watching this from South Africa I'm just watching the Price Triple in our currency unfortunately. The American war of indp. is one of my favorite themes to do from a hobby viewpoint but the chances of me getting this set is slim.
probably going to be around R4000.00 :( :(

That just might be the best "Unboxing" I've ever seen.

it wouldn't take a year to paint 285 figures, I just painted 180 British Napoleonics in 18mm's in 3 weeks. I dare say that it would be a lot easier painting 28mm plastics even with assembling time.

You didn't mention bases. With all those sprues please tell me they provided enough bases.

I don't know about this set, but my Continental Army Starter which is all the same sprues had more than enough individual bases for all the troop models. It didn't have bases for the cannons though.

These figures are Wargames Factory, horrible and a pain to put together. I threw mine in the bin and bought Perrys.

I`m sure you already know this by now. But go to warlord games web site, then hit the black powder tab. You should find all the stuff in there for the black powder peroid .
Hope that was of some use. Would post a direct link, but sometimes they are treated as spam by youtube .So you may not have seen that if I did .

You`re going to need to get a friend to split this with you, and buy at least two boxes to get any decent sized game.I have lost count of the people on here who buy a starter box for HC, P&S or BP, Then you never see another mention of them before they even get half the figs painted.
If you aren`t willing to paint 100`s of figures, then don`t even bother starting any of these games. Chances are you`ll just give up and be left off a load of unfinished figures lying about the place, or selling them on ebay for a lot less than you paid.
Also, anybody wanting to play Napoleonic games with any faction which wasn't at Waterloo or fighting in Spain, then best of luck since warlord has totally ignored 80% of the Napoleonic wars. Basically, if the British weren't there tough seems to be their Anglo centric stance. You can get books on butchering fuzzy wuzzies, but good luck if you really want to start an Austrian army for Naps lol

Pepin the short @ oh how right thou art!! There was a better selection of continental factions in 1/72 soft plastic figures than in 28mm ! Not everyone wants to model Portuguese infantry in Spain! I love the plastic explosion but it seems like in some cases it's easier to continue on with lead/white metal figures (for historical armies)
