- Trixi and Harris two new late comer baby orphan monkeys each with their tragic little story, we follow thier journey to foster care.
The Vervet Forest is a wildlife documentary focused on the lives of the monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation in South Africa . We join the orphaned and injured vervet monkeys in their adventure and struggles as they battle their way through the foster monkey mom program to become part of a monkey troop again. This channel is for those monkey lovers who enjoy monkeys living their lives as monkeys should.

This is a wonderful foundation! Monkeys are not meant to be dressed up diapers and walk upright. Like Kaka and baby Mit. I pray authorities do not give Kaka and Mit back to the humans. This is a beautiful place for baby monkeys to be taken! Bless you! ❤
It touches me deeply to see little traumatized Trixi. But now she is in good hands and one day I will see her as a happy monkey girl with an adoptive mother who will lovingly accept her.
Harris, the former pet looks like he was really well cared for. His Fur is gorgeous and he sure is confident. Hope he gets along well in his adopted monkey troop. Great video.

At first, it was heartbreaking to see Trixie. She has opened up some. She can teach Harrison how to be a monkey. ☮️ 💜🐒

This started off really sad, so it was nice to see how well both of them were doing by the end of the video. Trixi had that totally lost look at the beginning, which brought Gimli to mind. I felt bad that Harris had been kept for so long, because that made the transition harder on her.
I'm really looking forward to next week's video though, to see them with Acorn!

She stated she seen a picture of when she was a lot smaller/ younger. Is there anyway you can post a side by side PLEASE??? Everyone else has said it all about how amazing the foundation is, so I'm just going to ask a question. I know that monkeys stink, but do the babies smell bad or does it happen gradually as they grow up?

They are not kept in little cages!!! Those are crates for security and to teach them to have bottles of milk in them for when they go to foster mum. If you don’t understand how this works then don’t comment.
Keep watching, the aim is to have them out in a troop with a foster mother but the process has to take time so the babies are able to be safely integrated or they could be seriously injured by the adult troop monkeys.
You all need to speak alot louder. Also with accents hard to understand then not loud enough please speak up
