Your dough a little dry and you may be over working it. Good luck as you learn. Tip carton cusrard 1/2 &1/2 with cream produces moist fluffy texture. All the best to you ,lovley table.

Aww, thank you so much for your kind words! 😊❤ I actually live in Saskatchewan. I really wanted to try the Fortnum products, and so I ordered them online. I really hope to visit the Fortnum and Mason shops in the UK one day! Fingers crossed!!
I had to take a second look of the written screen caption about the temperature you used to bake your scones. I'm sure you meant 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 176 Celsius.
Scones are cooked at a high temperature but no home oven I’ve seen - and I’ve seen a lot - go higher than 280 Celsius. Also I find it difficult to accept sandwiches in which the filling isn’t spread right up to the edges. It means there’s one bite with filling to 3 bites without. You did a beautiful job with the setting and idea. We need more quiet moments like afternoon tea to take time out for a little while and enjoy the small things in life. Thank you for sharing.

We were there yesterday while on holiday in UK. Horrible experience. Staff ignored you and made, you feel unwelcome. You should avoid Fortnum and Mason Afternoon High Tea. There are better ones in London.
