Yes, the ZEISS ProMax E moves into the measuring space automatically for the stylus change - and moves automatically back out of the measuring range afterwards.
That machine is ugly and behind the times! Mitutoyo has been offering all of those sensors on there machines for years. Zeiss has only offered those on there higher end offerings until now. Mitutoyo is a better machine and offers lower cost of ownership.
