  • Welcome to the first International Vlog Series on my channel after 4 years due to the pandemic! We are traveling to Hong Kong! On day 1, we traveled via Airasia and rode the airport express to Kowloon station. Our hotel is Holiday Inn Express, Dundas St. Mong Kok. The nearest MTR Station is Yau Ma Tei, and taxis arrive quite frequently (not as frequently as Nathan Rd. or any other main roads). We tried out the McDonald's Hong Kong menu and some international Asian products from a convenience store. Whew! I hope to see you on Day 2, the exploring day! Don't forget to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!

Hi! When we were there last year, it was raining but humid (sometimes felt sticky and hot). Thanks for watching!

    Great vlog, kid!
Quick q - how was it staying at Holiday inn express mongkok? How’s the hotel and the environment outside? Are there a lot of cheap eats outside?

Hi! We had a comfortable stay! Our room came with kitchen and dining amenities and a view, and there was a free breakfast set as well. In terms of the environment, there aren’t that much people, and you can easily get a taxi on Dundas Street. There is a Circle K convenience store just a few minutes away, but there are more cheap eats in Nathan Road which is also accessible (4-6 minute walk)-with McDonald’s and shopping centres (Chong Hing Square, Sino Centre, etc). Thanks for watching!

Hi! Can you please share how to get to holiday inn express mongkok from the hkg international airport?

@@hannahmendoza3960 Hi there! Sure. These are the options:
      1) Take an Uber/Taxi from the Airport to the Hotel directly (no transfers or other modes of transpo needed)
      2) Take the Airport Express to Kowloon Station, then:
      a) Walk for 3-4 mins to the Kowloon Bus Terminus. Then take BUS 95, 203E, or 281A to Pitt Street Nathan Road Station. Then once you get there, you’ll walk along Nathan Road, turn left at Dundas Street, then walk straight along the same street until you reach the hotel (it’s at the end of Dundas st.).
      b) Take an Uber/Taxi from Kowloon Station to the Hotel.
(I would not recommend taking the MTR from Kowloon Station to the hotel. It will take 12 mins longer and more walking will be required.)
I hope this helps, thanks for watching! 💙
