Honorable mention to your Honorable mention: A very good use for the Tome of Fire for Early to mid level is alongside the Iban Staff using Iban's Blast. This is a very powerful spell in the early/mid-game and won't consume any charges from the Tome of Fire. It also won't give the damage boost but, it's still unlimited Fire runes which means Iban's Blast will only require Death runes to cast.
Some feedback: as some comments have mentioned, the standalone nightmare staff is a "budget" kodai wand in terms of % bonus magic damage, BUT, Kodai has +28 magic bonus and nightmare has +16. Decent alternative :)

bruh how could you talk about magic gear progression and not mention the king of low level dps, the iban's staff. Nothing in the game lets you output that much damage at such a low level.

I cant stop using the tome of fire with smoke battlestaff for blood blast. Max hit is 40 on slayer. Please somebody say anything to me to convince me to change gear/spells so I can do something different.
you keep saying mystic ELEMENTAL staves in your video but elemental staves are the dual rune staves, like the smoke, mist, lava, mud, ect staff. are you suggesting a combo mystic rune staff or a standard air,fire,water or earth staff?
Just looking into upgrading my magic gear and I'm at 75 magic. Does the trident allow autocasting ancient spells? I'm trying to prepare for fighting the fragment of seren for song of the elves quest.
@@KaozOSRS Well between Mystic and Ahrim's, Bloodbark gives the almost the same magic attack as mystic (-1 difference) but also gives melee defence bonus. So between 60 and 70 defence levels is where I think I'll be wearing bloodbark until I can equip ahrim's robes.
Knowledge and experience are far more valuable than high tiered gear. I suggest selling all that end game gear and learning how to play/do harder content in mid game gear. The added challenge will give you a more realistic expectation of content and will teach you a lot of important lessons. Use your spare cash to afford to learn how to boss.
So can't the robes of darkness be substituted for mystic? Just making sure cause with the info I have they're exactly the same stat wise just robes of darkness look cooler imo
@@Dripsss The type of cape doesn't matter aside from God Wars (for protection from zammy/sara) or if you want to use Charged God Spells at 80+ magic, in which case you need the cape and staff that match the god spell you're using.
@@Dripsss They're all pretty much the same, I guess Flames of Zamorak can be slightly more accurate than the other spells because it reduces the target's Magic level by 5%. I tend to use the Zamorak cape myself because I like the colors. Though the best spell to use until you unlock the Tridents/Sanguinesti is Iban's Blast with the upgraded staff since it's cheap to cast and has a max hit of 25 (5 more than the god spells).
Hi, your vids have been a godsend .. some of us were already 'older players' back in the begining (late 50's now) 1st played in 04.... keeping up with the younguns now ive returned to the game is somewhat overwhelming. im currently using toxic staff of dead with tomb of fire.. no mention from you... opinion on item and how it sits in game with tomb of fire please sir... regards pyscodelic
Glad you've been enjoying them! As for my opinion, depends on what you are using those items on. If it's pvp I think it's ok. For Slayer and overall training through combat seems a bit expensive

Mention that the trident casts its own spells and does not have an auto cast feature for spellbooks. Stopped watching because while you have a lot of good content, this seems rushed and to be honest lazy.

Mage book is +5 over book of darkness, it also provides mage def. That said the prayer bonus is usually far more useful.

I swapped a good portion of my RS3 wealth over here and now I'm just sitting here not knowing what to do with near endgame gear and low levels.
