Thanks a lot for the tips oand for the videos. I used the Folding Step Stool for the soccer games or a small foam board ( normally used for swimming or for laying tiles on the floor).
I had a similar folding chair. Broke after a few uses. The reason is that they are rated 100 or more kg, only in the straight position, every lean on the side implies forces that will broke the small plastic tooth. I also had a tripod style, returned it because when sitting (besides the normal problem which you reported on) the height was a little bit lower than advertised and was putting me under the billboards. Now i am using a kitchen stoll 60cm that is perfect (except of some bulkiness and weight) but i trust it the most for my body
I have one of the round telescopic stools and so far it has supported my weight at games - and I am 140kg. Going to look at the folding kitchen stool now, just as a backup!
Hi David. I cannot recommend the telescopic foldable stools at all. Had two, both broke. The last one just last weekend after using it 5 minutes. When shooting the warm up with the 400, it collapsed under me and it’s supposed to hold 200kg. Luckily I fell on my back holding the 400 in front of me… so they are done for me. I had the old foldable kitchen stool in the car, so I got this one out again. I ordered now a new foldable kitchen stool, just a higher one with 40cm sitting height, this should be enough to sit and shoot over the advertisement panels.
I'll give the telescopic foldable stools the benefit of the doubt because the copy I got was a cheap knockoff, but that did it for me. I'm using my sturdy old hard kitchen stool, has always worked, doesn't disappoint. It's heavy, yes, but I trust it.

I have the same exact stool! I use it for a lot of my photo shoots, not just my soccer ones.
