You were in my neck of the woods. Seattle area (Actually Tacoma) is my home. Although this was 1 year ago I hope you enjoyed your visit. We are a beautiful state. looked like an awesome time. it was really cool watching you shoot a Stag gas gun. I've built a few over the years and they are some of my favorites. also, I think YT has been hiding you first IMP suggestion in a while.

It’s also tricky for you because with those canyons and hillsides, depending on time of day, you’ll have thermals or updraft. At one time of day the wind will go down the hill and at another the wind will be going up. Also, in every finger ridge or canyon, each one the wind will be doing something else. 😂 all part of the fun/ frustration.

Awesome vid! That looks fantastically fun! The field position with the gas gun, wouldn't want to do that with my PRS gas gun. 18 lb (8.16 kilo) 6 ARC. lol Swapping out my gas gun for a bolt gun for the next 2 matches. 6 dasher in a MDT ACC chassis. Going to be fun.
Damn thats a sweet range. I have a 1000 yard range across a deep creek valley on my property with some super high angle opportunities. Dealing with the wind is the hardest thing in that kind of terrain tbh.
How did you like that Rival S? That is my go to competition gun. So well balanced, quick transitions and follow up shots! Would love to compete at this venue!

This was great Piet. Can't wait to see how it all ended up. Just getting to participate in this is an amazing experience it looks like. Glad to see you and so many of the other guys I follow here in 1 event. Like I said before, I took a lot of inspiration from you and your builds when I put together my first PRS rifle. My video of the build is now up. I'm hoping the rain has not been too much and I'm able to get to my range this afternoon and get my zero on my scope set and then start working up a load soon. I'm super excited to learn PRS and hope to make a match this year. Planning to share as much of it as I can on my channel and if anyone wants to check out what I'm attempting to do, I'd appreciate if you came over to my channel and took a look.

For someone like me who is still fairly new to this and trying to learn about all the shooting sports and do as many as I can, your channel has been one of my favorites for getting information and inspiration. If you really want to challenge yourself you should come out to the front range of Colorado. The wind sweeping down the mountains routinely runs 15- 20mph and can gust 30+.

I can't believe Cortina wouldn't share his kestrel. I guess when one is competing with the best You tube legends, One can't afford to be generous. Was everybody told they would be running what they brung?.
We all used the same rifles. I went first, got an impact, left the elevation dialed and gave them the wind call. 😉
@@ErikCortinawas going to say it would be odd to not share. I've been to less than a handful of events and everytime I've seen guys loan bags, kestrels, and even their magnetospeed to guys that didn't have it.

@@ErikCortina If everyone shared the same gun then that must mean that all competitors were told that equipment woudl be provided for and that is why nobody but you brought a kestrel. I wouldn't want to ruin the spirit of competition and good will atmosphere of the event, but I rather would have filed a protest, then have had to take wind calls from my opponent.
