Hi Kevin, I'm going through a lot of stress and trauma at the moment. I find watching you paint and listening to your soothing voice relaxes me and gives me peace in my heart 😍😍😍
I enjoyed how you sketched the house, then talked about changing it and its size. I was watching a video of Thomas Kinkade painting on his yt channel and he was painting a cabin with a road going by it, and then in the middle of the painting, decided to scrap the road and put in a knoll instead. It's nice to be reminded that everyone changes their mind and that changing your mind is not only ok but you're allowing the painting to grow of its own accord.
A lot of good tips here..thank you...nice depth ...beautiful clouds...you rendered the house nicely. Natural looking grass...the brush in your hand is magical...not many can write with that 2inch as you do...haven't seen one artist yet.. Please consider a (building) technique full lesson...maybe a tad one perspective...this would be nice as a full lesson...
+Sheryl Parsons hi Sheryl, I hope.you don't mind..in reading your comment, please don't give up..the transistion will come..it Maybe about the pressure your using..with oils the amount of pressure you use is different ..light..medium..the underpainting would be a bit more and it's all about using your arm not wrist. Anyway..I wish you the best..if you'd like to indicate what specific area is ...I would gladly help.
Hi Kevin greetings to you .. thank you for its beautiful style in the explanation of the painted oil Balloan I Ismail of Egypt ... I wish you more success
Another delightful painting demonstration. It is always a pleasure to watch the picture develop to the sound of your calm and soothing voice. Just one question. How do you treat your paintings once they're done? Do you oil out? And do you varnish when they're fully dried?
+Charles Peterson Thanks so much for your support! I will sometimes varnish with a spray varnish after the painting is completely dry. To fully dry, it will take several months or longer depending on the humidity. Just keep them on display, in a safe place until then and they should be just fine.
The hard part is detailing. You're so great at oil painting? How much would it be if i use to sell an oil painting with that same style of drawing Mr. Kevin?
Hi Kevin I love watching your painting! after watching your videos I want to try painting landscapes and I was wondering what kind of canvas you use? I didn't see any for sale on your site. sorry I know you have probably been asked that a million times. but I wasn't sure what canvas to get use.
Les Butler hi, Kevin uses a solvent free gel ( available on his website) mixed with titanium white on the sky area here..here are a few links that will help www.paintwithkevin.com/blog.html www.paintwithkevin.com/faqs.html www.paintwithkevin.com/apps/search?q=gel
Magnifique !merci pour cette vidéo . J'aimerais savoir comment faites vous pour avoir une pâte aussi souple et onctueuse qu'elle est votre marque de peinture ou de medium peut être ,,,
+sadi shah Thanks for the question! I apply a thin coat of white medium over the sky and water only. The medium will increase your ability to blend the colors in the sky and water. However, having a medium over the dark areas such as grass, would impede our dark underpainting. The medium would also thin the dark base coat. This would make highlighting more difficult. As long as you limit the paint in the beginning, you should not have any problems highlighting with bright, crisp color. So there is no need to thin the highlight.
So beautiful and realistic. I imagine myself approaching that house. A place in time.
Kevin you always make your paintings come alive! So beautiful!!!!!
Your green colors are the best I can find through youtube world.
He does well
it's so beautiful! I love how you actually explain even your choices and preferences, it makes you a great teacher

georgeh91000 Wow really! That's awesome, I love "like minding" :)
That's why oil paint is awesome. You can paint down something and halfway though completely change your mind and do something else.
Beautiful beyond words 🥰 the final touch of a rose 🌹 bush just perfect !!
