Saw a few comments asking about spellpower scaling with the skeletons. Did some testing with different gear and it looks like this: With 21 spell power a single skeleton hits for 7 dmg. So 1/3. Confirmed this at 30 spellpower and they hit for 10. Not a huge difference in terms of raw dmg but ya, it is affected
I totally agree with the death knight jewel roll. The duration and health make him into almost a mini boss for the npc's. It's a lotta fun to just cast him and let him do his thing. Skeleton mage is cherry on top.
Hardest hitting thing I’ve found is bone explosion, chaos volley, and veil of storms. It’s insane when the skellys rally and go to work on the dudes with ignite on them. Chain lightning procs the ignite people and if they die, everything blows up. Also using motira’s lament. Def want the veil jewel that your illusion shocks thing and veil through things to cause static. You can blow up rifts like a joke. Warlock amulet and maleficer.
@@toggle3927 not if you are using bone explosion. Already have your source of condemn. You could use it, it’s not bad, it just seems to me that getting as many different status effects (as long as they work well together) is more beneficial.

Ultimate: Raging Tempest is good for a brief time where enemies cannot attack you (and easy to reposition in a fight), but Lightning Typhoon does a lot more damage (nearly three times as much) during its duration which is not split up like with Raging Tempest. Purpose: Keep static flowing like having insane attack speed and double elusive strikes for burst melee dmg and unsure does camouflage or necklace storm shields benefit from the gem or not, but still storm shields are meant to be constantly active and tick enemies while you move and viciously strike, crit and dash and crit. It's not bursty dmg but consistent 'dot' dmg that you generate with quick melee attacks which trigger static and then burst enemies with elusive strikes to trigger chain lightning effects. Mace E, into Frost Bat for the freeze, into Mace Q for the dunk is so satisfying. Also works with Ice Nova if you need more AoE freezes for the dunk.
I've been running a skeleton heavy build and the jewel modifier for corrupted skull that makes it summon 2 skeletons per hit seems like a much better battery for generating minions than bone explosion imo. Especially on bosses. Dig the build vids!
True, but idea with a bone explosion is health restoration and lifetime reset for skellies so they last around longer. But it's viable to go for less reset and just conjure more mobs quicker.

Might try this, but it will take a lot to make me let go of my build. Scholar blood, (twin) corrupted bolt, Death knight, Veil of illusion, Army of dead, in maleficer armor and Warlock neck with reaper. Most of build is similar but plays very different. Ranged build that focuses on spamming spells and throwing Reaper E, using Q to keep out of melee. Abusing the free spells from blood and illusion cast corrupted bolt till you do not get a free cast then cast Knight. While the percent has not changed this tactic keeps up a double knight most of the time. Using knight jewel for extra life and not extra time you get more mages ,since they only spawn on knight time out and not on death. Warlock was my choice based on spell cooldown already being maxed by blood, armor, and weapon, but I might try the movement speed.
Drop deathknight for ball lightning. Run into pack of mobs, dash (so they concentrate on your illusion), then drop condemn then ball lightning. Enjoy when you spawn 5-8-10+ skelebois. Running this build, I can clear a tier 2 rift in about 2 and a half minutes max. Weapon doesn't really matter. The ones I like are, Reaper/Axes/Pistols. look fun, I may have to give it a go. I was liking doing corrupted skull with the split and causes an explosion if you hit a skelly with it over the bone explosion spell. It has nice little bursts of damage and it felt like my little skele-friends were not long for the world anyways so it leans more into the ebb and flow of the skeletons... but I like the lean into keeping them up as long as possible as well. Even on my corrupted skull build that second spell slot was void as often as it was an unholy spell... a jewelled up void is just so hard to quit... but it bounced around between void, death knight, or ward of the damned for them bosses with flurry attacks.
If you want max skeletons then Bone Explosion isn't a good skill. Because it doesn't summon skeletons on its own, only through condemn. Thus either ward of the damned or corrupted skulls are the only valid options for max minions. The reset lifetime sound nice, but in reality two things will happen first before it you get value out of it. Either the NPCs you fight against die on their own, which summons new skeletons anyway, or they get killed by high damage attack. In some bossfights they might even get outranged when the boss teleports around. So rather just summon more and more skeletons with corrupted skulls and/or ward of the damned.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing since most of the bosses wipe out all summons pretty much with a single AOE skill and no matter the gems they are on and all of them have very low HP, I've used the Chaos Build from the last video and that thing is soo good and comfy compared to this....
