmere and we were going to Dogubeyazit in this round trip deal. We decided to take one of those sweet buses there and travel down the southern way. Now at the time there were tensions between the more modern Turkish west and the more conservative Turk/Kurdish east. So we all get on and start roll'n along without any problem, but then we started driving down a stretch of road with cliffs on either side... and the folks on the bus were all locals, aside from us and an Australian guy that decided to travel with us along the way. We pass one military check point.... then a second one... until finally we were all asked to get on on the 3rd one. Seems the military guys didn't like us riding the bus and after a bit of back and forth in Turkish amongst the solders and the bus driver we were let through although we ended up having a few military guys tag along in the bus the rest of the way. Turns out that stretch of road was notorious for rebel raids from the cliffs and just last week one of the buses traveling down said road was hit by an IED. The solders were actually concerned that foreign nationals were on said bus because could have been taken prisoner and killed if they knew we were there. Luckly the rest of the trip was uneventful and we made it to Dogubeyazit without another incident. But yeah crazy stuff.
It's just the right moment for this video. Tomorrow I have a job interview at which they're going to ask me how happened that I'm walking with crutches. So I like to play handball. After moving to Berlin several months ago I thought, right, I'm going to join a handball club here to play together. At that moment I was a couple of years out of active sport. On my first game I got hit in the rib. It hurt so strong that I had to stop playing for two weeks. The next game the same guy who hit me in the rib (who turned out to be one of the coaches) accidentally punched me in the nose! I stopped playing for half an hour since it was bleeding, but quickly got back into the game. The next week I thought to myself "alright, I just stay away from that guy who plays aggressively, and I'll be fine". But during warm up I jump in the air to throw the ball... land on my leg... and just destroy my knee. It starts to hurt like hell and I have nothing to do, but to limp away home. And guess what, that time the guy wasn't even there!
Dude, this is just spot on! Aristotle said: "A story has a beginning, a middle and an end." Comparing that to your video, you're fucking Plato Squared. Keep it up.
Now that we got into self-improvement, motivation, hardwork and so on. I gotta tell something about this day. I have started parkour and acrobatics ten years ago, but never wanted fully commit to this sport, because it always seemed so hard and risky and it takes time to learn those moves. For that reason I never succeeded. God damn I had so many failures, injuries and I always ended giving up. Now that I got older I started to take things more seriosly and put more effort and time to learn those tricks and flips. I have been recently this month practising a lot this one trick called backflip 360. I have never landed it properly, because it is so difficult to rotate in the air while doing the flip. Fucking hell I was so tired of giving up. I wanted to achieve something. So I went to gym almost every day and practised and drilled that trick for one hour, however... never landed it properly. Today I said to myself in the morning "I am going to do it". I will own that shit. So I did meditation, ate well and visualize it in my mind every part of the trick. When time was to go to the gym, I went there hyped up. I started slowly. First I did basics and preparations for the trick. After dozens of tries, repetitions and fails, I finally landed it! I DID IT! I shouted "yeah" so loud, everyone in the gym heard it. I felt so good, like having the orgasm. Success really feels amazing. It is worth to fight for even though you fail. The joy you get when you achieve something can't be replaced by any drug. Ps. english is not my native language
ΛΣS†HΣ†IC It's great when you put in epic amounts of effort to accomplish a goal such as this. I used to do acrobatics too a long time ago. I was so excited to learn the backflip, but I was very afraid of it. The thought of landing on my head and breaking my neck scared me too much to try. I was also very self conscious and worried I would seem like an idiot to bystanders. One day I convinced this friend to help me spot it, you know, I would jump and he would slightly lift me up in the air to help me land it. So I jumped in the air, but I panicked right away. I landed on my neck pretty badly, so badly in fact that I got a bruise on my chest from my chin hitting it too hard. I had sprained the muscles on my upper back, and I had to stop practicing to recover from my injury. But I never gave up. I would mentally prepare for the trick every single day and try to visualize it. When I had recovered, I went back to practice. Having failed spectacularly before, I was even more nervous this time, plus I was alone now - no spotter. So I jumped in the air and felt the air woosh in my ears. I felt my body spin correctly, and landed. Not on my head this time, but on my feet, crouching. I was extremely hyped. I felt like I had conquered my fears, and succeeded after all the worry and pain. That was over ten years ago, but I haven't felt anything like that feeling to this day. I've stopped training acrobatics, but it's taught me a lot about mental strength, and learning in general.
While we're at it, I want to tell you a story of mine. So I had persuaded my father to get on a cliffs from which I could jump to the water. Before actually getting on the cliff I thought that I would do it with ease. But, when I got there, suddenly, all those anxieties and doubts started to draw in. However, at that moment, one of my favorite quotes came to my mind: "Live a life you will remember". Immediately I ran through it and jumped like never before, and even in the air, I had no negative feelings. After the jump, deep under the water, my mind didn't wanted to get out just to feel a longer glimpse of that amazing feeling. //ps. this sentence if you are telling it to charetarize yourself// That very moment taught me to keep my confidence no matter how unfamiliar and scary thins get.
Hey I love blond girls. That started because of one of my crushes. I thought she was very hot. I used to talk with her about different things but I didn’t ask her weather I liked her. Well after watching some amazing videos on youtube , I gathered up the courage to ask her. I was like “ ughh hey I think your hair looks like a golden waterfall” . and she asked me “ was that a complement?” . then I told her “ no it’s a fact , you better keep that in mind” . she giggled and thanked me for the complement. So from that day on I would talk to girls about their hair because , man don’ they love their hair. how about that?
I was surprised.when I open the comments, I saw a comment posted 7years back then, I cheak the release date of the video it was 7 years ago,it's amazing to think he posted this level of quality content 7years ago.,
This is a hero story. I was walking down to my favorite coffee shop light cow. Everything seemed like a normal day of before going to work .Before 4 guys with ninja turtle masks came running to the shop with alien guns saying 'everybody get in the ground'. I got down with fear to my eyes and then one of the ninja turtle mask dudes starting looking at me with of cheer of excitement. He came up to me and said we finally found you. I was confused on what was going on in that tragic moment but then he smack me with the alien gun and kidnapped me. Once I woked up the 4 dudes still had there mask but they were whispering to eachother like Im some kind of sicko or something. Thats the end for now because my phone is about to die so sorry for gaslighting yall.
That was valentines: Just last year valentines I met this girl in our school, she was very cute and I liked her. I had quite the low esteem to myself and I'm not very confident when it comes to talking to girls. I don't know her I just taught she looked cute and for some reason I wanted to challenge myself to go and come up to her. That's how gentlemen do way back then right? So I gathered every inch of inner confidence I barely had inside and stood up. I was uncertain of what's about to happen but I knew what I had to do, "once I come close I need to speak". So I did. With my nerves racking I came up and said "Hi My name's Yael...and...uhmmm...I think your cute?" She looked very surprised, even hesitated to reply a simple "Hi... uhmm... my name's Jane" we shook hands she gladly accepted the flowers I offered. Made a gesture. This valentines day we celebrated our 1st anniversary together. I learned a crucial lesson that day about girls, sometimes you just gotta get up and do it. It's either you take the risk or you lose the chance.
A little late to the party, but I'll have a go: One diving vacation ruined the sport for me forever. So I had gotten into freediving and a few months in I went on a freediving trip. While diving you use a technique, so that the pressure doesn't burst your eardrums, as you descend. Not even two meters into my first dive, it felt like someone had stuck a needle in my ear and there was a sound like a firework going off in my ear. I went to a local doctor, got some antibiotics, because I had gotten an ear infection and was told not to go diving while on the antibiotics. Not even two days after I was done, I stupidly went diving again. A later checkup back in my own country showed my eardrum had only just healed and that there was permanent damage. The doctor advised me not to go diving again, as it could land me in a very dangerous if not lethal situation.
I had a very depressed in the university. She always wanted everything but she did not ever work for it . Once a time we were talking about our homework, I said that I have done it perfectly. Then she said that it is really hard and she can not do it by herself, immediately she started begging to me to do it for her. I said that she can depend on herself and do it by herself, but if it is so hard for her I will consider helping her. However, she called me at night and started begging for help again but I told her that there is no need. Can you guess what happened the next day? she has done it by herself and it was great. She just needed self-confidence. Sometimes when we are depressed we feel so powerless but this feeling is not true and we have to come over it.
Here is my story: My dad is married to two things, my mom and his suits. Not a day goes by, when I am not seeing him rock a suit. My older brother back in high school wears a suit for economics every week, on the first day he had to wear a suit. He decides to hang with his friends after school and comes back home at 10pm! My dad was waiting for him, until the man saw my brother and was angry. For a completely different reason. He stormed up to him and said "Why are you wearing a brown belt and black shoes?" My brother was stunned, he could barely make out any words. My dad then said to him "If you go outside with a suit, you make sure you don't look poor or have bad parents. Have some fashion and style with your suit" My brother was weirded out, but got the message clear. What can I say? My dad is married to his suits.
Here's mine : Right after getting out of school, High school gave me three options to pursue with my studies - Science, Commerce and Humanities. I know I'm an Asian, yet I didn't go for the Sciences. I chose Humanities... Only to find out the social pressure in my class : I was the only guy in a class of 29 girls. I guess it was survival of the fittest, hence I'm a guitarist.
I'll just pick a story that's often on my mind. My last girlfriend cheated on me half an year ago. She had no reason to do so, but I guess she needed a useless lover, who spends every day drinking bear in the park, and every evening doing the same in a bar. Once I found out, I said : "Ok, whatever... just stay out of my sight.". The next day they show up in my friend company to drink beer together, as if nothing had happened - like I don't exist. They succeeded at provoking me. I emptied a pepper spray can in their eyes and told them to get lost. It felt great and it saved my sanity, but at the same time I feel a sense of impending revenge.... even 'tho they deserved it. (It's way easier when you type the story. You can pause to gather your thoughts and edit out the bad stuff. But when taking it verbally... it's a whole different story ;D )
I'm a pretty down to earth person, but yesterday it was all too literal. I like to go for walks in the national parks near my house, usually to take my mind off of things. I live in the suburbs so it's a pretty peaceful place to begin with, but when I'm out among the tree's it's just next level reserved, except for the occasional cycler that over takes me. As I was walking yesterday I'd been out for about an hour on the way back to my car and all I can hear it the crushing of earth under my shoes. I lost my balance because out of no wear an emu sprints out of the bushes across the path in front of me. I took a trip after catching my phone and failing to catch my balance. Next, time I'll be "down to earth" in the non literal sense.
So, yestreday I had my long waited interview for admitting to university. Well, I have said all the things that I wanted and was happy. And I have decided to call my buddy to see how he did. So yeah we talk about it wit mostly positive feelings. Suddenly he asks me a question: "Did you take that chocolate?" suddenly I got nervous and said: "yeah?" and he momenteraly turned serious and said: " Oh nooo I'ts gone, you wont be admitted" I got angry for a moment and said "WTF?" after the roar of my frustrated voice he laughed: " It was just a joke calm yourself down." So it was those kinds of moments when you don't know feel good or bad...
Oh my gosh this video reminds me of something... it was something mentioned. Yeah so I was watching this video and as soon as he told me to write something in the comments I was in a dilemma. I had forgotten how to write a story! I crunched my fingers against my nose so hard it felt like I took a binder clip and put it on my nose!(ok u did that 2) Luckily this guy in the video had written a comment. The comment went over what happened in the video! I was like "yaaaay" buuuuuuut right after I read the comment... guess what! I FORGOT HOW TO TELL A STORY AGAIN!!! So I was standing on my chair and checking the tension on my rope, but then I remembered I could edit my comment. (Story) Yeah so the thing the video reminded me of was that my short term memory is horrible, and so is my short term memory.
They say cinematic scenes don't happen in real life. Well, they're wrong. There was this one time when I was racing against time to meet my girlfriend. She was on her way back to Mumbai and called me up to wish goodbye. I was hurt but certainly needed to see her one last time. I found out about the details of the bus and set out to chase it. Majestic was the stop where the bus would halt for half an hour. I raced my bike like never before and almost killed myself. I was inches away from crashing into a truck. I broke majority of traffic signals on my way and finally when I reached the stop, I just couldn't find her. She kept crying on the phone telling me to go away and that she couldn't face me. Ultimately the bus started to leave and she told me her location. I quickly reached there just to see the bus number from behind the bridge crossing the city. I will never forget that evening. That was the worst goodbye anyone can get.
TH-cam's a really crazy platform. It can go from super weird to super deep in just minutes. So I got onto my youtube homepage the other day and they suggested dog this video that I could watch. You know the usual. We all love dog videos (or cats). So hell why not? This video was about dogs rolling over their asses and it was so weird! A chivava rubbing it's butt on the ground and walking tho. So as I was checking the next recommendations, I landed on No Fap challenge. Soon after, I landed on meditation tips by improvement pill. Crazy! from wasting my time watching dog videos, I'm now practicing how to meditate and improving my life drastically!
So this is a story about our trip to the museum My family and myself went to city of Hyderabad, have covered all the tourist spots and finally planned to go to the Salar Jung museum. We decided to spend that entire afternoon over there. It's 6 hours drive from our place and finally we reached the place and we were completely baffled upon approaching the ticket counter. Guess what, the day we went over there happens to be the anniversary of Salar Jung. And that one day happens to be the only day the museum gets closed in the entire year. So don't plan just do it, as you may not regret spending your entire time for planning. we may have lot of plans but one small thing can entirely distort our plans which is never under our control
I don't know if there was any more shy than I was back in high school 😸. I could just approach a lady, look straight at her and pretend to be interested to converse and just walk away. Sometimes, I even take to my heels; it has actually not been easy. And now, even after completing high school, having gone through a lot and having seen a whole variety of ladies, conversations seem to be very difficult 😌. Seeing a lot of beautiful ladies and cannot talk with empty pockets, we pass around campus saying hi all day long😸. It shall be well at the end surely. If it hasn't been that, why would I be watching improvement pill videos all night, feeling like a cub turning into a mother lion only to meet the day still a baby kitten. But we'll surely prevail🔥 with Improvement pills.
So we all have had our crazy believes that because of this specific thing the events turn out to be like this. So, this one time I really really liked this guy and I wanted him to like me back. I would almost always show up at gatherings where he would be present in order to gain his attention. When I was running out of options to make him look at me, I pulled out my outfit that makes me look and feel very irresistible. A very fitted brown full sleeve shirt and and black skinny pants. So I walk into yet another gathering hoping he'll notice. And for the most parts of the evening, he didn't. It wasn't until I starting dancing with another guy, I caught him checking me out! He was finally looking at me. And most importantly he'd keep looking at me. I don't know if it was jealously or not, but I truly believe the outfit has to do a lot with it.
Not everyone is comfortable pooping in public. I had never done it in school, but tragedy struck one day in 6th grade. After hours of holding it in, i plummeted to my knees in the middle of the PE field. It looked like I was praying, but instead I vomited all over the floor, to the point where even the cleaning lady brought her hands to her mouth in terror. As I was brought to the office, a feeling in my stomach told me danger will struck again. But once I got to the bathroom, no vomit came out. As I glanced between the mirror and the disgusting school toilet, my mind raced with fear. With a defeated look, i entered that bathroom stall and absolutely destroyed it. i dont remember what I ate the day before, but it ended my 11 year no poop in schools streak.
The Man who taught me everything about witty banter and a quick comeback was this old dude named Kevin One day I was playing a board game with my friends, and the game started to get a little intense. I instinctively popped a deep squat to help me concentrate. Kevin asked me "Hey why are you squatting on the chair?". I nonchallantly replied " oh, it's just my thinking pose". As soon as I said that, I let rip a loud, nasty ol fart. And you know what my Kevin said? "more like your STINKING pose!" I couldn't have asked for a funnier friend
I had the best summer ever, I went on a cruise with my family and we’ve went to 5 countries in Europe it was amazing, the best part was meeting my new friends, spending time with friends is obviously much more fun We went to parties and chilled n it was only on the cruise. Finland was the best bcz it was this modern and old looking city at the same time which I found really amazing and different from the rest. How was that..?😅
Story, This was a meeting with an old man during my teens. One day I skipped my classes and was sitting in a park and an Old man swings by and sits next to me . Observing the book in my hand he asks why do read this book. I replied, this is my course material. There is a lot you can learn outside the course materials that could be more useful What are those?? I asked him Learn from different sources, observe people and practice...he said. And left by saying, Life is simple and beautiful.... Enjoy your day
here one of my most embarrassing moments: it was my cousin's wedding and i was 12 back then. my cousin had just exited the church with her groom when i urged her to throw the bouquet. now some context here - i am indian and throwing the bouquet was not really ever done in indian weddings. this was just what i had seen in movies. i had no idea about the 'whoever catches it would get married next' part. also i loved catching things. so as my cousin threw the bouquet, out shot my hand catching the bouquet. imagine my confusion when everybody started asking me 'who was the lucky guy?' or 'when's the date?' and then my mortification on being explained. if my skin was a lighter complexion my face would have been maroon with embarrassment! also the photographer had captured this moment shot by shot... i still cringe when i think about this, lol!
Wanna hear a story tho? I once was invited to go fishing with my friends, there were 5 of us including two dogs, and so after they've picked me up, we've gone to the lake where they were usually fishing. There they surprisingly gifted me a fishing rod and shared some of their live bait. And so we've started fishing, right? Dogs were barking all the time scaring the fish, but with time got used to the process of being patient as we were. When we've already started fishing, we had some potential catches, but were losing them all. Me with my Rod was just sitting on one place all the time, and re throwing the bait over and over again. Then Arthur had finally got a first catch while we were fishing. And then another one, I already thought that I wouldn't get any tish for the 3 hours we were sitting there. But then have finally felt that somebody wanted my bait,. Everybody has noticed it, and were hyping me up towards pulling it towards myself. So I've pulled, but being the guy being able to pull a bed, or lift a 92kg Weight, this particular pne was so stubborn. I almost flew into the water because of her. As the battle has gone, from pulling me, to me pulling the fish, I was almost at it. THIS GUY WAS BIIIG, I ALMOST GOT IT LIFTED OUT OF THE WATER. And then, "gulp". I've got a fish line without a hook on it)
Most of us can easily understand the concept of something being "Full". Picture a water jug with a consent water stream going into it, and eventually it will be full and over fill. Picture is clear right now let's take that into consideration and replace the jug with a human and the water is our emotions/thoughts, what happens when we fill up? A lot of us are troubled people with a lot on our minds; We all look for ways to vent and get rid of stress, so most of us are led here TH-cam or a random hobby. The point is people don't become over burden yourself in you own thoughts and emotions.
Thinking about cool topics, one of the most exciting things I've done in my life so far was Shark-Cage-diving in South Africa, where I saw Great Whites just a few inches away from me. The Crew of the tour drove some other tourists and me out on the ocean. There the they set up the cage and the bait for the sharks. Together with a few other people, I entered the cage, equipped with a wetsuit and mask. Now the wait began. A few minutes passed but nothing seemed to happen. We were waiting for a signal of the crew who was looking from the boat deck for upcoming sharks. But they didnt gave us any sign to go underwater. Therefore the wait was getting longer and longer. First 5, then 10, then 20minutes passed. Every more minute spent the ice-cold-water made me want get out more. Then I was about to ask for a pause when suddenly a drill-instructor-like voice from the the boat-deck screamed: "DOWN!". That was the sign. I held my breath and looked underwater as quickly as I could. And there it was. A giant great white shark charged up to the surface like a rocket. It passed the cage (and me) just a few centimeters away and catched the bait on the surface with an equally scary and fascinating accuracy. It then returned back into the depth of the ocean. Although everything of that only lasted maybe 1-2 seconds, I cant remember any event which was equally intense/exciting in my life. Also feedback is appreciated from everyone who reads this. ;) Storytelling is really something that I want to improve. Thank you! :)
How do you prefer to talk to people? Online or in real life? I assume that most of people would choose first option. Because it's easier, right? But let me share you a story that might change your perspective. It actually happened not so long ago. It was a year ago when I was in the first grade of high school. When I started school in September I was so shy I couldn't talk to any people. I just found it so hard to start a conversation. So I didn't talk to anyone. At least in real life. As we were all new to each other there was plenty going on our group chat. I was writing a lot of messages there. It was better this way but I felt so alone as I didn't talk to anyone in real life. Later I actually managed to step out of comfort zone a little bit more and one of my classmate wrote to me a message privately. I started to like her very quickly. We really got along with each other. But we weren't talking in real life even though we were seeing each other every day at school. I was trying so many times to start even a single conversation with her but it was hard. And besides I had a possibility to write to her online. It was easier this way. We talked each other for over a month and then we actually talked a first time in real life. And it was amazing. We got really closer, we felt more connection. I still remember that day very well. Unfortunately later I got sick and I was absent in the school for week. Then after I recovered myself she got sick. We were talking this entire time but it didn't time survive. At some time we stopped talking with each other. I was really sad but I thought to myself that it prbably was caused by lack of our conversations in person. The point of this story is that when you talk to people online you are not able to see each other face to face. In real life you can build that connection because you see each other and that's what builds great relationship. Ps. If you actually read this and have some time I would love to hear your review about this. Let me know how it went, if the message was clear to receive and what I should improve.
You won't believe what happened yesterday! so,, me and my aunt and my uncle were supposed to go out on a walk because its independence day right? We even got balloons and stuff, but the hard part for me personally was finding clothing BECAUSE THIS GIRL CANNOT DECIDE HER OUTFIT TO SAVE HER LIFE, soon enough we went out and as we were walking,, that's when I realized BOOM. I was wearing my grandma's flip-flops and they were so lose that I started walking like a disabled penguin,, and you know what? Before we could reach the bakery my aunt and I switched slippers and her feet turned out to be smaller than mine! FINALLY when we did arrive at the bakery,, in our favor the pastry my aunt specifically went for ...dundun !! Wasn't there. oh the look of disappointment on her face was priceless "Whats the point of coming here now?!" She said ,, still I managed to eat a delicious oreo brownie and run back home ! (Constructive criticism pLEASEE PLEASEE PRETTY PLEASE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP"
Let me tell you something about myself or more like why I'm what I'm, there's this one thing a person told me and I will never forget that... I don't remember exactly but I was 12 years old I guess it was 11:00 PM on the clock, I was sitting out on the veranda, waiting for the person and then I saw him, I questioned "why so late tonight?", He answered, "I was at a bar..." "But you don't drink or smoke!" "I was with my friends they were drunk so I had to drive them home.." "All your friends drink and smoke, you never felt like doing all of it?" I asked and then hr answered saying something that's carved in my brain "Yes they all are addicted to that stuff and at this age there's literally nothing I can do about it, but always remember one thing in your life, 'A man is defined by his needs.' and drinks and smoke do not make a good definition." And while hugging me said "never forget that my son."
I am a middle age guy live with my mom. Currently, she is not home and I am having a bit of a panic attack because I have no pants to wear for my business meeting tomorrow. Why am I panicking? She is the master in a sewing machine and stitching stuff so the only pant I have is torn and need to be sewn but I couldn't figure out how to use the sewing machine and I am all stressed out. Now I think it's best if I go online and go to my casino and play about $74 to see if I can win with a game of blackjack and roulette. I know if I win this, things will go my way for all the things that I need to do tomorrow. Wish me luck. (resolution) From this story, you can tell about my personality. Tell me what is my personality =)
That's true. My dog was as aggressive as yours. So one day me with my friend had a dog walked but soon we faced with another dog. Guess what, these dogs were so aggressive towards each other that we couldn't take them apart. Then after half an hour we finally split them with blood in our hands. Me and my friend'd never forget this occasion.
When I was 7 my dream was to become a professional football (soccer) player. Everyday I went out to play football with my friends for hours. One day no one of my friends were going out so I went alone. I played alone for about an hour and then the older kids came. I asked if I could play with them and they said yes. We played all day. When it started being dark a group of young adults came. We as 15 year old kids (I was the only 1 that was 7) wanted to play a match against them. So we played. After 5 minutes I was so tired that I went to be the goalkeeper. I got so many goals that I raged and I threw a ball at one of the adults. But he caught it and kicked it at me. I said that I wont get a goal this time so with all of my power a tried to stop that ball. But I did it. Aaand I broke my arm :P
This happened with me today... I got into a grocery store, t buy some stuff, and the lady in the cashier starts yelling at me: "Why are you not greet me!" -Because are you talking somebody else. (he is clearly talking with an elderly woman when I entered) "Why ou don't wake up?" -Yes I need to buy some... "Wake up, wake up, and talk louder!" -Yes... "What did you want? Drink some Coffee before you come into my store!" -I'm about to buy some Coffee... instant coffee please... and so on... anyway, I got the coffee, I woke up and I laughed about the whole thing.
Speaking of scary events, One night I went with my friends to a haunted house and it was terrifying . It was just like any other night, until one of my friends suggested that we explore a haunted house, so we did. When we got in the house, we started hearing a scary voice, and not long after that we saw someone moving in the shadow. We wanted to leave and ran to the exit but when we got there, the door was closed (everyone started panicking ) and the thing in the shadow started walking to us slowly and said”boooooh” everybody shat themselves, to then realize it was one of our friends with a mask. From that day, we kept an eye on that friend at night and invited him to every Halloween party😂.
Excuse my English, I'm still not fluent in english, please just try to read it and help me improve. Thank you in advance. When I was younger I used to play soccer with my friend Bryan. Our coach sir Adams was the most charismatic man I've ever seen. One day we were playing against another local team; and that day was clearly not ours. Before the game start , I went to Bryan and he told me : " listen bro, just feed me the ball and I'm doing the rest" Okay I said. After 60 minutes playing, we were led 3-1 and guess what ; no goal for Bryan. As the time is going further, his confidence seemed to go abroad ; The time for Coach Adams to call him near the Bench, he whispered some words , and there's the man coming back score once and make an assist to tie the game in just 20 minutes remaining. Of course I was shocked ; what a change in his game! At the end of the game I just ran to the coach and i asked him what did he said to him that made him bring his game to the other level ? He said , "I just asked him to show that he's a star" I would never have hope for a better coach !
So it's carnival in Brazil, and things can get pretty intense during this holiday. We have street parties everyday, with everybody drinking, meeting new people and escalating from that to you may know what. I was about to cross the street following my friends when people inside a car stopped on the red light started talking and joking and flirting with me (yes, that's the kind of thing that happens). So I turned around from my mission of crossing the street, headed to the car's window wherea girl was sitting, moved my head inside the car and fucking kissed her. This beautiful love story lasted a few seconds until the lights turned green and the car left. And that's carnival.
So my brother Adam is going to be a doctor, and he's really smart, but sometimes he just does the stupidest stuff. One time we were on our way to New York to visit our grandmother. It's a long ride, so we decided to stop at Burger King to get some food for the rest of the trip. I ask everyone in the car what they want, and we get our orders, except for Adam who is taking forever to order. Eventually, he makes up his mind - "Ali, I want a McFlurry." I tell him "Adam, no, this is Burger King, they don't have McFlurries here." Adam says "No, I saw the sign, they have ice cream. I want a McFlurry." I tell him "Adam, you just can't have a McFlurry, alright, this isn't McDonalds. Order something else." He goes "Ohhhhh, I get it. Alright, I want a McChicken." For someone so smart, I don't understand how he can act so dumb sometimes.
So my family has a boat, and we go on it around once a week in the summer. And this weekend as we were leaving my mom is putting everything away, and stacks a pile of pillows and blankets next to a thing of silverware. Around this time I was around 8 or 9, so I was impatient and just jumping all over the place. So I see the stack of pillows and blankets, without even noticing the silverware, and as I jump on the pillows and my blankets my mom yanks me off. I didn't know what was going on until I saw that I was stab by a steak knife from the silverware, so I start seeing the poor out and scream,"I DONT WANT TO DIE!" So my dad covers my wound with some paper towels and drives me to the hospital. I got a couple of stitches and still have the scar to prove it.
I want to tell you about why I don't eat at restaurants anymore. A couple of years ago I was working as a waiter for a catering company while I was in college and we would serve food to customers for birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs and whatnot. Anyway, one night we had a lady come up to the kitchen holding one of the glass jugs we use to serve soft drinks and water. She looked a bit like a Karen and sensing that something was wrong, I asked her if she needed any help. (mimicking her voice) "This jug is covered in mould!", she shrieked. I took a look and sure enough, the bloody thing was green inside and out! It was definitely mouldy and had grease stains all over, like it had never been cleaned before. I showed my coworkers and they also felt disgusted by it, one even began dry-retching in the corner of the kitchen! Feeling terrible, I cleaned a new jug in front of the lady and refilled it for her. That's when I realised that people who work with food don't care about hygiene or the safety of the customers!
I went to a catholic boarding school in Ireland and when I was 14 my friend and I were messing and running down a corridor. We slammed into a door that was to enter the main reception area of our school that is used by parents, teachers, and priests. When the door swung open we realized that a priest was on the other side of the door and we had sent him flying through the air. The last thing I saw was the priest hitting his head against the radiator along the wall when he hit the ground and then the door closes back on our faces. We turned ran away leaving the priest on the ground thinking we had just killed somebody. After a couple minutes we decided to go back and check if he was still there, we opened the door and he was just lying there on the ground. Both of us asked him what had happened? His head pops up and starts shouting, "I know you guys knocked me over", we just denied his accusations. Now, he couldn't get up off the ground because he was about 80 years of age and had artificial hips, so we had to drag him along the ground and look for a chair. So, grabbed the priest by his arms and started yanking him around the school. As we were dragging him a teacher walks by and catches us, the teacher freaks out when we see him we drop the priest. The teacher is lost for words and tells us to get out of there and he'll look after the priest. I had the teacher for class the following day and I remember asking him "What did you think when you saw just dragging the priest", his reply was "I thought you killed the man!" I learned a lot of things in school but one lesson sticks out more than any other, never run in corridors.
Great video, it made me realize the importance of story telling. what are the books that helped you master this art? I am looking for a informative book about the subject as well as books that are written in a way that will help us grasp the storytelling concepts.. thx homie!
Man you know there are slot of technology that our parents could never use cause I think we have it easy One time I was playing guitar and my grandfather shows up to greet me only instead of greeted me by passing by but then he stopped to admire my guitar He says “son, how long have you been practicing”? I said “well I had a little help, from you tube” he said in confusion “what’s a you tube” I said “long story” so my grandpa decided to get his own guitar from the room Then as he’s tuning it he asked me if I tuned mine yet I said “of course I have my own tuner on my phone you need to barrow it?” He quickly responded “no, back then we have no use of those phone we tube the way the wind wind blows”. And that’s when I finally understand, was senile.
You know, this whole video reminds me of this one time at band, when I stole my friend Travis' brownie at lunch. I had just walked out of the lunchline while talking to a friend of mine, Teddy. He had notoriously long hair like myself at the time, and was a close friend of Travis. I walked over to my section's table and sat beside Trent. As we're just being idiots and conversating, Travis walks over, a brownie and gogurt on his tray. As he sits down, Trent glances at me and silently tells me of his intent. I nod in response. At one point, Travis turns to talk to someone else, and Trent sees his opportunity. Trent grabs his gogurt while I nab his brownie. I quickle hide it under the table, and Trent follows suit. Lunch continued as normal, until I heard an apelike slam on the table, accompanied by "There was a brownie here when I sat down!" Trent quickly turned to me and barely contained his giggle. I had already eaten it at this point. Trent, trying, to humor travis, said the theif had hair like a girl. So now I'm red in the face, trying to avoid all eye contact, and then my ears are assaulted with a loud,"It was Teddy!" As he walks to yell at teddy, Trent and I are losing it. Teddy looks more confused then ever, and I barely escaped Travis finding out, or at least for 3 days. The best part? He never knew trent took his gogurt
For this exercise, it's fictional. I've always loved animals until this unfortunate day. So one day me and my family went to the zoo to create some memories.I was enjoying it and thinking this as one of the best days of my life.We went to go look at the bears and one of the bears gave me the scariest look an innocent child could imagine. After I told my dad he said,"It's just bears."And I haven't seen an animal nor visited a zoo since.
Out of all the videos you've uploaded on this channel, this is probable my favorite. The way you described two great examples in detail helped so much in understanding your points. And as if that wasn't enough, you're also helping your viewers improve but giving them feedback. Great video, keep it up!
its amazing to note that majority of comments here are actually being read by other people with interest. making the video completely credible.
You just made a story abt stories lmao
@@rainbowphrogexactly my thought 😂💕
I think everybody has a story about their most embarrassing moment:
I was never considered popular back in middle school.
Yooooo dude that was amazing lmaooooooo
I am fkn dead! 💀👏🏼
I won’t that’s david
Thanks*
Hilarious!
this video reminded me of an old friend that was really really good at storytelling, when i was in midle school, this friend of mine was always with like a crowd of people in front of him. i didn't look to much into it at the time but one day someone just asked "how is he so good?" and then i listened to what he was saying, turns out every single day he told like a review on his own way about something that hapened the day before. the thing is, he was almost a standup comedian because he used a lot of humor in relatable scenarios. thanks for reminding me, maybe i'll contact him... if i ever remember his name
I'm just looking at the comments to see people's stories
Samantha de Regules that's exactly what am doing rn lol
Me too.. haha

You put so much quality content in your videos, it's fascinating, please don't stop this _not so common upload_ but *good quality*!
L3n Hey do you know what Microphone Improvement Pill uses?
I was talking to someone who is known as the guy who can capture an entire room's attention with his stories. Some of his tips on storytelling include:
Starting with a hook line like "You could never understand the absurdity of what I'm about to tell you."
Adding conflict besides just telling a story about something that happened.
Until she put the pen down closed her book and said, Lady, you don't need a writer you need a PHYSIATRIST,
and that's the last I heard of her.
well, there goes my story.
The End
My problem is that my stories tend to be interesting when I think of them, but I fail on the delivery. Watching this video helps a lot.
Improvement Pill Thanks for the comment!

The Beach is One of the Most Wonderful Places on Earth
Let me explain...
*insert the same content and resolution here*
Would this be a more relevant set-up? haha. Thanks for replying by the way, I realize you said you would, but still, I appreciate it hehe
Maybe you should make it clear in the set up part that the small guy at the begining of videos reminds you of an experience with kids :D
1662ninja I love how you started this one
This story sucks for the following reasons:
U didn't establish how the "structure of the video" relates to ur painting class experience.

They are really well done.
hi are you still a college professor
True story:
You know whenever I go anywhere with my friend David, he'll always find some new way to embarrass me in public.
So this time it was at in n out. The whole track team decided to go to in n out after practice and David and I are towards the front of the line. I order and get my usual burger, but as I walked away I hear a cashier's voice saying "YOU WANT WHAT????"
Apparently David had asked the cashier for a potato. Why he wanted a potato instead of fries I may never know. I guess he was just feeling a little more natural than usual that day.
As David holds up the line the manager comes down and David repeats his desire for the raw patato. The manager says "I guess since the costumers always right?" And as he turns around to fetch the patato David says "oh I don't want one now I was just thinking for later, but I'll take a double double with fries though"
I never did find out if he ever went back but I couldn't ever look at him quite the same after that.
Honestly that's pretty funny I'd be laughing if I was there
All this talk of tension reminds me of a time when I became so tense i nearly broke my own arm!
This is 7 months old, but just wanted to do the exercise to apply this concept somewhere :)
Speaking of neighbours, we are quite friendly with most of our neighbours.
---
So one lazy day in college, I decided to head home early.
I forgot to ask for her number!"
And I never saw her again.
Great story! I think you shouldn't have paid for the transport as that seems to be too much investment for a random stranger.
Well, the weather was the cause of the situation and the setup was pretty much a fateful encounter with a woman. But hey, who am I to say no to constructive criticism? Thanks everyone for taking a read of this little writing exercise I whipped up.
Oberfuhrer-Razgriz this story is so fucking lame
@IP Yeah, I figured that was the case. Went into the exercise straight in to see how much I can follow your presented structure by intuition but I suppose my writer's habits got into it and resulted in something not really said verbally. It is rather detailed. Hah.
Oberfuhrer-Razgriz sorry i kinda lost interest as i was reading but no hate, im still developing this ability as well
Damn man. Thumbnail done right!
Sushanta Hey do you know what microphone Improvement Pill uses?
I really enjoyed how you shared that story of your roommate who ended up hurting himself with his pocketknife.
Last year my good friend and I were hanging out it is room where there is this wooden stool that he's just throwing his pocket knife into repeatedly while balancing the stool on his leg. So I said to him, "hey man, you probably shouldn't do that." And my buddy, in his glorified confident stayed, responds, "dude, chill out. I'll be fine!" Can you imagine what happened immediately afterwards?
I hear a muffled *Thunk* followed by him screaming out "FUCK!"
I look over at my friend and I see the knife is partially hanging out of his leg.
Mine! 💪😁
***** okay, thanks. I guess I'll try to keep it shorter and hopefully more interesting the next time I tell it.
I just realized that I never directly stated that the car was base. I should have included that in my set up.
True story:
Back in my childhood, I had a bully.
Did I tell you about the time I changed my life drastically
It was when I started watching TH-cam videos by improvement pill, I learnt so much and I really felt like my brain was getting sharpened, once I was walking in the street and my neighbor saw me from far as I was getting closer to her she said my walking posture had completely changed and I looked more taller and composed, I thanked her and we parted.
Alright here is my story:
I once went on a boy scout trip with the craziest bunch of troop guides. we were all divided into different cooking patrols, so around each meal we split up to start cooking our food. during breakfast one of the patrols guides was helping one patrol cook oatmeal, and you wouldn't believe how he messed it up.
So here's the thing: one day I'm walking on the street heading home, when suddenly a stranger stops me and says:
- Hey, do you have a moment?
And the punchline is something like, she invite you to coffee, or accepts your own invitation, something like that?
oh wow, 5 year old comment, lol :)
Story time:
One time in high school, I was on my phone while Mr. Haws was teaching about proofs or whatever. He gave me the look of death and said, "Hudson, are you on your cellphone?"
I responded, "nah man!"
"Nah man? Give me your phone!"
"Ok whatever. "
He took my phone and announced that everyone should learn from this.

Have to present a 5 minute story next week. Really needed this video haha. Thanks!
My autobiography will be lit
Inspirational, cool story
ΛΣS†HΣ†IC Great story, thanks!
//ps. this sentence if you are telling it to charetarize yourself//
That very moment taught me to keep my confidence no matter how unfamiliar and scary thins get.
Gevor Chobanyan awesome! Thanks.
So from that day on I would talk to girls about their hair because , man don’ they love their hair.
how about that?
thanx, but what kind of setup should i use for this story?
rAx Sand "You know there's one sure way to pick up girls"
That was valentines:
Just last year valentines I met this girl in our school, she was very cute and I liked her.
A little late to the party, but I'll have a go:
One diving vacation ruined the sport for me forever.
Here is my story:
My dad is married to two things, my mom and his suits.
When I tell a story, people don't think 'how will this story end', they think 'WHEN WILL THIS STORY END!?! 😦'.
Here's mine :
Right after getting out of school, High school gave me three options to pursue with my studies - Science, Commerce and Humanities.
Suddenly he asks me a question: "Did you take that chocolate?" suddenly I got nervous and said: "yeah?" and he momenteraly turned serious and said: " Oh nooo I'ts gone, you wont be admitted" I got angry for a moment and said "WTF?"
after the roar of my frustrated voice he laughed: " It was just a joke calm yourself down." So it was those kinds of moments when you don't know feel good or bad...
Oh my gosh this video reminds me of something... it was something mentioned.
Yeah so I was watching this video and as soon as he told me to write something in the comments I was in a dilemma. I had forgotten how to write a story! I crunched my fingers against my nose so hard it felt like I took a binder clip and put it on my nose!(ok u did that 2)
Luckily this guy in the video had written a comment. (Story)
Yeah so the thing the video reminded me of was that my short term memory is horrible, and so is my short term memory.
So this is a story about our trip to the museum
My family and myself went to city of Hyderabad, have covered all the tourist spots and finally planned to go to the Salar Jung museum.
The Man who taught me everything about witty banter and a quick comeback was this old dude named Kevin
One day I was playing a board game with my friends, and the game started to get a little intense.
"more like your STINKING pose!"
I couldn't have asked for a funnier friend
I had the best summer ever, I went on a cruise with my family and we’ve went to 5 countries in Europe it was amazing, the best part was meeting my new friends, spending time with friends is obviously much more fun
We went to parties and chilled n it was only on the cruise. Finland was the best bcz it was this modern and old looking city at the same time which I found really amazing and different from the rest.
How was that..?😅
I think you'll need more work.... not being offensive though. Just hoped you don't sleep with too many girls there haha
Story,
This was a meeting with an old man during my teens.
One day I skipped my classes and was sitting in a park and an Old man swings by and sits next to me .
Observing the book in my hand he asks why do read this book.
I replied, this is my course material.
There is a lot you can learn outside the course materials that could be more useful
What are those?? I asked him
Learn from different sources, observe people and practice...he said.
And left by saying,
Life is simple and beautiful....
Enjoy your day
here one of my most embarrassing moments:
it was my cousin's wedding and i was 12 back then. my cousin had just exited the church with her groom when i urged her to throw the bouquet. now some context here - i am indian and throwing the bouquet was not really ever done in indian weddings. this was just what i had seen in movies. i had no idea about the 'whoever catches it would get married next' part. also i loved catching things.
so as my cousin threw the bouquet, out shot my hand catching the bouquet. imagine my confusion when everybody started asking me 'who was the lucky guy?' or 'when's the date?' and then my mortification on being explained. if my skin was a lighter complexion my face would have been maroon with embarrassment!
also the photographer had captured this moment shot by shot...
i still cringe when i think about this, lol!
Thank you! :)
bamischijfje123 Ok thanks for the feedback
Sir, I believe that vehicles can't drive on the ocean.
(resolution)
From this story, you can tell about my personality.
I got into a grocery store, t buy some stuff, and the lady in the cashier starts yelling at me:
"Why are you not greet me!"
-Because are you talking somebody else. (he is clearly talking with an elderly woman when I entered)
"Why ou don't wake up?"
-Yes I need to buy some...
"Wake up, wake up, and talk louder!"
-Yes...
"What did you want? Drink some Coffee before you come into my store!"
-I'm about to buy some Coffee... instant coffee please...
and so on...
anyway, I got the coffee, I woke up and I laughed about the whole thing.
Speaking of scary events,
One night I went with my friends to a haunted house and it was terrifying .
Before the game start , I went to Bryan and he told me : " listen bro, just feed me the ball and I'm doing the rest"
Okay I said.
He said , "I just asked him to show that he's a star"
I would never have hope for a better coach !
Alright, I want a McChicken."
For someone so smart, I don't understand how he can act so dumb sometimes.
I indeed have felt the disgust you felt that time. But really, it was kinda boring. No battle or highlighted argument and all. This lacks interest.
I had the teacher for class the following day and I remember asking him "What did you think when you saw just dragging the priest", his reply was "I thought you killed the man!"
I learned a lot of things in school but one lesson sticks out more than any other, never run in corridors.
HOW AMAZING THIS VIDEO IS !!!!!
that is super fresh!!😉
Great video, it made me realize the importance of story telling. what are the books that helped you master this art? I am looking for a informative book about the subject as well as books that are written in a way that will help us grasp the storytelling concepts.. thx homie!
one of the better videos compared to your recent posts. good job.
Man you know there are slot of technology that our parents could never use cause I think we have it easy
One time I was playing guitar and my grandfather shows up to greet me only instead of greeted me by passing by but then he stopped to admire my guitar
He says “son, how long have you been practicing”? I said “well I had a little help, from you tube” he said in confusion “what’s a you tube” I said “long story” so my grandpa decided to get his own guitar from the room
Then as he’s tuning it he asked me if I tuned mine yet I said “of course I have my own tuner on my phone you need to barrow it?” He quickly responded “no, back then we have no use of those phone we tube the way the wind wind blows”.
And that’s when I finally understand, was senile.
Keep making content, I watch you every day now. I even re watch videos. You're doing a great positive thing, and you're changing lives :).
Literally gold mines sitting on TH-cam watched it when I was a teen
Lunch continued as normal, until I heard an apelike slam on the table, accompanied by "There was a brownie here when I sat down!"
Trent quickly turned to me and barely contained his giggle. I had already eaten it at this point. Trent, trying, to humor travis, said the theif had hair like a girl. So now I'm red in the face, trying to avoid all eye contact, and then my ears are assaulted with a loud,"It was Teddy!"
As he walks to yell at teddy, Trent and I are losing it. Teddy looks more confused then ever, and I barely escaped Travis finding out, or at least for 3 days.
The best part? He never knew trent took his gogurt
EDIT: Probably shouldnt have used the video as an intro. Maybe "My friend Travis from band was never the brightest, especially in band camp,"
This channel is insanely helpful!
